Avevamo l’appartamento n 42, al quarto piano. con una bellissima vista della città verso piazza Martim Moniz. la struttura si trova proprio alla fine della scala mobile che dalla piazza sale su. il palazzo di quattro piani non dispone di un ascensore e le scale possono essere non agevoli se si viaggia con bagagli ingombranti. Check-in online oppure tramite il Totem presente all’ingresso. Ci siamo sentiti a casa. il monolocale ha la giusta dimensione per una coppia. Utensili di cucina e alcuni elettrodomestici, la possibilità di usare la lavatrice anche acquistando le “tabs” direttamente dal servizio ai piani (1 euro a tabs). Letto comodo. Le uniche cose da migliorare: durante le giornate di maggiore vento, dal bagno si sentiva un odore di acqua stagnante. aggiungerei qualche mensola in bagno e un lavandino più grande. ci torneremo volentieri

It was hard to figure out if luggage storage was available for the property (it is not at this specific location), and no check in instructions were given even though there was supposed to be an email, so we had to call to figure it out. The check in process itself was fine, as it was a self-check in machine. Communication could have been a bit clearer overall. The unit itself was clean, but had a strong unpleasant smell from the moment you walk in (very sulfuric, kind of sewer-smelling). It was mainly something in the bathroom, so we had to keep the door closed the entire stay. There was also quite a bit of noise you could hear from units above, so would not recommend for light sleepers. Overall, it was manageable but we would not likely stay again.

The check in was very easy, but parking is very hard to get on the street. One way street and very busy with very little parking or place to stop. We had apartment 32 and the washroom had a horrible smell of sewage. We contacted the cleaning girl, who mentioned it has been like that for a while. We contacted the manager who got maintenance in but nothing was done. The smell remained. The smell made it a very unpleasant stay, as we had to keep the door closed. They need to contact a proper plumber. Not acceptable if you want to have the apartment rented- don’t recommend this place!

Unfortunately, only got to stay here one night. It was a good booty buster getting to the property and up 5 floors, but that’s Lisboa <3 will be back later in the week, may try to stay here again. Clean, easy check in and out, and great location.

The apartment overall was good but have taken half points off for the following Communication about parking was poor - they never got back to me asking the question about this. ended parking in the closest parking building for about 35 euro a night There was a terrible smell in the bathroom coming from the drain that made it very uncomfortable in the bathroom If you have a lot of luggage you have steep stairs to get up. The electronic check in may not suite all guests but made finding out about parking etc more difficult. The property is easily accessed from the ground level, and is tidy/ clean inside. * **Traveler beware. We initially chose this unit for the tail end of our trip, and had booked well in advance before ever being in Portugal. At this point we now have a rental vehicle. The listing said that it provided parking. Well, that was non existent. There is a parkade 2 blocks away, and trust me; driving a car in Lisbon and rerouting on one way/ single lane busy streets is an adventure in itself.Do not book this unit if you have a vehicle. Also, we didnt receive any check in instructions. There is a code to a small entry in order to scan your passports, and then it gives you an email with code for your unit. Luckily for us we had cell service and called / connected with a worker whom was present at the property. (* a bit rude btw). Normally Im not too picky with details, but these two things were non negotiables in my opinion. So many options in Lisbon; choose wisely.

Great place to stay. Instructions to the apartment were not clear and we ended up at the wrong building. We used the available phone and the man we spoke to was somewhat helpful getting us sorted out. When we made it to the right building, we were still confused and the lady we called was again, only somewhat helpful. The room was still being cleaned well past check in (until 3:30) which made us late for our next stop. The apartment was nice, however, which was a silver lining.

Can't overstate how unhappy we were with this residence. The rooms look nothing at all like the photos - all appliances are outdated/rusting, there is no natural light, the bathrooms had mold and rust in the tubs, and there was an unpleasant smell. Took a 2 hour nap here, during which I got two bug bites (we found several bugs in the room). There is no one on the premises to speak to, or a number we were able to call for assistance or to provide feedback. We eventually checked out after a few hours and had to find alternate accommodations at midnight. We contacted the property by email and have not heard back. Hotels.com assisted in communicating with them, but they have refused to issue any refund, despite us sharing several photos of the state of the room, the bug bites, and the bugs themselves.

