Mai Boutique Villa

The location is great! Walking distance to the beach, and it's easy to get a Grab anywhere you need to go. When I checked in, there was a little confusion on payment. One girl told me I needed to pay a certain amount in cash, and when I told her I paid online, she said thats not it and walked away. The other girl said I was fine and gave me my key. The room itself is spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is clean enough, but the curtain is quite moldy and needs to be replaced. Sheets and floors were clean and stain free. Housekeeping will clean everyday and restock with water and coffee, I personally didn't need housekeeping and just asked for water. Each floor has a shared balcony overlooking the main road. Breakfast is really good, they have a menu to order from and bring a nice plate of fruit. Vegetarian options are available, I had the vegetable noodles the first day (but this lacked protein) and cabbage eggs without meat the second day. They offer one beverage with breakfast. Overall its a great value for what you pay. I would consider staying here again.

Unfriendly staff overall, with the exception of one female staff member. The remaining staff project an arrogant and dismissive attitude and appear to lack basic courtesy, such as greeting guests or using simple pleasantries like “hello”, “thank you”, or “good morning”. This significantly affects the experience, particularly for long-term guests. Substantial improvements in hospitality standards are needed.
