Great breakfast oatmeal bar. Nice pool and pickleball court. Loved the feel of the hotel but there were people playing cornhole late into the night right outside our door (5 feet away)… need some management or security to shut down late night parties (past midnight)

We love this place.. the people, the facilities, the beds. It's super pet-friendly and even has some charging stations for electric cars. The staff are great.. easy checkin.. the whole package! The only knock was that the air conditioner in our room was noisy.. worked great.. but made weird noises.

Super fun hotel! Came in on a Friday and enjoyed the band while drinking our free beverage from the bar. Room was spotless and staff was friendly and helpful.

I trusted the reviews and was rewarded for doing so. The hotel is completely renovated, and the lobby/bar area is a really cool space. The free drink token was a nice perk as well. The open space was well utilized with a great pool, pickle ball courts, corn hole, a great swing and a stage where we listened to a musician play his music. The staff were exceptional and the oatmeal bar in the morning was also a cool twist on breakfast from the typical Hampton Inn types. For dinner my son and I didn't have to go far, as there was a food truck in the parking lot serving up delicious food. I hope more people give this place a try, I loved the concept and would love to see this expand to other cities.

This hotel is such fun! My three sons (college age and teenage) and I stayed here and we truly had the best time at this hotel. In fact, instead of doing things around College Station we got lunch to go and ate by the beautiful pool and played all the fun games around the pool and property. We played ping pong, table shuffleboard, foosball, cornhole and even got on the adult sized seesaw. And we still didn't do everything! There is also an arcade, large swing, pickleball court and other little surprises around every corner. It was too chilly to swim but the pool area looked so nice and inviting and had upbeat music playing on the speakers. There were also several seating areas around the property to relax which we did in the evening. The room was decorated so uniquely; a welcome change of pace from every other bland hotel room out there. As a bonus the room had an enormous size TV (75 inches!) facing right at the bed with crystal clear picture quality. (I so much wanted to watch a movie on it but we couldn't fit that in.) I really love how this place wasn't just somewhere to sleep but where we laughed and made lots of memories. We've traveled a good deal and it's not an exaggeration to say this is our favorite hotel we've ever stayed at. If they continue to keep the rooms, property, pool and games looking as nice as it does now, we most certainly will stay here every single time we are in town to visit our son at A&M. Thank you Hotel McCoy for a terrific time!

Wonderfully redone, fun atmosphere and vibe! Multiple things to do for kids and adults alike. Breakfast was minimal. There is no onsite gym as advertised. Bed was very firm. Stale odor in room. There were so many spiders, insects, and the final straw was the cockroach. We checked out of our room after being there for only a few hours because I was tired of killing spiders and my children couldn't sleep because they were too scared of the spiders. We were promised a full refund, but still haven't received it yet.

The hotel was very cute, with lots of activities, but we had some negative issues. There were droplets of blood on the sheets in one of the beds. They were very apologetic and promptly moved us to another room. The odor in both rooms was nauseating (a bleach and animal urine smell). Property has a great deal of potential. It was however not very well ran. All the staff is mostly very friendly and outgoing, however there doesn't seem to be a lot of management or experience. We asked repeatedly for housekeeping, and were only able to get it once during our week long stay. House keeping consisted of switching out towels and emptying trash. No beds made or linens switched. The pool was super dirty. It was so cloudy day 1 that you couldn't see the bottom. Day 3 the pool company shocked the pool and cleaned the filters and all the stuff sunk to the bottom, but then it was never vacuumed out and the filters could definitely not process it all. Since the pool was one of the main reasons we booked the property we were bummed to lose this amenity. Breakfast was super cute and we thought they did a good job with the offerings. Again though you had to ask staff for everything. I always had to ask for coffee to be made, and if I could get oatmeal, spoons, plates, etc. While friendly staff was not very motivated. We thought the property was cool. Our room was laid out well and for the price totally met our expectations, as did the amenities in the courtyard, had we been able to use them. Live music was cool. It was a lack of upkeep and services provided that missed the mark for us. Friends staying in another room had a lot of problems with spiders that were not taken care of. They were given a bottle of "off" to use, so their experience was definitely not good.

Unfortunately our room was not clean at all, there was dead bugs on the floor, and dirty floors in general. You could see areas that had sustained water damage that had not been taken care of. We had issues with accessing our room. The staff was nice but not necessarily helpful, I walked to the office multiple times before I was able to get assistance. This place is an old motel that has a new coat of paint with a few new attractions.

