Our stay was perfect for us (8 adults). A beautiful clean, quiet and airconditioned home with pool and long table in the shade outside to enjoy eating together. The owner did everything to make the house as comfortable as possible (incl. workout equipment and two kitchens). It is especially suited if you want to be out of the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist towns. The central location makes travel in all directions possible. Rethymno is close by (useful if you want to hop to Santorini), Chania and Heraklion easy to reach by road. Many beaches within driving distance. The service by the owner, our personal assistant and VRBO were exceptional. Immediate responses to questions and issues (a developing hornet's nest was removed within an hour after we noticed it) and always helpful. Car reservation was set up for us in advance as well, making this a very smooth and enjoyable vacation. Locally, it is very easy to order in food or eat at one of the local restaurants. The food is excellent and way more than you can eat. We highly recommend this place.
