Elevator out of service and room service very slow.

PROS: -Very nice rooms, double waterfall showers with additional wall sprayer, jacuzzi tubs. -Hospitality Suite available to shower/change before your room is ready or if additional time is needed after checkout -Japanese Restaurant, the Steakhouse, and Italian Restaurants were terrific. -Spa is terrific. Amazing steam room, sauna, hot tub, whirlpool, and freezing cold pool for shock therapy. -Evening performance shows were terrific. -Gym is very nice. -Chefs grilling flank steaks, ribeye steaks, salmon, and other items outside was terrific. CONS: -2 restaurants were closed one evening; steakhouse was closed for 2 evenings. Super slow wait times for the restaurants that were open. Every restaurant often had several menu items that they ran out of. One evening, I waited an hour to be told the restaurant was out of the entree I ordered. -Fire alarm went off in hotel at random times daily. -Reservations at exclusive restaurant very tough to get - wake up early as they sell out reservations within 20 minutes daily. -Elevator out of service one morning. -Don't lose your wristband, or be prepared to pay $60.

The property is a short drive from the airport. The beach and pool area were amazing and the food options were good. We had a cabana on the last day of our stay and our butlers were fantastic. Most of the staff were pleasant and did a great job, but there were several who were less than helpful and not kind to work with. The rooms are in need of an update. Our room started to have water dripping from the ceiling due to the air conditioner. There was enough water to make the dry wall soft and the paint bubble. After reporting the issue, it took 2 hrs for anyone to come look at it. We had to start moving clothes out of the way and mopping the water up with towels. The front desk was less then helpful when calling to check on status. When they finally got to the room, it appeared that they just bent the pan at the bottom of the unit and closed it back up. No mention of repairing the damaged drywall. The fire alarms are also not functioning appropriately. They would go off randomly all throughout the day and night on multiple floors. Everyone ignored them. Overall, we had a great time but the building needs some work.

The Staff was nice and inviting but they had to apologies for limited food options due to construction going on at the hotel. We was just stuck to the lobby and pool do to construction. We couldn’t access the water slides sport bar and other restaurants. I paid full price but got less than half the experience. The hotel is not in Montego Bay. It is about 45 mins away which made traveling difficult and expensive. The reading says Montego Bay so don’t be fool like me. I was really excited but got let down. Everything I wanted to eat or do was unavailable. At least my room was nice and the view. This was my birthday trip so I wasn’t thrilled about how everything went down. I wouldn’t recommend this location until they get their property together. Oh and there restaurants that were open would close at random times and not the time that they said on their tv and what the staff was saying. So it was a few times that I had to wait to get something to eat or go back to my room to eat room service which only had a few options.

I was disappointed that areas for the kids pool where not identified as unavailable prior to me confirming my trip 45 days ago the construction had been going on for many months. The selling point was my daughter would be able to go on the slides. I would have chose another resort if I had known

Beautiful location in a quiet area. Pools on pools on pools. Water slides are a blast, though be careful on the red one to not hit your head!

The property was nice but the bars and lazy river life guards all shut down at 5pm

The property needs to be elevated. Staff is amazing But no ac in lobby or restaurants… rooms ok

Trip with 3 kids and 4 grandparents for reference. GOOD - Everything about the pools thenselves was great! Water slides are amazing. Two open and two closed (one traslucent, one super dark!). The kids (7 and 9) loved those. - Lazy river is fun, slow moving. - Main pool not too deep, lots of places to grab/sit/etc. - Food generally good but not great. Buffet is nice and the cooks are friendly with that classic Jamaican pride and vibe. For dinner, Italian and TexMex were good. Indian was bad (bland). Get there early b/c if you miss that first round of seating at 6pm, you won't get a table for 2 hours. Jade (Asian) is CLOSED PERMANENTLY. Didn't get into the hibachi (needs reservations) but that seemed to be a good time per other guests. - Felt safe the whole time. - To get hair braided, you can step around the corner of the beach (far left). This may seem unsafe if you're not used to the street. You may be offered things you don't want - just say no thanks and you'll be fine. - Talk to the taxi stand to arrange private tours -- these are legit, trusted drivers - Kids club ok, not great BAD - Towels. We didn't have the diamond club upgrade. There's literally no towels. This seemed like a diamond club / butler perk. Ration those towels wisely and you'll be ok. - Service at the dinner restaurants is slow -- staff is generally friendly but they are understaffed. - Checkin was slow -- be respectful but push to get your room - 1 of the 2 elevators was broken for multiple days.

