Solea Mactan Resort

Für Kinder ist der Aquapark ein kleines Paradies. Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet eine gigantische Auswahl. Leider wird der Unterhalt etwas vernachlässigt. Im ersten Zimmer, das uns zugewiesen wurde lief das Wasser im Waschbecken nicht ab. Der kleine Hebel für die Betätigung des Stöpsels war nicht vorhanden, weshalb der Ablauf nicht geöffnet werden konnte. Die Schiebetüre zum Balkon liess sich nicht öffnen, da die Führungsschiene defekt war. Solche Mängel müssten eigentlich vom Hausdienst bemerkt und behoben werden. Wir erhielten dann ein neues Zimmer. Der Wasserablauf war auch dort nur zögerlich, aber wir konnten damit leben. Es war nicht das erste Mal, dass wir dieses Problem in diesem Hotel bemerken. Die Abläufe mal richtig durchzuspülen wäre eigentlich keine grosse Sache...

Wir waren zufrieden mit diesem Hotel. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig, aber vorwiegend auf die asiatische Kundschaft ausgerichtet. Ich würde mir 'richtiges' Brot wünschen. Die 'Brote' sind schwammig und vielfach sehr süss. Aber das ist nur ein Detail aus der Sicht eines Westeuropäers. Während der Festtage werden im Garten viele Firmenevents bis spät in die Nacht abgehalten, was zu einer erheblichen Lärmbelästigung führt. Aufgrund früherer Erfahrungen haben wir auf der Rückseite des Hotels gebucht. Dort ist der Lärm erträglich.

The room was clean but did have to follow up each day with room keeping staff regarding clean towels and bathroom amenities for the room after it was cleaned each day which customers should not have to do this as this should be done each day by the staff when the room is tidied up and cleaned each day. The air conditioning system in the room also was not the best and didn’t seem to work properly. Outdoor pools and beach were great and staff were really friendly and helpful. I did try the buffet for dinner on the Saturday night. The dining starts at 6pm I arrived at 6:30pm for dinner, even though the buffet had a vast selection of food, the food was cold already and quite disappointing the taste of each selection not what I expected from a dinner buffet. I did try to give it another chance for the morning buffet the next day which was Mother’s Day which was an even greater disappointment. I feel management need to take the full responsibility here. Even though like most customers at the resort/hotel would have prepaid for breakfast there was a 30-40 minutes wait before I was seated. There was no seats inside the restaurant and was seated outside in the bar area as no room inside the restaurant. When I did get to serve myself there was no plates to serve and clean plates not refilled. Once again there were plenty of options but this time there was no food as nearly all had run out and not replenished by the kitchen as seems they ran out. Management seems did not pre plan day

My husband got bitten by a tick and have to changed room almost midnight because I was scared for my 7 months old baby.

Dåligt att frukost endast ingår för vuxna, vi fick betala extra för att våra barn på 12 och 14 skulle få äta frukost. Hotellet känns lite slitet och flera av poolerna var avstängda.