Hotel McCoy was a unique and clean property. In my opinion it is nicer and more affordable than staying at your typical hotel. I plan on staying here again and have already recommended it to anyone who visits college station:)

We loved our stay! The hotel is cute, lots of fun things to do, and yummy oatmeal for breakfast! The only drawbacks were that our code didn't work on the fron door, so we were given an actual key. Also, the beds are rather hard.

The hotel was really nice, comfortable but even though the room had a beautiful 82" TV, the RUKO TV didn't worked without an account which was silly as compared to just offering regular cable and/or Direct TV. Thank you.

The hotel was as described and very clean. The only issue was the bed was the hardest and most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever had at a hotel. That’s the only drawback but a major one for us.

Love this hotel, the atmosphere is amazing. Only problem is the AC fan is set to turn off periodically even though i has it set to ON. The room would get SUPER hot in the middle of the night and then cool off when the fan kicked back on. Made sleeping difficult

great little hotel with very modern/retro style rooms. little to complain about besides the very cool temperature of the lighting in the rooms that made the room feel cold however well designed in warm tones it is. i just generally left the main lights off and went with the adjustable vertical bar light in the corner. seriously, all hotels shoudl just stay away from this style of light bulbs - they make everything look less appealing.

The staff is very friendly, and the room is cute. The A/C runs either hot or cold. The TV is odd as well, no regular channels. My favorite part is the White Chicks picture in the bathroom! LOL!

I immediately loved the vibe of this place. The bright colors, the kitschy artwork, the ultra cool lobby with a bar! I was in love. The hotel is very close to the major highway and there is a lot of road noise that you hear inside the room. I could deal with that because it’s pretty constant. The main issue was we were in a ground floor room, and the noise from the room above us was totally annoying. You could hear the footsteps of the people moving around, and then there was a higher-pitched harder noise coming from above, which I think was coming from a dog playing with a toy on the floor. Thankfully, the people upstairs went to bed before we did, otherwise I would’ve had to call the front desk or go upstairs myself and ask them to stop making all the noise. Unfortunately, the noise started up again in the morning and lasted until we checked out. Yes, the beds are firm which I didn’t mind, but my son thought were too hard (although he slept just fine). The linens and room finishing were cool, fun, and I loved the artwork. I was considering staying at the hotel when we come back to College Station in April, but then with all the noise upstairs, I decided not to. Maybe my experience would’ve been different if I had been in an upstairs room. But since I couldn’t guarantee having an upstairs room, we decided to book elsewhere. Families with kids, people in town for football games, I can see this place being perfect for them.
I immediately loved the vibe of this place. The bright colors, the kitschy artwork, the ultra cool lobby with a bar! I was in love. The hotel is very close to the major highway and there is a lot of road noise that you hear inside the room. I could deal with that because it’s pretty constant. The main issue was we were in a ground floor room, and the noise from the room above us was totally annoying. You could hear the footsteps of the people moving around, and then there was a higher-pitched harder noise coming from above, which I think was coming from a dog playing with a toy on the floor. Thankfully, the people upstairs went to bed before we did, otherwise I would’ve had to call the front desk or go upstairs myself and ask them to stop making all the noise. Unfortunately, the noise started up again in the morning and lasted until we checked out. Yes, the beds are firm which I didn’t mind, but my son thought were too hard (although he slept just fine). The linens and room finishing were cool, fun, and I loved the artwork. I was considering staying at the hotel when we come back to College Station in April, but then with all the noise upstairs, I decided not to. Maybe my experience would’ve been different if I had been in an upstairs room. But since I couldn’t guarantee having an upstairs room, we decided to book elsewhere. Families with kids, people in town for football games, I can see this place being perfect for them.

We LOVED Hotel McCoy! So much personality! So much positive, whimsical, kitschy, and creative detail in every aspect of this renovated motel. The staff were great. Front desk staff were particularly welcoming, helpful and kind. We’ll definitely be back!

Perfect for young kids, they were fully entertained! The only down is they are very under staffed but those that were working were excellent and running around like crazy trying to get to all the needs. Will go back if in CS again!

Cute rooms, lobby and courtyard area, but probably won't stay here again. The internet barely works, so do not stay here if you are planning on getting some work done. This was my main issue, because I was actually on a work trip. I could not cast my phone to the TV for some reason, and when trying to download an app on the Roku TV, it would not let me without a pin#, which I was not given. The "after hours" service number never responded to me when I tried to get help with it either.... There were a lot of bugs hanging around by my front door, which was annoying because one of them got in my room. This is more of a Texas problem though and the fact that the rooms are "motel-style" so you enter your room from the parking lot. Overall, the staff was nice, and the room was clean with a nice vibe, but the experience was mediocre at best.

