Ramada Suites by Wyndham Wailoaloa Beach Fiji

First of all, the staff was amazing; very friendly and very helpful. I had a problem with the safe and although someone came up to fix it three times during my stay it still did not work properly, so I gave up and did not use it. The kitchen had most everything I needed to prepare meals. There were lots of small ants, but we have them back home where I live, so I just dealt with it. The rooftop restaurant was fantastic, but it didn't open till 4:30 due to maintenance, and then it was closed and last two nights I was there which was disappointing. The beach is very walkable and there are lots of tiny shells, but it's not that pretty, the sand is grayish and the water is not pretty as you would hope with few people swimming. There is a small grocery store nearby which was very convenient. I was on the 5th floor with only the rooftop restaurant above me and on Sunday they had some sort of church service with unreasonably loud singing for several hours. It's a good spot to see the sunrise come up over the mountains and also to watch the sun set on the water. I had a good experience but I would not stay in that area again.

Face towels were slways short or didnt get any but got 2 floor mats. Parking is a disaster. Dont know the hotel manages this.

We had an incident with house keeping. Money went missing from husband’s wallet. One evening just after 4pm after we got back to room, room hadn’t been cleaned. House keeping staff came to room about 5 minutes after we were in room. We sat out on balcony while they were in room cleaning. Husband had left wallet lying inside as we had just come in and he had just unpacked our bag. After they left my husband noticed a $100 note and a $50 note missing from wallet. He immediately called down to reception and they sent the 2 house keeping staff back to room!!! Where was manager? My husband went straight down to reception and asked for police to be called. Police turned up and took statement. Of course we didn’t expect to get money back- they were denying it so it was our word against them! Our issue was that after this happened we had no follow up from management. They never called us, never made any effort to speak to us during rest of holiday. I found this very frustrating and upsetting.

Very clean room. The food at the restaurant was just okay. The beach is nice and they have plenty of chairs to lie in. The swimming pool is a bit small. Overall, it's a nice place.
