The hotel is lovely and unique. Staff were excellent. Kite flying was so much fun. The restaurant catered well for vegans at breakfast. Only snag is that it was a little difficult to find and there are some steep steps at the front of the building, so a little difficult for those with impaired mobility.

The hotel has been beautifully restored, but reaching the hotel is via a narrow walkway by foot in Old Delhi. Porters were very helpful taking our luggage when checking-out to the nearest road for a taxi pick-up. Staff also helped in arranging a taxi.

Very nice and unique property . Loved kite flying in the evening .. very good customer service by everyone . Getting there is tricky but once you get it it’s easy to find and in and out is also easy . Must stay once in lifetime to experience . Breakfast has limited options

The place was wonderfull, the staff was great .. However the buildings are separate (Golden Haveli) which means you will walk about 500 m down a narrow (sketchy) alley at night and early morning as the all food/ activities is in the main building. The tasting menu is relatively expensive and kinda boring

Wonderful spot in Shah Jehanabad (Old Delhi). There are not many options to stay in the old city, but this is lovely, if a bit quirky. Renovation has been true to the building's integrity, which might make some rooms smaller than one might expect. The a/c worked well on a 47C day. Really exactly what I wanted and expected in this wonderful area of Delhi. Kite flying and pigeons on roof a bonus. Drinks expensive but food good.

Taxis/ubers/rickshaws took me to the train station down the alley and hotel staff came to meet me to assist with my bags when needed. Kite flying/drinks/sunset/views every evening from the rooftop. Great meals with live music and dancing at dinner. Delicious breakfast. Great staff. Highly recommend.

The room was very clean and beautifully furnished and decorated with attractive fittings. The bathroom was compact but well equipped and designed. However, the slightly squint and cheap toilet seat spoilt the overall luxurious feel. The air conditioning was efficient and comforting and the rooms were quiet, easy places to relax privately.

Tricky one to review. The pros are that it’s a wonderful heritage building, an oasis of calm surrounded my the hectic streets of Old Delhi. Not for everyone as no car access and not everyone would want to stay in this part of Delhi, but we found it the perfect way to explore the main sights and backstreets! The cons are it’s very expensive for what it is, limited facilities, average and overpriced food, issues with noise as other reviews have highlighted. I also found the staff to be pushy, felt like they are working for tips rather than being genuinely helpful which should be the case given the already high price tag. We also saw a rat in the restaurant and staff just ignored it and moved us outside, presumably to not alert other diners. Such a shame as otherwise the place was very clean - clearly rats will be around the area but wouldn’t expect them to be in the restaurant of a luxury hotel full of paying customers! However, overall I WOULD recommend this place as somewhere unique and beautiful to explore Old Delhi, it was the best way to experience it and I’d stay again!

The Haveli Dharampura is a beautiful, historical place with lovely staff. All the facilities and rooms are clean and the breakfast was delicious. The staff are very welcoming and happy to accommodate any requests. The location of the Haveli is in the middle of the markets so be prepared for the typical Delhi streets when you step outside. We highly recommend this place and would stay there again.

Staying at Haveli Dharampura was one of the best parts of our visit to Delhi. The property itself is beyond beautiful - the rooms are spacious, gorgeous and clean, the entire Haveli is fantastically maintained to give a sense of the past without losing any modern convenience. The staff was super friendly, at all times (we checked in at 4:30 AM and still were greeted with smiles and grace!) The food was fantastic. The crowning glory was the Kathak performance and the rooftop. In short, do NOT MISS staying at Haveli Dharampura.

Great location in hectic Old Dehli with lots of charm. The downside was that it was noisy at night but perhaps that was because of Devali. Dinner from the restaurant was excellent and the rooftop area is nice to relax in. Especially enjoyed the kite flying and overlooking the roofs. Room was spacious, clean and with good AC. The annoying parts was that communication with the hotel was a disaster and not with line with a hotel of this standard. They don’t answer on email and WhatsApp and when they do things go wrong with airport pick up. Very nonchalant. Breakfast was a disappointment and a very bland affair.

