My friend and I had a wonderful stay at hotel28. The location is excellent, surrounded by shopping and dining options. The free mini-bar is an outstanding idea and we loved it. The room was spacious, with enough room for us and our luggage and still room to move about. The staff were helpful, arranging taxis for us when needed and helping explain other amenities. We loved the self service laundry - this made it so much easier to pack as we knew we could wash clothes while we were there. Thank you for a truly unforgettable stay. We will 100% be back here on our next trip to Seoul.

Hotel28 was a rare treat. No place like it. The receptionists were cheerful, friendly, and sincerely helpful. I felt like they were looking forward to my stay. The 6th floor restaurant was first class, too!

Staff was very helpful and facilities were delightful. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was unique and delicious but perhaps larger portions or free flow of bread would complete the experience.

Great location close to food options. About a 10 minute walk to tour pick up point at Myeongdong Station. Handy laundry on top floor. Patrick on reception was helpful. Breakfast was OK but wont serve before 06:30 so if you are on an early tour you miss out. Interior is a bit dark with little lighting but this is in line with the movie theatre theme.

Fantastic. If you’re looking for an upscale experience, do this. It’s right on Myeongdong, so if you want to go there, this is your hotel. It’s a smaller hotel but it’s a luxury hotel. While we were visiting the roof, had Jackie Chans car from one of his movies, they had borrowed it so we took some pictures there, which was pretty cool. Staff are attentive and there’s a laundromat on the roof, when you walk out, there’s literally restaurants 5 feet away. We would stay here again. We were a family of four and we all fit in their room.

We loved being in the middle of Myeongdong during our stay in Seoul. Despite the almost perpetual craziness outside, our 3rd floor room was comfy and quiet. Also, the restaurant is excellent! We enjoyed a Korean breakfast one day, and lunch on another day. Both were beautifully prepared and service was helpful and fun. The only issue with the hotel was not being able to check in early. Our flight was arriving at 3:30 AM so we knew we would be at the Hotel by 5:00 AM. We e-mailed in advance and they replied saying it would depend on availability of the room. Welp, room was available but they still wouldn't let us in...

Amazing hotel located in the heart of Myeongdong where street food is literally around the corner. Staff are friendly and forthcoming. Dyson hair dryer and nespresso coffee machine provided in the room. Molten Brown products add on to the luxurious experience. Breakfast was delicious and service is first class - felt like fine dining with bigger portions. Rooms are clean and spacious. Highly recommended, will definitely come back again. Very convenient location, comfortable and sizable room, and high-quality breakfast. We stayed on the third floor right above the fried chicken street, but amazingly could hear none of the noise outside. Great home base for our stay in Seoul, very good and accessible transportation options nearby, and very helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.

Very comfortable hotel in a great location. Close to most historical sights and public transport. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is good with a choice of set menus, both Korean and western. It does finish a bit early with last orders at 9.30 am. Rooms are beautiful, spacious and have very comfy beds and a complementary minibar. For being right in the middle of Myeongdong, it was reasonably quiet at night (and they provide earplugs if it isn't). It didn't bother me.

The hotel was in a great position, close to Metro, shopping, night markets and restaurants. It was clean, comfortable and the staff were helpful. The check-in is on the 6th floor and the staff member on the door kindly directed us there.

Very friendly and helpful staff with hotel literally in the heart of myeongdong shopping area. Hotel is very modern and clean and very close to subway stations. Free daily mini bar replenishments was a surprising feature.

Après un sejour désastreux dans un autre hôtel, nous cherchions un hôtel confortable et bien situé au cœur de Séoul. C'est ce que nous avons trouvé avec en bonus un personnel débordant d attentions et des chambres impeccables, très bien insonorisée malgré le quartier. Cet hôtel est un bijou pour les amateurs de cinéma, et surtout pour les amateurs de beaux hôtels qui ont une âme.

Perfect location, wonderful staff, and a beautiful room (it really is as pictured on the website). The bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. There was even a Dyson hairdryer! It was our anniversary so the staff had put a lovely welcome message on our mirror and given us a little cake to share :) We had a little trouble with the heating, but the staff provided us with an external heater and without any prompting from us, they took note that the heating still wasn’t fixed and kindly offered us another room… even though we only had one night left of our stay. Really a great experience! Oh, and the breakfast is a must!

Hotel28 is a nice boutique hotel in the heart of Myeongdong. The rooms are just as advertised in the photos, if not slightly larger. The bathroom in particular was extremely well done with new finishes, separate, toilet, bath and large shower. Despite being warned about construction, the room was very quiet and a nice reprieve from the frenetic atmosphere of the neighborhood.

