Pet friedly. There was a area to walk dogs. Well kept. The pool was refreshing and very clean. Very affordable rooms. Eight minute drive to the beach.

This motel was nice, the pool was enjoyable it was a good temperature & not excessively full of chlorine I enjoyed it alot but did wish it opened earlier than 10am so I could of did some earlier swimming. The room was decent, tv was clear & large, there was a mini fridge which I didn't expect I thought there would be no fridge so that was nice, bathroom was clean & shower worked well. The bed was terrible though like a 400 pound person slept in it for 10 years straight it just had a sunken in center. There was a second bed but I didn't even try it, maybe it would of been better.

The parking was secured and spacious. The room was clean and bed was comfortable but there were holes in the blinds so we had to keep the curtains closed. All and all we enjoyed our stay

It was very clean and accommodating to people with dogs. The staff was very friendly as well. My only issues were that the AC wouldn't stay on long after setting the thermostat, and i wish the dog area was better fenced in near the busy road. However, I'm extremely happy to have a place that allowes pets at all. Plus there's a dog park literally a couple streets away from the motel. There's plenty to do close by and I would absolutely stay again.

It was ok, nice. Water pressure wasn’t great. It was very cold, no heat on at all. Parking was strange, the spots didn’t match up well. We made the best of it, but I don’t think we’ll go back. Better suited for rooms for rent than a trip at a motel.

We only stayed one night, overall room was clean, however old musty carpet has to go! This Motel definitely needs some minor improvements. The pool was clean, the rate was great, and their staff was friendly.

Amazing! I booked a one night stay for my son's 8th birthday since he never saw the beach before and it did not disappoint. The young man in the office was more than pleasant. Check in was simple. The room was fully stocked even with extra pillows. Being in the housekeeping business, I'm particular on cleanliness and I couldn't find a speck of dust in the room. Very thorough. The beds were comfy and sheets crisp and clean and the room affordable! We will definitely be booking again!

Once again, Twin Oaks Motel was a clean, quiet place to hang my hat and call it a night. The cable TV options were good, fridge & freezer were more than adequate and they welcomed my little dog. My only regret is that they do not award Hilton points. I’ll be back!

The staff was nice, but this place needs a complete overhaul. It is worn out and dated looking. There are broken blinds or no blinds on the windows covered with old dirty-looking curtains. We checked in and returned much later to go to bed, and found that the sheets did not look like they had been changed from former guests. (something sticky on the sheets - yuk). We slept on top of the covers. Blanket and spread both had holes in them. The next morning I asked for clean sheets to be left in the room so I could put them on myself (after examining them). The young lady was kind and did as I asked, so our second night was a little better. Bathroom was also old and dated, but towels seemed fresh. Shower had floor damage, but seemed to have been cleaned. I would probably never stay at this place again unless it was an emergency. The whole place needs a complete refresh including all new bedding. Pillows were like pancakes. The bed was not very comfortable even with clean(er) beddding.We paid almost $200 per night in season for a very sub-par accomodation.

Ok so…. We literally discovered BEDBUGS in our room after the second day. When we brought this information to the staff member and manager, we were met with push back and blame. They both seems very inconvenienced due to the fact the time was 12am rather then the fact there were bedbugs in our room. I was so upset, I’ve never ever in my life encountered bedbugs before so I was quite beside myself. It was raining. It was the middle of the night. Having to find a new place to stay in the middle of the night in an unfamiliar place was just awful. Thank goodness the new place I found had an open lobby and the check in was seamless. I’m still waiting to be contacted by the owner of the property as I was told, I would be the night I left.

OK, so this place is very old-school and may seem undesirable as you approach. This is the kind of place where you park your car right outside your room door. BUT, it was clean (cleaner than many "chain hotels" I've stayed at recently. The check-in was prompt and courteous. The room was sparsely furnished, but had everything I needed: refrigerator, with a small freezer area (perfect for my ice packs) and microwave. Very nice modern large TV. Bed was comfortable. Small patching of prior damage to floor, but the floor and bathroom were spotless. The only thing I was missing is a hair dryer. Not a big deal for my short stay. Would stay here again if in the area.

This is a small older motel with very few amenities. I would say it was neatly kept but nothing special. The pool was nice. The rooms are a nice size and have a refrigerator and microwave. The TV was very large and nice. It was great if you are looking for something simple without all the frilly stuff. Very good location, it was simple to get to the Manasquan inlet and beach. If you love to fish this is the place and it also had a very nice bike trail really close.

Better than I expected. Clean room and bath. Had a refrigerator and microwave in room. Internet TV Not real close to beach, you'd have to drive but close by so was Allaire State Park. It was quiet at night too. A little dated, but clean. Dog friendly. Have a small exercise area / potty area. Would stay again.