Albergo bello, non bellissimo. Camera bella. Palazzo storico recuperato dopo anni di abbandono. È in old Delhi, dentro i vicoletti quindi non ci arrivi in macchina. In più c'è un po' di confusione tutta la notte. Personale come sempre carinissimo. Hanno due palazzi a poca distanza l' uno dall' altro

Wonderful hotel right in Old Delhi! Like others have said, the entrance isn't accessible by vehicle at all so there's a short walk in the tiny streets of Old Delhi -- not a big deal and pretty cool if you ask me. The hotel is beautiful and rooms were perfect!

Staying at Haveli Dharampura was one of the best parts of our visit to Delhi. The property itself is beyond beautiful - the rooms are spacious, gorgeous and clean, the entire Haveli is fantastically maintained to give a sense of the past without losing any modern convenience. The staff was super friendly, at all times (we checked in at 4:30 AM and still were greeted with smiles and grace!) The food was fantastic. The crowning glory was the Kathak performance and the rooftop. In short, do NOT MISS staying at Haveli Dharampura.

The staff was amazing! They made sure our stay was comfortable even switching our room after the first night because it was so noisy. They walked us out to the street and waited with us with our luggage while we waited for our car which we really appreciated. The breakfast was delicious and at dinner they have some dancers for entertainment. The only issue is the location it is in a very chaotic spot and you have to go down a scary alley to get to it. We arrived at 4 am and thankfully our driver walked us in because we were terrified. They make every effort to accompany you out to the street when leaving to make you feel safe though.the property itself is beautiful and monkeys all over the roof!

Great location in hectic Old Dehli with lots of charm. The downside was that it was noisy at night but perhaps that was because of Devali. Dinner from the restaurant was excellent and the rooftop area is nice to relax in. Especially enjoyed the kite flying and overlooking the roofs. Room was spacious, clean and with good AC. The annoying parts was that communication with the hotel was a disaster and not with line with a hotel of this standard. They don’t answer on email and WhatsApp and when they do things go wrong with airport pick up. Very nonchalant. Breakfast was a disappointment and a very bland affair.

We had a great time staying here, everything we needed was there. We had great food in the restaurant, helpful staff and they assisted us when we got lost finding the hotel. The only thing was we chose to stay there for the AC, which we were told had been switched off for the heating for the winter. We were in a room with no windows or ventilation which made sleeping harder for my partner. He wasn’t very happy with this after speaking to the night manager. Other than this, it is well worth staying!

The hotel is a beautifully restores haveli and is true my one of a kind. We loved the character, activities, and ambiance that the hotel offered. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was modern. However, the rooms are small, air conditioning is weak, and the interior room windows result in limited privacy. Nonetheless, the experience the hotel offers greatly out way the negatives. I highly recommend staying here for short trips 1-3 days. For longer trips, staying in Old Delhi may be tiring.

The hotel is lovely and unique. Staff were excellent. Kite flying was so much fun. The restaurant catered well for vegans at breakfast. Only snag is that it was a little difficult to find and there are some steep steps at the front of the building, so a little difficult for those with impaired mobility.

A very beautiful hotel. Conveniently walkable to Red Fort and old bazar . I would have given excellent, if the charge for private taxi had not been a total rip off. If you prefer to arrange it through hotel only accept like a third of the price they offer.

Desde o inicio, quando estava buscando e definindo a hospedagem, entrei em contato com Haveli e sempre foram muito atenciosos, escolhi passar uma noite pois era uma data muito especial, e o hotel me pareceu ser algo especial, diferente de tudo. E realmente, foi incrível! Mesmo com o caos do transito de Delhi (e isso não é uma critica, pois em Sâo Paulo, cidade que moro, o transito é tão caotico quanto...) quando estavamos a caminho do hotel, avise que estavamos chegando nos foi enviado uma equipe para ajudar com as malas, pois o local onde o hotel está não é acessivel a carro, é preciso descer proximo e caminhar alguns metros. Isso não foi problema, até gostei pois foi uma experiencia nova. Os meninos foram até o ponto combinado, pegaram todas as malas e bolsas e carregaram gentilmente para nós, nos fazendo sentir Marajás. Essas pequenas sutilezas são grandes atitudes e que levo muito em consideração. Chegando no Haveli, já fomos direto para o edificio onde tem o restaurante, parecia que estava tudo combinado, pois assim que chegamos, nos convidaram a ver uma apresentação de dança. Logo em seguida subimos para a cobertura e pudemos visualizar a Old Delhi por uma outra perspectiva. Descemos para o jantar e fomos atendidos por um garçon (infelizmente não consigo lembrar o nome dele, me desculpem, mas lembro que ele é muito fã do El Chapo) que foi muito solicitido, estavamos com duvidas sobre o que pedir e ele nos ajudou com sugestões que muito apreciamos. Quarto maravilhoso! <3