Et fremragende hotel midt i Seoul. Hvis du ønsker at bo tæt på alt - og særligt det sprudlende gadeliv med streetfood. Boede i værelse 608. Jeg giver kun 4 stjerner er, fordi værelset ikke var godt indrettet. Der var meget lidt gulvplads rundt om sengen, og værelset egnede sig ikke til to kufferter (store europæiske kufferter). Til gengæld var brusenichen meget stor.
Et fremragende hotel midt i Seoul. Hvis du ønsker at bo tæt på alt - og særligt det sprudlende gadeliv med streetfood. Boede i værelse 608. Jeg giver kun 4 stjerner er, fordi værelset ikke var godt indrettet. Der var meget lidt gulvplads rundt om sengen, og værelset egnede sig ikke til to kufferter (store europæiske kufferter). Til gengæld var brusenichen meget stor.

We stayed for 8 night at Hotel 28 Myeongdong. The hotel room was modern and chic, location was smack in Myeongdong, close to all the touristy attractions, spoilt by the option of food available Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The only feedback I had was the bed. The name Small Luxury Hotels gave the impression of luxury feeling, but not the bed. For the price paid, the hotel should have provided better bed, not a sunken one. When I opened the quilt cover without sleeping on it yet, the bed was already sunken. I am sure Hotel 28 Myeongdong can afford better quality bed. The fact I choose this hotel again was because I stayed there 8 years ago and it was perfect (hotel was just opened in 2016). Kind of disappointed this time, year 2025.

Excellent stay at hotel 28 Myeongdong! Best location, near shopping, restaurants, tour pick ups, large mall and street foods. Everything is right there. Great service by front desk, very clean and surprisingly quiet with all the action just in front. Mini fridge refilled daily with drinks. We went on three tours and all pick ups were in walking distance. Would stay here again.

Staff went ABOVE and BEYOND to help me get checked in. I arrived with 3 large suitcases and a duffle and the receptionist came out and helped me haul my luggage inside. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was super friendly. Highly recommend staying here!

We are very impressed with the high level of service rendered even before our arrival ! The staff at the hotel readily helped with our online purchases and restaurant reservation and when we checked in, Patrick followed up and went the extra mile to secure the best pricing! He also made sure that we could get our room much earlier so that we could have some rest after our red eye flight.During our 12 day stay,we had other online purchases and Tom from reception was so kind as to help us place the order and monitor it so that we could receive it before we checked out . I’m grateful to Tom for he was always there to greet us and provide us with additional bottles of water.The room is spick and span and the water pressure is excellent .The minibar has snacks and drinks which are replenished daily.We are definitely gonna be regulars here from now on. Though we sorely miss the previous boutique hotel ( which is now defunct following Covid )where we used to stay yearly and where we were always welcome with gesture of champagne and fruit basket for regulars, I know Hotel 28 will be the place we want to come back to again because of the warmth and high service level of the staff.Though there was an oversight on a staff’s part in communicating the right restaurant reservation detail, I am more than satisfied with the quality service rendered ! Throughout our long stay , we didn’t miss home at all because Hotel 28 truly feels like a home away from home ! Thank you !

Hotel 28 Myeongdong has truly become our family’s home in Seoul. Our December 21–28 stay again showed how consistently warm, efficient, and heartfelt their service is. From arrival, the team went beyond standard hospitality. Our airport bus could not enter the narrow street, so staff met us on a different road and personally helped with all our luggage. Even after we lost a bag at Incheon, the front desk handled everything calmly, contacting the transport agency, Incheon Airport Terminal 1, and Asiana Airlines, and updating us without us needing to follow up. The breakfast staff were just as memorable. They recognized our daughters from last year, greeted them warmly every morning, and engaged them with sincere conversations that made the hotel feel personal. Because it was Christmas, the team also played “Santa,” discreetly receiving and delivering gifts to our room so our girls could wake up to a magical morning. Their care extended beyond the hotel. When a luxury shop at Shinsegae accidentally sent us off with an empty box, the hotel received the actual item for us and let us know immediately. Our 3:30 a.m. departure in freezing weather, with 16 pieces of luggage, could have been a disaster. Instead, Sugar at the front desk and another staff member walked with us to the main road, helped with every bag, and stayed until everything was safely loaded onto the bus.

I have been here many times, and I keep returning because of the high quality of service and the convenient location (near subway stations and very near to many food options). When I face any issues in the room and raise those up, the staff are quick to resolve them. I would definitely want to return again!

This was my Husband and I first time visiting Korea. As so as we arrive from our 16 hour flight the staff greeted us with a kind and quick check in. Everything was perfect. We will definitely be staying again.

Place was great overall. If you’re not a smoker, you’d probably have issues right outside the hotel as it’s a common smoking zone. Meaning every time you step out of the hotel or get back to the hotel, you’ll be passing by a street with a good helping smell of cigarettes.

