Ban Chang Tong

Fin beliggenhed, nemt at gå til den gamle del af byen. Meget støj pga meget trafik på gaden, men kun når man sidder ud til morgenmaden. Inde er der kun lidt støj fra omkringliggende værelser. Værelset meget lille, mørkt, da der kun er facade ud mod gård/poolområde. Rummet virker lidt fugtig, håndklæder lugter sure, selvom de bliver skiftet hver dag. Ingen steder er det oplyst at man skal træde ned i brusenichen, ca.40-45cm. Dette er ikke særlig smart. Morgenmaden ok, men meget lille udvalg. Personalet er imødekommende.

Nestled in a convenient locale, this charming hotel radiates old-world calm and character. Its expansive public areas boast generous seating and varied lounging spots, creating an inviting, relaxed atmosphere. However, I found the room to be a bit of a letdown compared to the spaciousness of the common areas. It was small, with room for improvement. While the bedding, bed and bath linen, and amenities were good, the lack of closet space and the tiny in-room safe, were notable drawbacks, especially for those planning longer stays. Additionally, while the absence of USB ports isn’t an issue, the placement of power sockets were a bit inconvenient. The bathroom also left something to be desired. It could benefit from hooks for hanging clothes; and the shower, which is sunken and features a steep step down, does pose a challenge for guests with mobility concerns. Although the bathroom was clean, the poor lighting, dark grey concrete walls and shower floor gives a less than fresh impression. Better lighting, particularly above the sink and shower, and perhaps a brighter wall would be good. It’s worth mentioning that the room does not feature a window. However, the wooden-framed glass panels (entrance ‘wall’ and door), allow light in when the curtains are drawn back - though this also means reduced privacy, as the room becomes visible from outside. Despite these drawbacks, I was able to make the most of things and enjoyed my stay...but may consider other options next time.