We stayed in RM3508 last week and everyday we had to reprogram our room keys as it dropped EVERYDAY. Could you imagine after a long day and waiting on the elevator to only have to return to the lobby. On night 1, I needed sheets for the pullout bed. Unfortunately, the room phone didn’t have the telephone guide to notify what each button meant (see photo). I pressed 0 and that phone just rang. I then proceeded to press the different buttons and I finally got an answer and made my request. The room was not 100% clean, we found two pieces of pink candy on the floor and in chair near the working desk upon arrival. Night 2 in the process of reprogramming our room keys, the front desk agent did something and it cause the room to be check out. So when we powered the tv, we got the message saying checked out room (see attached) Therefore I had to return to the desk again. Additionally, it was extremely hard to get dinner reservations to the different speciality restaurants! The last evening my family member who traveled with us, were able to get us into the steak house. What I observed was 70% of the inside was empty. The restaurant wasn’t full until after 7:30pm. On the survey I received at dinner, I suggested maybe having two dining to accommodate more guests. (6-8pm and 8-10pm) Night 4 we waited until 12:30pm to eat at the bar opposite the jerk. No food was offered until 1:15pm. No explanation. I MUST OFFER KUDDOS TO “SEAN” IN THE BUFFET RESTAURANT! Very hospitable!!

I stayed at Royalton Blue Waters Montego Bay, an Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort, from August 28 to September 3 in room 3219, and was deeply disappointed. The first room was poorly maintained with broken shelves, only one closet door, and a mouse behind the TV and fridge. After complaining, I was moved to 3301, which was only a slight improvement. Food and beverage shortages were a constant issue during my stay, unacceptable for a resort at this price point. The management offered a complimentary cabana and spa service for the inconvenience, but the spa was not fully operational—the hot tub was cold due to maintenance. The cabana area was dangerously slippery, causing my guest to fall and injure their ankle and knee. Shockingly, we were asked to pay $65 for simple Tylenol at the resort’s nursing office. Part of a group of 75 for a birthday celebration, I and many others were appalled by the lack of care, poor upkeep, unreliable amenities, and unsafe conditions. What should have been a special occasion was overshadowed by frustration and disappointment. I would not recommend Royalton Blue Waters Montego Bay, as the experience left us extremely unsatisfied and let down

Roaches in buffet, rooms and halls smelled like the swamp. Drains in the shower don’t go down. Mosquitoes almost ate us alive! . Room door didn’t lock!

The property purports to be 5 star but it was in Reality a 3. Likes- swim up rooms with modern decor, modern lobby, large well maintained beach and water front. Lots of shaded seating. Dislikes- super slow staff, minimal staff for simple things like baggage check, maintenance, bar , housekeeping. Roaches in my room, clogged shower that we waited over and he to be fixed making us late for dinner. Lack of Jamaican food. Too much American food- and even with the American food( ie tex mex and steak restaurant) the execution was subpar, tasteless , over cooked or raw. Kids club only open till 5. No possibility for adults to have an evening out. Property itself was awesome, well maintained, water park was awesome ..my 12 yo rates it a 4. Again the only saving grace for me was the cleanliness and modern decor and well maintained property. Everything else needs some serious work. A suggestion to the hotel mgr.. if it’s off season and you can’t have your A-team staff to represent- close half the hotel and consolidate the staff for better service and coverage.

I love that it was family oriented and it gives the whole family a fun full experience of what an all inclusive resort should be. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It felt like home. Most staff were friendly and helpful. Overall the stay was great.

The room AC did not work at all. room was hot. there was roaches crawling around in the room, floor, table & even in the bed we found a roach in the morning we were leaving. floor was dirty wasn’t able to walk around without slippers. we wanted to use the tub and that was dirty. staff was unfriendly acted like they didn’t want to help. super disappointed. steakhouse barely had any steak available. never again.

The resort was great, not huge and exhaust you from walking around to places. I loved the outdoors Chicken Hut grill by the pool area, they served Jerk chicken so delicious. The beach was in front of the property , there was chairs & umbrellas already there. It was clear, clean water, and nice soft sand. The dinning options was ok, but i likd eating at the buffet the most, more options and variety of food than the restaurants, which you have to reserve in advance. The room was nice and clean, however there was a tear& wear that needed updates, like the shower door, shower head, the sink, bathroom door, and the balcony.