Great hotel with lovely staff, only drawback is that it’s a bit tricky for cars to reach to so you will need to walk 150m or so but still very accessible. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others - it’s absolutely beautiful.

The Haveli is an architecturally significant property with period furnishings, marble, tile, and brass, that gives an old world feel. The rooms are small, but well appointed, and clean. The restaurant serves very good Indian fare, and the staff is especially friendly and helpful. It is quirky and charming and makes you feel like you've gone back in time. But Buyer Beware: the Haveli says it is located in "historic" Old Delhi. It is in the Muslim Ghetto of Old Delhi. The surrounding area is extremely dirty, noisy, and chaotic. There is no street access to the hotel. You are dropped off in front of the largest Mosque in India, and you carry your bags down narrow, filthy alleyways about 600 yards to get to the hotel. The hotel entrance is again, in a narrow, filthy alley where you must jump out of the way of motorbikes and Vespas that scream down the alley, mongrel dogs (some with mange) and fetid pools of water and god knows what else dot your path. And the front desk and restaurant is in a different building (in the same alley) from the chamber building with guest rooms. So to get from your room to the restaurant you must venture out into the alleyway, as described above. Make no mistake, the hotel interior is beautiful and once inside, you feel like you're in a refuge. But outside the hotel is another world. If you're a hipster or adventure traveler, this might be for you. We had a pleasant stay. But if you seek a more traditional hotel stay, this is not it.

had a really nice couple of nights at the Havelli. quite a unique place I think. It’s in the heart of old Delhi but all things considered remarkably peaceful. I wasn’t entirely sure when I read the reviews but I’m glad I went there. Some clarification for those who are uncertain 1. It’s on a little pedestrian lane that’s actually not too busy and very sweet. 2. Incredibly centrally located. A couple of minutes walk from the mosque. 3. Felt very safe. The usual warnings about pick pockets but I never felt in the slightest bit worried. 4. access is actually quite easy. Bike tuk tuks will take you pretty much to the door. and the road is only a minute or so walk away. 5. there is another property about 50 yards away which also sounds lovely but I didn’t stay there. 6. very fine restoration. I’m told it took five years and I can believe it. I don’t know that you’d want to stay there for a week. Just because old Delhi is a bit overwhelming. But for two or three nights it’s an experience not to be missed. A haven of peace in a cacophonous frenetic but fascinating part of the city.

Property is located in the middle of the bazaar and offers a surprising contrast between the craziness of the bazaar and the charm of this UNESCO acclaimed palace. Beautifully renovated palace and food were great. We arrived at night and traversed a maze of narrow lanes until we finally found the hotel - it is a cool experience.

The Haveli is an architecturally significant property with period furnishings, marble, tile, and brass, that gives an old world feel. The rooms are small, but well appointed, and clean. The restaurant serves very good Indian fare, and the staff is especially friendly and helpful. It is quirky and charming and makes you feel like you've gone back in time. But Buyer Beware: the Haveli says it is located in "historic" Old Delhi. It is in the Muslim Ghetto of Old Delhi. The surrounding area is extremely dirty, noisy, and chaotic. There is no street access to the hotel. You are dropped off in front of the largest Mosque in India, and you carry your bags down narrow, filthy alleyways about 600 yards to get to the hotel. The hotel entrance is again, in a narrow, filthy alley where you must jump out of the way of motorbikes and Vespas that scream down the alley, mongrel dogs (some with mange) and fetid pools of water and god knows what else dot your path. And the front desk and restaurant is in a different building (in the same alley) from the chamber building with guest rooms. So to get from your room to the restaurant you must venture out into the alleyway, as described above. Make no mistake, the hotel interior is beautiful and once inside, you feel like you're in a refuge. But outside the hotel is another world. If you're a hipster or adventure traveler, this might be for you. We had a pleasant stay. But if you seek a more traditional hotel stay, this is not it.