Property was very unique and has a lot of potential. Could have been a little cleaner in our room. Toilet paper roll was empty when we arrived and guide book was all crumpled up and stained. We didn't get to take advantage of outdoor amenities because of weather, but they looked great. Staff handling breakfast in lobby were not attentive. Very preoccupied with playing on their phones and watched several guests have to ask them how to get their breakfast.

Check in was good - hotel was eclectic and not run of the mill. The door code I was given simply did not work (I was noth the only person that tried it) and the desk clerk brought me keys to the door. However, around 9:30pm, another guest was trying the door code, it worked. And they were able to open the door while I was in bed. Thank goodness I the secondary lock so the door only opened a couple inches. Called the front desk, all she could say was my reservation 'disappeared' and the system assinged the people that just checked in the next available room and said that was mine. But she now has it blocked so that won't happen again. She asked my name a few times, kept saying my reservation just disappeared, apologized, asked if I wanted a new room and said she was calling IT and would call me back in a few minutes. I never heard back. HIGHLY recommend that this location install deadbolts for their guests security. Thank goodness I had brought my travel door stops, put those on the two doors and then tried to sleep (it was not a restful night). Also, the memory foam mattresses are not very comfortable.

We needed a room for one night on our way to a wedding in Houston. Hotel McCoy was perfect! Easy in/out, safe, clean & just what we needed. Grounds looked great, if we had more time we would've enjoyed spending it there!

It was such a fun property. The thoughtfulness in the decor was fantastic. We loved the huge television. We had some problems with the heat not working, but they sent a worker to fix it. We were not able to enjoy most of the amenities because it was too cold outside. Location is convenient, but right along a busy road, not really walkable to much. We would definitely book again.

The entertainment options are nice: good pool without outside games, yard games, video arcade, and HUGE TV in the room. Having wood floors was a nice feature for cleanliness. The oatmeal bar and great coffee in the morning are very convenient and suitable. It is not downtown or close to the university campus, but about 4 miles away. It is convenient to the freeway.

I just absolutely loved staying at this hotel! The aesthetic was fabulous & the rooms were decorated so nicely. The common area was so much fun (human-sized chess, giant Connect 4, badminton) & the pool was perfect! The area was quiet & there were a handful of restaurants within 10 minutes from the hotel. Breakfast was mostly just an oatmeal bar (with bagels, yogurt, & cereal), but I enjoyed it. Everyone I spoke to who works there were also incredibly polite & helpful. I would absolutely stay here again & again!

Great place for families. A lot of fun activities. Only downside is breakfast is oatmeal or bagels. There is a Mexican food restaurant next door that serves breakfast that has good food for decent prices but dont count on much for free breakfast. Otherwise a great stay.

Comfortable and the best oatmeal Bar I’ve ever had. Don’t even know it was a thing! More than fair pricing, clean, spacious room. Of course I never saw what type of hotel this was before but the remodel is fantastic.

I trusted the reviews and was rewarded for doing so. The hotel is completely renovated, and the lobby/bar area is a really cool space. The free drink token was a nice perk as well. The open space was well utilized with a great pool, pickle ball courts, corn hole, a great swing and a stage where we listened to a musician play his music. The staff were exceptional and the oatmeal bar in the morning was also a cool twist on breakfast from the typical Hampton Inn types. For dinner my son and I didn't have to go far, as there was a food truck in the parking lot serving up delicious food. I hope more people give this place a try, I loved the concept and would love to see this expand to other cities.

Exterior door code did not, but I was quickly given a key. Breakfast was frustrating. World’s longest oatmeal bar did not have brown sugar?!?! Layout was awkward. Improve the oatmeal bar with more choices besides oatmeal is the only thing i could say to improved. Call it an oatmeal bar not continental breakfast. Everything else was great. So many things to do on this property! Being dog friendly made it a BONUS! The rims were clean and check in and out were super easy. I would stay here again!

We have stayed here multiple times. We love the fun retro vibe. My husband loves that he can park right outside the door. I tend to pack a lot so going from car to elevator is a challenge. There are so many fun things to do on the property. Family loves it! Also, their prices aren’t out of this world expensive, even on game weekends. Please don’t change that!!
