Our stay was great! Good times with friends even if there was a snowstorm. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We used the pool and hot tub which were great. Showers by the pool and a bathroom. Great time had by all.

We loved staying here. The location was amazing. Walkable around the city to grab coffee, food, get your steps in....we also were lucky with the weather. The property is somewhat outdated but clean and we loved the proximity to food. We got to sit in our balcony and listen to live music right next door at Sonny's - our room was facing it! Kids loved the pool options: outdoor, indoor, hot tub, and kiddy pool! It was amazing weekend and we will be back here!

The room has an old or burnt smell in it. The smell was in all the rooms and on the bedding as well. The rooms were basic clean like spot cleaning but not a deep clean. It appears to not get cleaned often. We stayed in the same exact room we stayed in last year and it was the same condition. The patio is filled with dirt and spider webs so you cannot enjoy it. The rooms are dusty and have spider webs in the corners as well. The place is nice, small and appears family owned but a little more attention would do this place extremely well. Especially with it outdated and older resort/hotel.

I asked if we could have room on the top floor and the person at the desk said there weren't any available. By the looks of the parking lot that night, there were about 25 people staying there. We found used tissues in one night stand and fingernail clippings on the other night stand. This hotel is worn out and needs to be refurbished. Worn furniture, linens, etc. EXTREMELY overpriced, even considering the location.

The basics were clean (toilets, counters, sinks), but then there was jelly and sticky stuff all over the refrigerator and popcorn and nuts inside the pullout couch, hair on the walls of the bathroom and dirty handprints on the walls. The first room we got appeared the dining table was not even washed and the fridge door handle had a big hunk of old jam on it. they moved us to another room, the fridge was still sticky in room 2. The space and layout was great for a family. We did not find the beds to be very comfortable. Would have been nice to be able to use the smart TV features (remote was limited) so we could watch a movie.

The property location was great. The resort itself was very nice. Only complaint is when we checked in, there was visible dust, like run your finger through it and draw pictures dust, on the nightstand. We are not fancy people and far from clean freaks but that was just a bad start because there's no way that amount of dust could have accumulated from a short amount of time. It had obviously been going on awhile.

Overall, a nice stay. Pleasant room overlooking the water. The beds were pretty firm/hard. The suite we booked (3 bed and 3 bath) had a main family area, in this room the window looking out onto the courtyard was stained with some white residue rain marks that would not come off with an attempt to clean, made the area look a bit uncared for. A few spots not as clean as they could be (top of fridge, shower door) Overall, this was a pleasant stay.

The hotel location is great and overlooks the water. The inside of the hotel if very dated with the carpet looking dirty in the rooms.The shower is very small. There is no restaurant on site. The pool and the hot tub were nice. This could be a great property if they would just update the rooms.

Excellent location! Outstanding layout of the rooms. Very nice interior “community” area. Only issues: rooms got rather cold despite the heat source and fireplace, and we were frequently awakened by the people above us - and others in the hallway. Therefore seemed that the walls and ceiling were “thin.”

It's a very nice place. My son loved the pool. The only thing that I personally didn't like about the stay is that the beds were very hard and uncomfortable to sleep in. I woke up with a very soar back and a bad headache.

It was fine with the exception of the rock hard bed. We were able to use our pillows to make it more comfortable but man, the mattresses are very very firm.

Our fireplace didn't work, Our TV didn't work, and the fridge made a loud noise off and on during the night. I told the front desk, but no apology or compensation was offered I guess it was just too bad for you. So, I doubt we will ever return to this hotel

Property is great, we love the view, however the front desk staff is not great. They act as though you’re bothering them when you check in. I even had an eye roll as we walked in as she had to get up from her chair. We walked to the desk and still no hello. So I initiated the hello, how are you doing. Her response was “fine”. Not friendly at all.

The shower was great. Room was fine. Thumping at 5am from what seemed heat vents. Young lady who checked us in had the coldest demeanor of any hotel clerk we've ever had and we've stayed in some Norman Bates spots.

