We pick this place for a weekend getaway and couldn't have picked better. It's location is excellent, right next to the entrance to white face mountain and there are several places to eat and shop a short walk away. Above all else, the staff was fabulous. This is a place that is being rejuvenated and has more of a bed and breakfast than a motel feel. Someone was always there or nearby to answer questions and deal with any needs you might have. The room itself was a good size very clean and comfortable and the bed was superb. We absolutely would go back there again.

Wonderful place to stay in the Adirondacks for a couple nights. Our room had been fully renovated recently and was great. They are in the process of renovating another section of the lodge currently but this had no impact on our stay. Nice, quiet community close to many of the sights we wanted to see in the Lake Placid area.

Absolutely lovely. Everything is new and fresh. Amazing bathroom with amazing new fresh towels. Such a cute breakfast set up. The manager is beyond welcoming and friendly. Will definitely come back as soon as we can.

This recently renovated hotel is a gem, perfectly located near both Lake Placid (12 minutes) and Whiteface (5 minutes). The modern upgrades provide a comfortable and cozy stay, while the kind, attentive, and accessible manager (Keith) who goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome (including upgrading our room, helping us make reservations for dinner and offering rides). A fantastic choice for convenience and excellent service!
This recently renovated hotel is a gem, perfectly located near both Lake Placid (12 minutes) and Whiteface (5 minutes). The modern upgrades provide a comfortable and cozy stay, while the kind, attentive, and accessible manager (Keith) who goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome (including upgrading our room, helping us make reservations for dinner and offering rides). A fantastic choice for convenience and excellent service!

They are working on upgrading property. When we first pulled in we were surprised by all the work being done on the building. We were walked to our room by Keith who also showed us the grounds. The room was amazingly, very clean. Bed was comfortable Bathroom was beautiful. Would definitely stay here again

The staff and the furnishings of the room could not have been better! The only drawback was the construction that is being done on part of the building. It took away from the appearance especially when you first arrived. We have no doubt it will be a five-star rating when that construction is done. The attention to detail is amazing!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Stay at Spruce Lodge in Wilmington, NY! We had a fantastic two-day stay at Spruce Lodge! From the moment we arrived, the host welcomed us right outside with such friendliness and warmth. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and clearly perfect for this role—Spruce Lodge is very lucky to have him! The rooms have been beautifully remodeled and truly capture that top-notch Adirondack feel. Our bed was extremely comfortable, and we slept wonderfully both nights. The entire space felt clean, cozy, and thoughtfully updated. On top of all that, the value was outstanding. It’s much more affordable than places in nearby Lake Placid—easily half or even a third of the price—yet the experience was every bit as good, if not better. Highly, highly recommend Spruce Lodge. We will definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at Adirondack Spruce Lodge! From check-in, Keith, the manager, made us feel truly welcomed. His warm personality and thoughtful attention to guests made the whole experience stand out. Almost every evening, weather permitting, he had a fire going outside, which became a highlight—bringing people together to relax, connect, and enjoy stargazing in the beautiful Adirondacks. Keith went above and beyond in every way, from sharing great local recommendations to ensuring the lodge felt inviting. His welcoming presence is a big reason guests want to return year after year. The lodge itself was just as advertised—our room was clean, comfortable, and matched the photos exactly. Having a grill onsite was super convenient, and being able to cook, then sit by the fire under the stars, made for such memorable evenings. We can’t recommend Adirondack Spruce Lodge enough. Thanks to Keith’s hospitality and the cozy atmosphere, we look forward to coming back!

We will visit again and have shared our experience with many others. The property was beautiful. The rooms were immaculate and displayed the “Adirondack Feel” completely. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. All the “little extras” were thoughtfully available. Truly a wonderful stay! Keith was like an old friend- happy and inviting. The included breakfast was fantastic! The icing on the cake was the very informative nature guide!! All in all A

The property was very nice and it was close to Whiteface. Had a great time and got awesome recommendations from Keith. Great guy and very friendly. Can’t wait to go back.

We pick this place for a weekend getaway and couldn't have picked better. It's location is excellent, right next to the entrance to white face mountain and there are several places to eat and shop a short walk away. Above all else, the staff was fabulous. This is a place that is being rejuvenated and has more of a bed and breakfast than a motel feel. Someone was always there or nearby to answer questions and deal with any needs you might have. The room itself was a good size very clean and comfortable and the bed was superb. We absolutely would go back there again.

We had an amazing stay at Adirondack Spruce Lodge! From check-in, Keith, the manager, made us feel truly welcomed. His warm personality and thoughtful attention to guests made the whole experience stand out. Almost every evening, weather permitting, he had a fire going outside, which became a highlight—bringing people together to relax, connect, and enjoy stargazing in the beautiful Adirondacks. Keith went above and beyond in every way, from sharing great local recommendations to ensuring the lodge felt inviting. His welcoming presence is a big reason guests want to return year after year. The lodge itself was just as advertised—our room was clean, comfortable, and matched the photos exactly. Having a grill onsite was super convenient, and being able to cook, then sit by the fire under the stars, made for such memorable evenings. We can’t recommend Adirondack Spruce Lodge enough. Thanks to Keith’s hospitality and the cozy atmosphere, we look forward to coming back!

Wonderful place to stay in the Adirondacks for a couple nights. Our room had been fully renovated recently and was great. They are in the process of renovating another section of the lodge currently but this had no impact on our stay. Nice, quiet community close to many of the sights we wanted to see in the Lake Placid area.

Keith and Amy are wonderful people and hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Lodge. 5 minutes to Whiteface. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back!

We will visit again and have shared our experience with many others. The property was beautiful. The rooms were immaculate and displayed the “Adirondack Feel” completely. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. All the “little extras” were thoughtfully available. Truly a wonderful stay! Keith was like an old friend- happy and inviting. The included breakfast was fantastic! The icing on the cake was the very informative nature guide!! All in all A

First of all you need to know this is an entirely remote hotel. There is not a person in the lobby, ever. I have stayed at a hotel that did remote check in at night, but a person was in the lobby in the morning. The check in online was easy. You get a code to open your room. Nowhere in the room is wifi password, so you have to text your “remote host” to get it. They should just put the code in the room. Our reservation included continental breakfast, but there was none. I texted the remote host from the lobby in the morning and was told there was no breakfast offered this morning. Not sure what happened there. The room was nice and beds were comfy. The bathroom is very small, but clean and remodeled.

Rooms were very clean and neat. I believe it's refurbished recently. Excellent location. Offers virtual check-in and with not so great mobile network coverage I was having trouble checking in. Having some one at the front desk will be helpful. Breakfast served was excellent and staffs kept refilling everything. Almost all the food items were locally procured (honey, peanut butter, eggs, butter etc) which added a special touch to the food, which is excellent.