The rooms were nice but maintenance is lacking when an issue arises. Our AC stopped working so we got a new room, that AC worked but was leaking. The safes stopped working our last couple days there and could not be repaired. The pool and outdoor bar staff are great and do their best with what they have to work with but they are constantly understaffed and run out of staple drinks items - seems more like a management issue. The lobby bar has some of the lovliest people working there who go above and beyond to make your stay great! The vibe team are a blast and bring the energy everywhere they go, including the kids club; the kids had a good time there (shout out to Moriah!). The dining options were fine, there was always something good to eat. But compared to other resorts we have been to in Jamaica, the options were fairly limited and the food was average. The dining areas were always understaffed and ran out of basic drink options regularly. There was more than one meal we were not asked for our drink order or received our drink order so we left to go to the lobby or cafe after pur meal. The cafe was excellent with top notch coffe drinks available all day. The pastries and sandwiches were yummy too. The pool and outdoor amenities were good, especially if you have kids. We could always get chairs and fresh towels at both the pool and beach areas. We will come back to Jamaica, but not this resort.

The workers at Royalton are very helpful, hard-working and friendly. The resort itself is tired, but clean. Good amenties, good food options. One major problem for my family was the LOUD music that played nightly until approx 11pm. Beware...if you are looking for quiet, this is not the place for you.

Ocean Views from Every Room and Steps from the Sand

The beach was serene with soft sands and gentle waves, while the pool was clean and inviting, perfect for relaxing under the sun. The room was adequately furnished with a comfortable bed, though it lacked some modern amenities, but it offered a stunning panoramic view of the ocean that made up for it. Towards the end of the trip, we noticed the AC vent in our room was leaking water, creating a small puddle on the floor. Luckily, we were leaving the next day, which saved us any inconvenience. Additionally, our new neighbors were exceptionally loud during the evening, playing music loudly and talking animatedly well into the night, which made restful sleep difficult.

Our suite was big and beautiful. The two butlers that came with our suite were amazing. Very friendly and thoughtful. We didn't want or need for anything. All of our needs were already anticipated by the butler. She knew it was my birthday so while we were out on an excursion she came in and decorated the room. It was beautiful. She even made all of our dinner reservations and arranged transportation when we wanted to go sight seeing. The food options were really good. Plenty of entertainment. Professional staff.

Convenient, not crowded but very loud at night and entertainment happens right by the rooms

I loved the room and the spacious bathroom ... However disappointed, we had to keep calling for amenities, that should have readily available. Our fridge wasn't restocked, the bed wasn't neatly spread . The room didn't have that welcoming appearance. The staff was very friendly , especially Joan from the dining area .

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Royalton. Pros were definitely the food, beach and convenience of the smaller resort. I was very disappointed in the lack of friendliness in the staff. They were moody and quite unhelpful most times. We would call to have towels or water replaced in our room and they would never show up. There were certain areas of the resort that were not well maintained and looked dirty and unkept. Also the walls are very thin and conversations can easily be heard from one room to the next. I would recommend this resort, however you should keep in mind that there are some flaws if you are someone who has higher standards.

We just love this hotel and it was totally worth getting the Butler service. Totally totally worth it. We absolutely loved our Butler. WILLARD and FITZGERALD!! I have never dealt with such an amazing and caring team. Lady at the checkout desk was amazing TISHANA and Wayne the server at the Cabana . This hotel is just the right size. I love it so so much. I would only ask for better air-conditioning in the main Diamond facilities and in the main checkout area but other than that, it’s an amazing hotel with incredible beaches.

Poor customer service

The resort was beautiful overall, the staff was pleasant especially the hostess Nadira. She was so helpful and kind from the moment we were waiting to check in until I came down for check out. The only thing that would have made my stay better was the food. The buffet was good but I wish there was more Jamaican food like oxtails and goat. Also, the restaurants required reservations that it seemed only the people in our party that had butler service could reserve. I still don’t understand that part. The food we could order poolside wasn’t the same as what is offered with room service. Overall I would recommend this resort and I would even stay here again. I would just recommend getting the upgraded rooms.

Do not even hesitate. This was my absolute favorite hotel! The best of the best of the best. Best beat best staff excellent excellent food. An extra special shout out to Willard The Butler. What an amazing human I wouldn’t be surprised if he runs the whole whole hotel one day into Wayne the server at the cabana what an absolute angel One hard-working human. Sonja, who also worked in the Diamond club area. Those were some amazing sand out and there was our amazing helper in our room. I believe her name is Sonia. Royalton, you have done it right your jerk chicken is by far the best.

I love this hotel overall. Very big and spacious and have a variety of place/things to do. The outside is amazing with pools, bars, entertainments, dining area etc. it’s great overall with 2 exception! 1: The customer service at the front seat pertaining to answering the phone is terrible.! I been calling for a service and I haven’t gotten them not one time since me n my family checked in.. 2: The room service is bad. I requested towels and a tooth paste since last night for me n my family and no one showed up at all until now smh. Note: These are the things that leave a bad taste in customers mouth to not want to return. Because I truly like this place and I don’t want to leave a bad comment at all, but! These things needs to be fixed immediately..other than that this place is nice. Shout out to the bartenders, the waitresses and the ones that make the food. Very friendly n professional..

