Excellent all round. Room was pleasant with very comfortable bed. Had evening meal and breakfast both of which were very good. Large open space nearby for dog walking. Staff very pleasant. Would recommend without hesitation.

A friendly hotel and really dog friendly. Good comfortable rooms, even the dog got his own bed! The breakfast was excellent. The staff are very friendly. Wii definitely stay again.

The Tickled Trout & all the staff provide an amazing place to stay, enjoy & dine. I often stay here for work & always feel warm & welcomed. The food is great as is the service. Rooms are a great size, really comfortable with luxurious extras. Warm in the winter which is always welcomed. Theres also plenty of parking. Theres nothing I don't like about this place & highly recommend it to everyone - don't stay in a charmless chain hotel, stay at the Tuckled Trout for a memorable stay.

All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was a lovely atmosphere. Our room was clean and the linen was lovely. We had a fabulous breakfast (one of the best) served by the very friendly and helpful Beverley.

My wife and I have been driving around the UK for 2 weeks and found The Tickled Trout to be the best we’ve had. Spotless, The Bed was soo comfortable, Great shower, and the Roast in the restaurant was amazing. We were greeted at check in by Charlie and his female off sider, who both came out to the car park and helped with the baggage. We were taken to our room and shown about. When we went down to the restaurant for dinner, Charlie and the female staff member ( sorry don’t know her name) were there to greet us, and serve our delicious meals and drinks. The friendly atmosphere of the pub is what I will always remember. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Another relaxing, stress-free stay. As a family we've been very lucky to be able to stay here for a second occasion. The room is spacious, clean and essentially luxurious. The staff are attentive, friendly and polite. The food is fantastic. As a family stop-over it may appear to be a little pricey, but when you consider the location, the luxury, the food, the parking and the hospitality, it's great value. Heartily recommended.

This is my personal opion. Always an excellent stay here. Staff are so friendly. Rooms, and i have stayed in every one of the 6 rooms, are superb. Food is fantastic!!

Stopped here en route to Italy by car. Lovely location, very peaceful. Very pleasant and warm welcome, we were shown us up to our room.Excellent room with all facilities, bed very comfortable. Nice gastropub with decent sized, well decorated rooms above. However bathroom sliding door was dangerous. Once closed couldn't be opened by one person as sticking on carpet. Had to leave it open during one night stay. Evening meal food was good and well presented. Evening staff were polite but had to be reminded about items ordered. Staff at checkout were disbelieving about problems with bathroom door, and offered no apology or compensation. Have stayed before. Unlikely to return.

Eye convenient. One member of staff was just lovely she couldn’t have done more to help so friendly. Another was really unfriendly and very moody. I felt as though I was a pain for being there. Breakfast was ok, poached eggs hard and tasted of vinegar.

Manager very polite and show to the room and gave a run down. Food was very good and a fair price for the quality. Room comfortable and spacious. Only downside was not starting until 8am for breakfast which is not ideal for business travellers

My stay was perfect from the moment of arrival to the departure. Great food, attentive staff, great selection of drinks, friendly locals and a fabulous breakfast.

Bed extremely comfortable. Nice touches in room - biscuits, bottled water, sweets. Breakfast very generous & tasty. Lovely evening meal: staff attentive & friendly. Fabulous stay.

Lovely rooms, very friendly staff. Great breakfast, no cereals or cold buffet. The food in the restaurant was very disappointing. After reading previous mixed reviews. Over priced 2 dishes were inedible. Unfortunately the food is no where near as good as it used to be.

My wife and I have been driving around the UK for 2 weeks and found The Tickled Trout to be the best we’ve had. Spotless, The Bed was soo comfortable, Great shower, and the Roast in the restaurant was amazing. We were greeted at check in by Charlie and his female off sider, who both came out to the car park and helped with the baggage. We were taken to our room and shown about. When we went down to the restaurant for dinner, Charlie and the female staff member ( sorry don’t know her name) were there to greet us, and serve our delicious meals and drinks. The friendly atmosphere of the pub is what I will always remember. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Lovely accommodation, nice bar. But had Sunday roast in the restaurant which was of poor quality. Swamped in gravy, run out of Yorkshire pudding. Meat was poor quality, fatty and small portion. Wouldn't eat here again. It's a shame as had a far better quality meal when we stayed in March. Just giving honest feedback

Overnight stay at the Tickled Trout after a nearby wedding. Lovely old building We arrived before check in time and although we couldn’t get in the room, staff checked us in and took our bags to the room. Lovely comfy bed and bedding. Great bathroom. We opted to have the breakfast and it was very tasty. Overall a lovely place to stay and we will return.

What a fabulous overnight stay at the Tickled Trout. Everything about our stay was spot on! The room was impeccable, clean & with such a comfy huge bed! The friendliness of staff was great and a pleasure to talk to, especially the pub landlord/owner Brandon and the petit Blonde young lady (sorry didn’t get your name) was a pleasure to be served by! All round a top notch pub/hotel with beautiful bedrooms, cared for gardens and good food! Highly recommended!