We had 2 bedroom den with balcony on the 4th floor. It was a good stay overall. We loved the location. It was sandwiched between san jorge castle and moritz square, access to so many restaurants, attractions and shopping. We stayed 4 nights in total. On our first and last night there was a sewer backup smell coming from the bathroom. The internet was spotty and kept cutting in and out. Overall, it was a good stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location allowed us to easily get to many parts Lisbon on foot. It was very clean. The appliances worked well and the beds and linens where very good. Would be happy to book again if back in Lisbon.

It was horrible. The first place of 15 places where we stayed in the entire family trip where they have no place to leave luggage stored until check-in time. The place was dirty, the bed and the sofa bed were in poor condition, and the blanket was not washed. High price for what you receive. The person who answered the phone was rude and had no intention of helping us. We regret this choice. Other than that, WE LOVE LISBON.

We had 2 bedroom den with balcony on the 4th floor. It was a good stay overall. We loved the location. It was sandwiched between san jorge castle and moritz square, access to so many restaurants, attractions and shopping. We stayed 4 nights in total. On our first and last night there was a sewer backup smell coming from the bathroom. The internet was spotty and kept cutting in and out. Overall, it was a good stay.

Great little studio in the heart of Alfama. Conveniently located at the top of the escalator up from Martim Moniz place (one less set of stair to climb in a city of stairs!). Beautiful view. Clean. Well kept. Decent little kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher, so perfect for a longer stay.

We were late arriving due to flight so we arrived about 2:00 AM. The area looked pretty sketchy at night. The Uber driver dropped our luggage in the street and took off. We rang the bell and rang the bell and called and got no response! So we were two women with two young children just standing on the street at 2:00 AM. A drunk came staggering down the street and a man urinated against the building on the other side of the street. My husband and son arrived in another Uber about 15 minutes later after also trying to contact this place. No luck. Needless to say we all crowded into the Uber and went to find a hotel. Not easy in high season at 2:15 AM! We requested our money back but they refused. They said they sent instructions for how to access the apartment. We eventually found them in our spam folder from some woman. Not sure how we would know to look for that! In searching the reviews we are not the first people this happened to. Avoid at all cost!!!!! And no one ever contacted us when we did not check in. Maybe they are used to that. And by the way, I have never written a negative review in my life!

The rooms look nothing at all like the photos - all appliances are outdated/rusting, there is no natural light, the bathrooms had mold and rust in the tubs, and there was an unpleasant smell. My family of 5 really enjoyed our time in Lisbon. The apartment was very well located--we walked everywhere (except to Belem). The property was clean and the host communicated well and was responsive to our questions. The onsite person, David, was super friendly and did an amazing job of keeping our apartment clean and stocked with fresh towels, etc. We'd stay here again.

We initially chose this unit for the tail end of our trip, and had booked well in advance before ever being in Portugal. At this point we now have a rental vehicle. The listing said that it provided parking. Well, that was non existent. There is a parkade 2 blocks away, and trust me; driving a car in Lisbon and rerouting on one way/ single lane busy streets is an adventure in itself.Do not book this unit if you have a vehicle. Also, we didnt receive any check in instructions. There is a code to a small entry in order to scan your passports, and then it gives you an email with code for your unit. Luckily for us we had cell service and called / connected with a worker whom was present at the property. (* a bit rude btw). Normally Im not too picky with details, but these two things were non negotiables in my opinion. So many options in Lisbon; choose wisely.

Great place to stay. Instructions to the apartment were not clear and we ended up at the wrong building. We used the available phone and the man we spoke to was somewhat helpful getting us sorted out. When we made it to the right building, we were still confused and the lady we called was again, only somewhat helpful. The room was still being cleaned well past check in (until 3:30) which made us late for our next stop. The apartment was nice, however, which was a silver lining.