Location, location, location. This property is literally in the heart of the Myeongdong shopping district. The night market and train station are less than a 5 minute walk; there are a ton of restaurants and cafes right outside the front entrance, around the corner, every which way around the hotel. I thought with such a lively area, it would be noisy and hard to sleep. Even when we checked into our room, they offered ear plugs; not exactly a good sign. But to my pleasant surprise, I couldn't hear a thing and my room was facing the busy street. I loved everything about the hotel, from the decor (it gave me John Wick sexy vibes), to my room (such a comfy bed, amazing bathroom and awesome shower), to the incredibly pleasant and kind staff, to the accessibility to all things Myeongdong. I highly recommend to anyone visiting Seoul for the first time or second or third. I would definitely stay here again.

Taxi struggle to find hotel but got there eventually. Nice hotel rooms, good quality. Common areas ok. Annoying the reception is on the 6th floor with rooms below as spend time in lift going up/down more than needed. Location is good and central. Not the nicest street as full of fast food restaurants but everything is accessible and easy.

市内バス停も地下鉄の駅も近く、明洞の真ん中だったので何かと便利です。空港からの高速バスはイビスホテル前で降車、徒歩2分。タクシーもホテルの目の前まで来てくれます。スタッフの方も親切で、チェックインの際に子どもたちに歯ブラシセットやポップコーンのプレゼントを貰いました。最終日には、冷蔵品を持ち帰るために氷がほしいとお願いすると、快く対応していただきました。ファミリー用の部屋は綺麗で広くて快適でした。 写真ではお風呂が丸見えのように思っていましたが、実際はカーテンが閉められるようになっているので目隠しできます。 お風呂の床が濡れるのは、シャワー室と浴槽との間に多少距離があるので仕方ないですが、それを考えてもまた韓国に来る機会があれば利用したいと思えるような素敵なホテル、素敵なスタッフでした！

We loved being in the middle of Myeongdong during our stay in Seoul. Despite the almost perpetual craziness outside, our 3rd floor room was comfy and quiet. Also, the restaurant is excellent! We enjoyed a Korean breakfast one day, and lunch on another day. Both were beautifully prepared and service was helpful and fun. The only issue with the hotel was not being able to check in early. Our flight was arriving at 3:30 AM so we knew we would be at the Hotel by 5:00 AM. We e-mailed in advance and they replied saying it would depend on availability of the room. Welp, room was available but they still wouldn't let us in...

Hotel28 was a rare treat. No place like it. The receptionists were cheerful, friendly, and sincerely helpful. I felt like they were looking forward to my stay. The 6th floor restaurant was first class, too!

My daughter and I stayed here for five nights - perfect location, quiet rooms despite being on a busy street - and all high end amenities and services. While the restaurant was closed, the hotel offered a catered box breakfast of our choosing and it was served hot and at the requested time. The commercial grade coffee service and hair dryer in the room along with the upscale heated plumbing fixtures were a bonus. The staff spoke English well and were very happy to help. The daily cleaning and the complimentary refreshing mini-bar were very welcome and unexpected. This boutique hotel offers a valued service and accommodations. We loved it (and we travel a lot). As I'm a producer, I loved the film theme despite not knowing the actor who owns the hotel.

Staff was very helpful and facilities were delightful. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was unique and delicious but perhaps larger portions or free flow of bread would complete the experience.

Great location close to food options. About a 10 minute walk to tour pick up point at Myeongdong Station. Handy laundry on top floor. Patrick on reception was helpful. Breakfast was OK but wont serve before 06:30 so if you are on an early tour you miss out. Interior is a bit dark with little lighting but this is in line with the movie theatre theme.

Dyson hair dryer and nespresso coffee machine provided in the room. Molten Brown products add on to the luxurious experience. Breakfast was delicious and service is first class - felt like fine dining with bigger portions. Rooms are clean and spacious. Highly recommended, will definitely come back again. Very comfortable hotel in a great location. Close to most historical sights and public transport. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is good with a choice of set menus, both Korean and western. It does finish a bit early with last orders at 9.30 am. Rooms are beautiful, spacious and have very comfy beds and a complementary minibar. For being right in the middle of Myeongdong, it was reasonably quiet at night (and they provide earplugs if it isn't). It didn't bother me.

Excellent location and amazing breakfast, giving us an introduction to Korean healthy specialties. We took the bus 143 and 162 north and south as well as the tube. So easy, convenient and a pearl of a hotel.

Perfect for solo travellers! I honestly couldn't have asked for a more perfect hotel for my first solo trip to Seoul. The staff were immediately welcoming and spoke perfect English. The hotel is located right in the heart of Myeongdong and as soon as you arrive, the atmosphere is vibrant. Everything is really close by and easy to navigate. Amazing stay at Hotel28 in the Directors Suite. Everything was perfect at this hotel from the location, the breakfast options to the wonderful staff. Could not fault it and the room was on of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in for a week.
