Overall the apartment was really nice. The kitchen and main living area were bright and open. Bedroom had a super low ceiling as did the closet area though the closet was very spacious. The kitchen could have used a few more amenities like a cutting board, extra dish towels, and garbage bags. Unfortunately, the balcony was not kept up well and all the plants were dried and dead. The drain on the balcony also didn’t work which flooded when it rained. We still enjoyed having the balcony and our morning coffee there.

This is a small, light and colourful apartment in one of Bologna's quieter streets, where I enjoyed a week. The staff were helpful and the balcony and position are great. Like most old apartments, it's up flight flights of stairs and no lift, so be warned. The sharply pitched bedroom roof was also a headache, especially after I banged my head for the umpteenth time in the night. And after years of coming to this country, I still don't understand Italian light switches, so it took a while to grasp access to the hot water supply and washing machine.

We came for 3 weeks to experience the gastronomy of Italy. We chose Bologna as our home base because of it's central location to the regions we wanted to visit. WOW! We had no preconception of what to discover in this wonderful city. We never want to leave. This apartment was a great place to return after a day of touring around the region. Stay in and rest or get cleaned up to head out for more. The most complete kitchen setup I have every seen in a rental property. Fabulous window to let in the sounds and air of the city or incredibly quiet to keep them out and let you sleep. AC, dishwasher, laundry, very responsive hosts. Only great things to say. Come to Bologna on a hunch and fall in love.