The hotel was clean, the pool temperatures were great (not freezing cold like so many are), and it was in a very walkable location. Would definitely stay again!

Great location. Restaurant shared parking lot. Walk and bike path. Close to beach. Clean, quiet easy checkin and checkout. Friendly staff. Great pools and ambiance.

Great location! A great two bedroom stay with a water front view. Perfect location for walking the lakefront, visiting the museum and a quick drive north to other door county attractions. Resort was peaceful and wonderful indoor and outdoor pool for relaxing. Highly recommend for couples and families alike!

The best thing about our stay was the shower in our room. The bed was rock hard. My husband woke up with a backache every morning and I didn't even sleep in the bed I slept in the chair all weekend. We have stayed at this place every year for about 6 years and I have to say this was so disappointing that we will be finding another place to stay next summer. The used to offer complimentary beverages in the lobby but have now taken that away.

The hotel location is great and overlooks the water. The inside of the hotel if very dated with the carpet looking dirty in the rooms.The shower is very small. There is no restaurant on site. The pool and the hot tub were nice. This could be a great property if they would just update the rooms.

This is a nice place. However, for the price it should have included a basic breakfast. They do have a store for soft drinks and snacks, but no fruit. I had to drive over to the Walmart to get these basics. Lastly, the air conditioner is a cheap Whirlpool and it is in the lower corner of the living room. It's loud and it doesn't cool the bedroom effectively.

The stay was good. Our room was on the second floor. The floor above us, there was banging all night long. We do not care about breakfast in the morning but it sure would be nice to have coffee in the lobby.

This is the 2nd time I’ve tried to submit a poor review. The property is dated and the rooms have loud wall air conditioning, which makes the room have a very bad smell. I’m not a high maintenance person, but at the price of this “resort” it was disappointing and uncomfortable. There is no coffee in lobby, there’s no cancellation, even though I paid extra on Expedia. The quiet hours are between 8am-8pm. So if you want to enjoy the hot tub kid free you will be out of luck. Don’t stop at this “resort” keeping looking is my advice.

Unit was comfortable and spacious for 2 people. Furniture in good condition and not saggy. GOOD LIGHTING! It was not darkish at night (I hate the 60 w bulbs that are in many hotels) We like to read so good lighting is important. Slightly dated but acceptable to me (who is very picky, in my 70s). We loved our deck with view of the bay and ate breakfast out there on the table provided. We were walking distance to the maritime museum and a few restaurants. There is an awesome lookout at the top of the museum. The Irish restaurant was excellent with LOTS of outdoor seating. We liked the coffee at Pinky Promise Coffee, which we walked to twice. The busier “main” street of Sturgeon Bay was just across the bridge right by our hotel. I wanted to check it out but we ran out of time (only there 3 nights) We booked a sunset sail in Little Sweden but later found out we could have booked one in Sturgeon Bay instead. There is a nice walking path just outside the hotel. Nice outdoor pool but we didn’t use it. On the way to Egg Harbor is the Log Den Restaurant tucked in the woods on the right side of the road. It is a fabulous place to eat and the ambiance is wonderful inside and out! I ordered a HALF a rack of ribs and there was so much meat on it that I could only eat 2 ribs worth-the entree was enough for 2 people. We went at 4:00 and got lovely seating outside. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

The 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite was very nice with a nice kitchen and living area. The 2nd bedroom did not have air conditioning which was horrible because it was very hot while we were there. My daughter ended up sleeping on the sofa bed in the family room which was not good. When we checked into the hotel, it had a horrible mold smell and they need to take care of that. Thankfully the room didn’t smell like mold. The outdoor pool was great though and my granddaughter had fun swimming. Sturgeon Bay is a nice town with good shopping and restaurants and a great farmers market on Saturdays. It is about a half hour + drive to get to Egg Harbor, Sister Bay and the other towns in Door County though.