Avevamo l’appartamento n 42, al quarto piano. con una bellissima vista della città verso piazza Martim Moniz. la struttura si trova proprio alla fine della scala mobile che dalla piazza sale su. il palazzo di quattro piani non dispone di un ascensore e le scale possono essere non agevoli se si viaggia con bagagli ingombranti. Check-in online oppure tramite il Totem presente all’ingresso. Ci siamo sentiti a casa. il monolocale ha la giusta dimensione per una coppia. Utensili di cucina e alcuni elettrodomestici, la possibilità di usare la lavatrice anche acquistando le “tabs” direttamente dal servizio ai piani (1 euro a tabs). Letto comodo. Le uniche cose da migliorare: durante le giornate di maggiore vento, dal bagno si sentiva un odore di acqua stagnante. aggiungerei qualche mensola in bagno e un lavandino più grande. ci torneremo volentieri

Not what I booked. I was thrown into a room that opens directly onto the unsafe street instead of being in the apartment building. The doors all lock from the inside like a dungeon which is needed because the area is unsafe and dodgy. Super noisy outside and within the building as well. Left after one night and booked a hotel in downtown Lisbon instead. Will be looking for a refund on the subsequent nights after I left because I didn’t get what I paid for at all.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location allowed us to easily get to many parts Lisbon on foot. It was very clean. The appliances worked well and the beds and linens where very good. Would be happy to book again if back in Lisbon.

Please do not go, we had a very very bad experience. When I pull the sofa cover to make bed we notice bed bugs and also by the bed. Me and my kids got turns of bed bugs bite and place was very disgusting. Never choose this place.

I have stayed at this property before, which is why I wanted to come back. Whew! Mistake! We had 2 rooms. Dirty sheets in both rooms, one with blood, the other, feces. Windows that should open but didn’t. Shower doors that would not stay on the track, wardrobe doors that were not installed correctly ( it would block you from being able to open the drawers) , the in swing doors were not installed correctly and darn near falling off in one apartment, but, the worst…… the front door code didn’t work for 2 days. You would buzz and they would let anyone in! They would just buzz you in without knowing if you actually belong there! Very unsafe! I contact the rental company and received a very rude man who claimed he would fix it all, yet the only thing that was fixed before we checked out was the front door code. It was also super loud the first 2 nights with rooms full of drunk young men. Very disappointing as this place held such great memories from the past. Welp, time to move on!

Check in was confusing, there was only a machine and not very user friendly. We got the code to our room which happens to be next door, ground level, so we can hear anyone going by. The other rooms are up the stairs in the main building and would have been difficult with heavy luggage. Even though we were next door, you can hear the sound of anyone going up and down those stairs. The first night, after a long day of walking, we sat on the sofa and was bitten by a bed bug. We tried to capture it in a photo but lost it on the B&W tile floor. We would check the bed every day and slept over the sheets for the remainder of the trip, but only saw the bug on the sofa. We never used the sofa again. The do not disturb sign would constantly be dropped from the door handle and would come home to the room being cleaned without our permission, we started using tape to hold the sign on. The bed may have been one of the worst, but maybe because we were not in the sheets or using pillows since we saw the bed bug. The bathroom always old but the kitchen was nice and well stocked with items. On the last day, there was a couple lost and confused on where the hotel and check in was and had to help them to the machine. Location was ok but long set of stairs to and from any of the main areas. I would not recommend.
Check in was confusing, there was only a machine and not very user friendly. We got the code to our room which happens to be next door, ground level, so we can hear anyone going by. The other rooms are up the stairs in the main building and would have been difficult with heavy luggage. Even though we were next door, you can hear the sound of anyone going up and down those stairs. The first night, after a long day of walking, we sat on the sofa and was bitten by a bed bug. We tried to capture it in a photo but lost it on the B&W tile floor. We would check the bed every day and slept over the sheets for the remainder of the trip, but only saw the bug on the sofa. We never used the sofa again. The do not disturb sign would constantly be dropped from the door handle and would come home to the room being cleaned without our permission, we started using tape to hold the sign on. The bed may have been one of the worst, but maybe because we were not in the sheets or using pillows since we saw the bed bug. The bathroom always old but the kitchen was nice and well stocked with items. Not what I booked. I was thrown into a room that opens directly onto the unsafe street instead of being in the apartment building. The doors all lock from the inside like a dungeon which is needed because the area is unsafe and dodgy. Super noisy outside and within the building as well. Left after one night and booked a hotel in downtown Lisbon instead. Will be looking for a refund on the subsequent nights after I left because I didn’t get what I paid for at all.