Peeling paint inside and out. In room, damaged floor vinyl with multiple exposed holes cut in it, rust on heater, grime accumulated in corners and baseboards, handle on toilet improperly installed and do broke off on use. Bed sheet on top of blanket instead of underneath it. Wi-Fi failed to maintain connection for more than a few seconds.

This motel is straight out of the 1970s! I mean that (mostly) in a good way. It's well preserved and obviously well taken care of. It's like staying in a kitschy time machine. My two concerns were that its dog-friendly nature resulted during my stay in a great deal of random barking as the guest pets reacted to each other. The other was that the wifi was . . . well, about as effective as it would have been in the 1970s, which is to say that it was unusable. That's a shame, as I had work to do and it did not get done.

The staff at this motel is great and responsive. The WiFi is very good. As with all motels, the only variable is the neighboring guests. The management here does a good job of maintaining order.

Ok so…. We literally discovered BEDBUGS in our room after the second day. When we brought this information to the staff member and manager, we were met with push back and blame. They both seems very inconvenienced due to the fact the time was 12am rather then the fact there were bedbugs in our room. I was so upset, I’ve never ever in my life encountered bedbugs before so I was quite beside myself. It was raining. It was the middle of the night. Having to find a new place to stay in the middle of the night in an unfamiliar place was just awful. Thank goodness the new place I found had an open lobby and the check in was seamless. I’m still waiting to be contacted by the owner of the property as I was told, I would be the night I left.

When i went to check in there was no one in the office and i had to wait for someone to come. When they finally opened the door, the employee was very friendly. However, i was disappointed to learn they had already charged my account for my stay. The reservation clearly says i would pay at the property. Room was run down. Not the nicest place, but we just needed to sleep for a few hours before getting back on road. They could use some more cleaning and updating.

OK, so this place is very old-school and may seem undesirable as you approach. This is the kind of place where you park your car right outside your room door. BUT, it was clean (cleaner than many "chain hotels" I've stayed at recently. The check-in was prompt and courteous. The room was sparsely furnished, but had everything I needed: refrigerator, with a small freezer area (perfect for my ice packs) and microwave. Very nice modern large TV. Bed was comfortable. Small patching of prior damage to floor, but the floor and bathroom were spotless. The only thing I was missing is a hair dryer. Not a big deal for my short stay. Would stay here again if in the area.

Our room was clean and the parking was good. Staff was friendly. We had a great time. There were places to eat close by. Loved Pops for breakfast, Frankies was a great choice for dinner.

They went above and beyond for us during this stay, will be coming back when visiting the area 1000%. Neighbors are always welcoming, staff is attentive, and the area is so quiet—even being on a NJ CIRCLE !! This place is a hidden gem for SURE!

Cute dog friendly motel! The motel itself was quiet, it’s next to a busy street but the noise from traffic was only bad at busy times of day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this quaint motel for sure! I will definitely be back! We met a few people who have been staying here for decades!

Better than I expected. Clean room and bath. Had a refrigerator and microwave in room. Internet TV Not real close to beach, you'd have to drive but close by so was Allaire State Park. It was quiet at night too. A little dated, but clean. Dog friendly. Have a small exercise area / potty area. Would stay again.

Exactly what a shore motel would be. Spacious and clean, just smelled like smoke in our room and noisy on the side of the road. Fine for a night since we didn’t plan to hang around the room all day. Good experience overall.

This is a wonderful property in a very nice neighborhood. The staff was excellent! The pool was so clean that I shaved .07 of a second of my butterfly stroke personal best!

We don't expect luxury with a 2 star motel (and we have visited many without these issues).But it is a dump! The photos misrepresent completely. They must have been taken long ago. The pool (in mid July!) was closed waiting approval by the health inspector. Manager stated it was due for inspection the next day, but no. The picnic area smelled of dead animals and had no tables. Vegetation was overgrown. The mattress cover was stained and the room dirty. Food particles were in the dresser drawers. The reception/lobby is locked with a doorbell for service. The manager ( "24/7" available) didn't respond to the doorbell nor a call to the number posted next to the bell for service. Left a message and he never returned the call nor fixed the cleanliness issues. As we left, we noticed other arriving guests with similar problems. Looked out the window to the area behind the rooms (sort of an enclosed U shaped area for the owners/residents??). It was a shambles, which speaks to cleanliness standards. Glad that wasn't part of the outdoor area for guests. Discovered after we got home that the hotel is for sale. So im guessing they don't care about upkeep. We read reviews, but not older ones that describe similar issues. Don't stay here. Read older reviews. KEEP OUT!
