Perfect stay for weekend or up to 3 nights. Renovated and walk distance to all restaurants and stores

Was better than I expected. Rooms were incredibly comfortable, easy to check in. The little pool was perfect for a mid day dip, and the cozy fire pits were a nice touch to unwind after dinner. Staff were incredibly courteous and helpful. We walked up and down the main tourist strip from our location with ease. Didn’t need our car at all. Would stay here again

Check in was terrible. I had messaged them that we were coming from Australia and that we would be arriving late. When we arrived there was a note on the front door of reception to call this number after hours. We called that number at least 12 times.finally we found another place to stay the night around 0130! When I started calling that same number the next morning there was o answer until 0930! The guy at reception shrugged and said they were not available after 2100! We finally got into our room on august 3rd. It has to be the smallest hotel/motel room we have ever seen. And only a double bed which took up half the room. The bathroom was nice and spacious. We did not get our bed changed until day 5. I had to keep asking the staff for towels, coffee etc. We got the towels and coffee, but no cream, no extra shampoo nd no toilet paper. Luckily shoppers was close so we walked over and bough our own toilet paper and shampoo The only positive mark for this motel was that it was close to downtown and all the restaurants and shopping. We will never stay there again!

Nice rooms, over priced. Pool had too much chlorine to enjoy. Pool and hot tub hours are too early. Fire pits are not for use, and are shut down at 9 which does not make sense because it only gets dark at 9. There was no soap/shampoo in shower dispenser. The bed was comfortable. Walls were very thin. Mini fridge didn’t seem to be working properly. Check in and out was very comfortable and easy, that was a big plus. Staff very friendly and nice. Much further from beach than expected, choose to park closer so we wouldn’t have to carry all our beach gear. Parking at beach very expensive. Restaurants in area were all terrible, wish we packed a bbq and food now but we were hoping for an easy trip.

Originally we had booked the Colonial Hotel but hotels.com said they were overbooked and the Kiwi Motel was one of the options offered as a comparable. The staff we interacted with (I believe Tanya) was incredible. She was great with guests and was very busy always running around meeting the guests needs. We appreciated her so much. We had doubts about cleanliness of the room when we arrived however she took care of it and exceeded expectations. The pool was broken, during half our stay due to a pump issue. Understandably, these minor things happen, but nothing was offered for this inconvenience. We very much enjoyed having a fire in the evening. This motel has potential! That would include some of the following changes we suggest for this price point and guest expectations. Comparable hotels at this pp include complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash, the motel website said included but were not. ROBES! if there is a pool and/or hot tub on site. More hooks in the rooms would also be helpful to guests. Since there are bright lights outside the windows 24/7 a simple blackout curtain would also be a detail expected at this price point. A bug light would also deter pests from entering guest rooms due to the these bright lights. Another positive is it’s a close walk to the main road, beach and restaurants. And again the staff were amazing! We don’t believe this was a comparable to the Colonial Hotel. Great stay, but underwhelmed…
