Rooms are clean, tidy, spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is very good and the staff are well organised. The food for the evening meal is nothing short of outstanding. Highly recommend this place.

This was a good location for what we wanted, we were visiting Vindolanda, Chester’s & Housesteads, these were all very easy to get to by car. Breakfast was nice, we ate here in the evening and again it was all good. Small but nice eating area. Friendly staff.

This was a great stay marred only by a very uncomfortable bed and green 'exit' light that shone in the room all night. Otherwise this is a lovely place to stop for a night. The pub and restaurant is lovely, great food and fabulous service. Thanks also for being so kind when our dog caused a fuss at dinner.

Very cool location. Dinner at the inn was very nice, butake sure not to arrive too late. Breakfast was very tasty. Well worth a return visit. We woke to resident wandering the hillside while hunting

We enjoyed our one night stay whilst up at Hadrian's Wall. Gary, Carol and their staff were very friendly, the service was great, the room was very comfortable and the food was excellent in the charming restaurant. Minor confusion on arrival about our booking was quicky resolved without issue (computer problem / booking platform) i.e. what room we had booked and what was included in our booking. Room 5 was spacious, beautifully furnished and immaculately clean with French doors onto a small patio area. Don’t be put off by comments about the approach amongst the nearby residential retirement lodges (peaceful and well maintained) or occasional motor homes parking in the car park. It's quirky and quaint, in the castle's coach stables connected to what remains of a 19th-century turreted country mansion and ruin of a 14th-century tower house (castle).

Great venue and room. Super team looking after you. We were here same time last year to walk Hadrians Wall ,& enjoyed just as much. Great restaurant & we won the evening quiz! Highly recommended.

Superb idea with a 13c castle being the usp. Some room cleaning needed attention with excessive mould evident in shower and some areas not cleaned sufficiently. Accomodation best descas adequate but the food was first class however experienced front of house staff in the bar was missing and requires urgent attention. That said we would return

Blenkinsopp Castle Inn is situated in amongst a strange collection of retirement portacabins. It sounded and looked from the photos as if it was going to be amazing but turned out to be a major disappointment. There was mould in the bathroom and on the ceiling in the bedroom and the whole place just seemed incongruous as if we were in the midst of a film set! However the breakfast was good and the staff were friendly

We enjoyed our stay at Blenkinsopp Castle Inn. Room was bright clean and comfortable. Meals were very good and enjoyed exploring the Castle next door. Good location for visiting Hadrian’s wall.

We stopped for 1 night. The rooms were absolutely spotless, had everything you needed for a B&B. We were able to check in sooner than 3pm. the food was lovely. Great location, there was a hotel with a bar within about a 15 min walk. The couple who own it were really friendly. Weve already booked up to go back in june.

This Inn has been the highlight of our trip. The owners and staff are gracious and kind. Gary went out of his way to be helpful. The room was cute, clean, and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were AMAZING! We loved this place.

The meals were exceptional and great value - good portion size and delicious. Breakfast was included and plenty of food on offer. It was also a treat to stay in a building of historical significance and the story of Blenkinsopp was interesting. Staff and owners were lovely, friendly and helpful. The only downside of our stay was weak water pressure in the shower (not sure if that can be helped?) and the bed was not the most comfortable. Other than that, we would stay again (but would ask for a different room in the hopes of a more comfy mattress).

The meals were exceptional and great value - good portion size and delicious. Breakfast was included and plenty of food on offer. It was also a treat to stay in a building of historical significance and the story of Blenkinsopp was interesting. Staff and owners were lovely, friendly and helpful. The only downside of our stay was weak water pressure in the shower (not sure if that can be helped?) and the bed was not the most comfortable. Wonderful staff and excellent food. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, both meals were spectacular. The proprietor really seemed to care that we had a great stay, which we did.

This is a gem in the country outside Carlisle. Super friendly people, great food and after a quick chat with Gary, lots of interesting history both past and present. Well worth a visit. Ideally situated for a number of Hadrians wall sites.

Blenkinsopp Castle Inn is situated in amongst a strange collection of retirement portacabins. It sounded and looked from the photos as if it was going to be amazing but turned out to be a major disappointment. There was mould in the bathroom and on the ceiling in the bedroom and the whole place just seemed incongruous as if we were in the midst of a film set! However the breakfast was good and the staff were friendly

We enjoyed our stay at Blenkinsopp Castle Inn. Room was bright clean and comfortable. Meals were very good and enjoyed exploring the Castle next door. Good location for visiting Hadrian’s wall.

We stopped for 1 night. The rooms were absolutely spotless, had everything you needed for a B&B. We were able to check in sooner than 3pm. the food was lovely. Great location, there was a hotel with a bar within about a 15 min walk. The couple who own it were really friendly. Weve already booked up to go back in june.

This was a good location for what we wanted, we were visiting Vindolanda, Chester’s & Housesteads, these were all very easy to get to by car. Breakfast was nice, we ate here in the evening and again it was all good. Small but nice eating area. Friendly staff.

Very cool location. Dinner at the inn was very nice, butake sure not to arrive too late. Breakfast was very tasty. Well worth a return visit. We woke to resident wandering the hillside while hunting

This is a gem in the country outside Carlisle. Super friendly people, great food and after a quick chat with Gary, lots of interesting history both past and present. Well worth a visit. Ideally situated for a number of Hadrians wall sites.

We enjoyed our one night stay whilst up at Hadrian's Wall. Gary, Carol and their staff were very friendly, the service was great, the room was very comfortable and the food was excellent in the charming restaurant. Minor confusion on arrival about our booking was quicky resolved without issue (computer problem / booking platform) i.e. what room we had booked and what was included in our booking. Room 5 was spacious, beautifully furnished and immaculately clean with French doors onto a small patio area. Wonderful staff and excellent food. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, both meals were spectacular. The proprietor really seemed to care that we had a great stay, which we did.

This Inn has been the highlight of our trip. The owners and staff are gracious and kind. Gary went out of his way to be helpful. The room was cute, clean, and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were AMAZING! We loved this place.

We had an overnight stay here, with our dog, in room 2. It is a garden room accessed externally via the carpark and small private decked area (seating provided). The room was comfortable and clean. Shower pressure wasn't brilliant, but for an overnight stay, it serficed. The hairdryer provided wasn't very powerful either, so took a long time to dry long hair. Basic tea and coffee making facilities were provided, but you'll need to take your own biscuits if you like having a snack with your brew! Booking in was straightforward and staff were both friendly and helpful. The inn itself is very welcoming with a dining area for breakfast and evening meals, and a comfortable bar area. Staff serving food and drinks were friendly, helpful and attentive. We would highly recommend the food - freshly cooked, beautifully presented and tasted fantastic! We had both our evening meal and breakfast here and enjoyed it all. The inn is easily accessible and quiet, serving both the guests and the owners of residential static caravans on site. There are also historical ruins adjoining the inn which were interesting to look at and read about if you enjoy a touch of history!

Slightly underwhelming rooms, no biscuits on drinks tray which we've had everywhere else. Food was good as was the beer. Staff friendly but slightly stretched to get everyone served.