Very nice and unique property . Loved kite flying in the evening .. very good customer service by everyone . Getting there is tricky but once you get it it’s easy to find and in and out is also easy . Must stay once in lifetime to experience . Breakfast has limited options

Its a great place. The Haveli has been lovingly restored and is amazing. So many interesting features to find. Roof terrace and restaurant are little havens after a day in Dehli. Food in restaurant in the evening is great: have the taster menu: you wont regret it. Its on a little back street in Old Dehli. In fact heritage road is quite quaint in its way. I didnt feel unsafe. It is in walking distance of Red Fort and main mosque, and plentiful access to rickshaws. Uber is your friend too. So well located in that respect. Old Dehli is very deprived. If you are not expecting a certain squalor to the area then you may not feel comfortable. The walk to the Red Fort will open your eyes and your nostrils! But. Its real life Dehli and that is a valuable experience. Going back to the Haveli is a perfect sanctuary at end of day. We did a day in New Delhi too. I understood Connaught Square is a common place for western hotels. Tbh I didnt like it and Im pleased we stayed where we did. Cant emphasise enough how great this hotel is in terms of sanctuary, history, food and experience. But if you arnt comfortable walking through the surrounding poverty its probably not for you. And maybe give Dehli a miss!

The place was wonderfull, the staff was great .. However the buildings are separate (Golden Haveli) which means you will walk about 500 m down a narrow (sketchy) alley at night and early morning as the all food/ activities is in the main building. The tasting menu is relatively expensive and kinda boring

Great location in hectic Old Dehli with lots of charm. The downside was that it was noisy at night but perhaps that was because of Devali. Dinner from the restaurant was excellent and the rooftop area is nice to relax in. Especially enjoyed the kite flying and overlooking the roofs. Room was spacious, clean and with good AC. The annoying parts was that communication with the hotel was a disaster and not with line with a hotel of this standard. They don’t answer on email and WhatsApp and when they do things go wrong with airport pick up. Very nonchalant. Breakfast was a disappointment and a very bland affair.

Wonderful spot in Shah Jehanabad (Old Delhi). There are not many options to stay in the old city, but this is lovely, if a bit quirky. Renovation has been true to the building's integrity, which might make some rooms smaller than one might expect. The a/c worked well on a 47C day. Really exactly what I wanted and expected in this wonderful area of Delhi. Kite flying and pigeons on roof a bonus. Drinks expensive but food good.

This hotel is an oasis in the crowded, but exciting old delhi. You can’t drive all the way to to the hotel. Taxis/ubers/rickshaws took me to the train station down the alley and hotel staff came to meet me to assist with my bags when needed. Kite flying/drinks/sunset/views every evening from the rooftop. Great meals with live music and dancing at dinner. Delicious breakfast. Great staff. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing oasis in the teeming dirty tumult of old Delhi. A confronting contrast to what lies around. For all that the concept is well executed but expect to feel uncomfortable as a “have” amongst many “have nots”.

This is the area where you should avoid at all cost, the traffic is a chaos and the hotel is located in a small alley where car is not allowed. A place for budget traveller traveling with backpack; however, if you have have WiFi you can call the hotel to help you with the luggage. The employees are very helpful, especially Shiva and the porters. The pictures on the site are overly photoshopped, it was not bad bad, but just not like the photos.

This Haveli is amazing. It is a beautiful property with history and charm. The area it resides, in the heart of the old and historical part of Delhi, can be a bit overwhelming but the Haveli is there to ensure you are able to do anything you want in the city of Delhi with ease and security.

We enjoyed our stay at Haveli. Location is off the beaten path, down an alleyway which is not advertised, but after a couple of times you get used to it. Staff was helpful in escorting us through the alley and exchange cash. Restaurant prices are upcharged compared to other elevated restaurants in Delhi, but that was as to be expected.