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT EXCEPT FOR THE CHECKING IN PROCESS. I RECOMEND WHEN YOU SEE A LONG GUESS LINES BRING ADDITION STAFF TO EXPEDITE THE PROCESS.

Royalton Blue Waters was nice, i went in 2021 for my 50th Bday and advised my cousin to go and we were able to bring 26 other friends and family. Our Butler Leo was amazing and very accommodating with such a large party. The rest of the staff was friendly and that Steakhouse was delicious along with the Hibachi which was very entertaining.

We were not impressed with the food and how reservations were made for the restaurants. Staff kept redirecting us back to an app that didn't work and seemed inconvenienced when we asked for help. This was the first of many all inclusive that left me feeling negative about the food in general. There were some really great bartenders and servers and also some really terrible bartenders and servers. Overall, we really enjoyed the property and our 8 year old really enjoyed all there was to offer. The kid friendly games and nightlife made up for the poor experience(s) above.

The room was clean and everything was working the way it was supposed to. The water drained perfectly in the shower and the sink and the toilet was tucked away in its own enclosed room. I liked the hotel amenities and the entertainment. I did not like the quality of the local food at the restaurant. I also did not like how expensive transportation from the hotel was. The hotel is not located in a busy center, so to get to the nearest town that has shopping, restaurants and a booming nightlife, you have to travel at least 30 minutes by car. In future I would stay in Montego Bay or Ocho Rios

The area around the property, neighboring community was looking so bad, seeing that the hotel was getting so massive, no money is being spent on the community... not a good look for the hotel... The roads at least need some work on

It was a decent resort. Was not close to anything and transportation for anything takes forever.

The facilities are very very nice (the room, the pool and play area, the beach). People were friendly. The beach voleyball was fun. First time that the temperature of the ocean is higher than in the pool. The food was ok. Not particularly remarkable. The variety of fruit was meager when there are papayas, mangos in the country and there were none anywhere.

Royalton Blue Waters is Simply Beautiful! The resort is beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was good! I absolutely loved it. A special shout out to Rayanna who greeted us and quickly checked us in. Thank you to Alex at the swim up bar, his drinks are great and his spirit was genuine. Thank you to the whole vibe team especially Tayshawna and Kelly Ann. They kept the party lit. Thank you to the fit team Cover and Kadija that instructed yoga. Sherika at the Spa she was so sweet. Lastly Trevoy for the tour of the resort and wedding information. I am beyond happy. Thank you for your hospitality Royalton Blue Waters!

Room service menu was limited and you have to wake up early to make a reservation for dinner. The app doesn’t allow you to make more than 1 reservation in a day. The buffet had a great variety of food and the servers were excellent. It was hard to get a towel after 3pm.

The same food was recycled everyday. If you were late for a meal and an item was finished, that would be it for that meal. Nothing is replenished and they force you from the dining room

I will not be back to this resort! The resort has several restaurants, bars and a buffet. However, I could never get a reservation for any high end restaurant and was limited to the buffet (which was very good) and room service (which was terrible). The buffet was excellent with many choices and delicious dishes. The restaurants not requiring a reservation were terrible because the service was slow and the food was not good. It's as though they did it on purpose so you would go to the buffet. The room service delivered incomplete orders with no cares about getting it right. I would not book this resort for the restaurant options cause they don't exist. The only good things about the resort were the buffet was excellent and the rooms were clean. I would not book this resort again.

I like the meat options at the buffet. I would have like more fruit options, fruits is the reason we came to the Caribbean. I think the desert options are good but the pieces were too big , smaller cuts would have been nice, so people can try more than one and avoid wastage .. the beach and pool was amazing. Overall apart from the food our stay was memorable.

Overall experience was fantastic! The rooms were nice and beds comfortable. All of the staff were SO nice! The food was delicious. We did have a hard time booking Zen and never got to eat there. We had friends that got in and said 2 of 6 tables was empty. (Tables sat 10 each). All and all it was a great place and we would go again.

The property layout is great. Its not a huge resort so easy to get around. No shuttle required onsite. The staff is kind of friendly but that is expected of Jamaica being on “island time” all year round lol. The steak house is to be avoided. We waited for 1.5 hours for food to arrive and just ended up leaving to go to the buffet. The night entertainment was amazing with lots of dancer performers and acrobats for Sat and Sun night.

Great food, very understaffed and overworked staff. Not enough food, always ran out of selections very early in the day and night. Nightly entertainment was the worst I’ve seen on a resort, very low budget, terrible sound equipment. Royalton needs to do much better to compete with other resorts, it’s apparent that Management is restricting the food quantity and cheating out on the entertainment.
