Best place ever !

We absolutely loved our stay at 1891 Home in Kefalas. Everything was simply perfect. The house is full of character, beautifully maintained, spotless and very comfortable. You can really feel that every detail has been cared for with love.The outdoor space was one of the highlights for us. It was peaceful, well looked after and perfect for relaxing, with a wonderful Cretan atmosphere and beautiful views. The location was also ideal: quiet and authentic, right in the heart of Kefalas, while still being a great base for exploring the surrounding area, including Chania, Rethymno and the beaches of Apokoronas.But the biggest compliment goes to Alexandra. She is an exceptional host: warm, generous, responsive and genuinely thoughtful (groceries in the fridge including wine). From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcome and taken care of. If we could give Alexandra 10 stars, we absolutely would.We would recommend this place without hesitation. It was a truly wonderful stay, and we would love to come back.

The 1891 Home was even more beautiful than the pictures portray, and Kefalas was a perfect location to visit both Chania and Rethymno. The homemade treats and kitchen supplies were a welcome touch as we arrived late on our first bight. Alexandra was very welcoming and responsive. We would love to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay in Alexandra’s house. Stunning views and a beautifully designed house - somehow even more beautiful than the pictures. We had everything we needed for our stay; the house is very well equipped, very clean, and we had a very warm welcome. Alexandra very generously left wine, groceries and some delicious pastries - a very special touch. We would love to stay here again!

Alexandra the host made us so welcome, she even stocked the fridge with groceries, fantastic. The house is charming, extremely comfortable and every last detail has been thought of. The pool and back garden have a great view over the sea of Crete. Both local tavernas (both excellent) have grocery stores and are a pleasant 6 minute walk from the house. If you don’t know this area of Crete it’s still sleepy and totally unspoiled but really central for getting everywhere. If I could give the house 20 out of 10, I would, we loved our time staying here. Thank you
