Very nice staff. Unfortunately, our room had a faint urine smell. They had obviously tried to clean the carpets but they need to tear out the carpets because it’s probably baked in. Also, the tv light would not shut off. I could not sleep. Otherwise it’s a mid level boutique style hotel. Nice breakfast. 80s country decor.

A lovely place and our second stay here, but maybe our last. I want to mention that if you visit during a hotter day (above 75), the air conditioning mentioned in the listing is a portable air conditioning unit that hooks to the window via a hose. It does cool the room but is noisy and makes sleeping difficult. Also, there is no air conditioning in any of the public spaces, but they did provide ice in bags should you need it (& we did). The breakfast was only ok (French toast was delicious though) because the pastries were still practically frozen. So much so that I dropped the tiny cinnamon roll on my plate and it made a loud thump and bounced, so those were inedible (due to not being thawed). This really surprised me as people raved about the breakfast in reviews. The staff was all incredibly nice and helpful, so they really made the stay much better than it would have been otherwise. The room was clean, as were all public spaces. The kind lady who checked us in (maybe the owner?) was also super nice in allowing me to borrow an electric tea kettle for my room since I drink tea so often. I deeply appreciated that! They also have a full tea, coffee, and hot cocoa station in the public area that you can use any time of day, and that was so nice to have. I remember my first visit being top-notch, but I am a little disappointed in this one, so if we try again, it will be in the cooler months to avoid those air-conditioning units.

I absolutely loved this place. Highly recommend for couples, especially if your looking for a romantic relaxing night. Walkable to some restaurants and quiet at night. I was also extremely happy that this place allowed us to open all the windows. I hate staying somewhere I cant get fresh air in the room.
