Lovely place and location, only niggle the window in the room would not shut fully, you could get your hand in between the frame and window, we are in the middle of a heatwave, room was tòo cold.

Stayed one night prior to visiting Alnwick gardens, chosen primarily for location. Staff very friendly and helpful,we did not have any meals there as we walked into Alnwick. Pleased to have a kettle and coffee available in the room for the morning. As others commented the bathroom plumbing was very noisy, with drainage smells apparent.

The staff were lovely and helpful but we had booked there as there was food available. However when we got there we were told food only on Sundays.

Reception was fine, staff friendly and polite but this property is not good value for money. While clean enough the accommodation is very tired and is right alongside a busy road and the window wouldn't close. The bathroom is very cramped and would not suit the larger person. At the price breakfast really should be included. We've stayed at far nicer accommodation for nearly half the price and with breakfast included. Previous occupants of our room had used the kettle as a teapot and, while not the act itself is not hosts fault, we found stale tea and teabags in the kettle when we came to use it. Also, be aware that if you would like to walk into the town centre or the castle, it's a long uphill climb back to the property. This didn't worry us but wouldn't suit others. The property was a poor choice on my behalf.

Comfortable overnight stay in a pub. No evening meal available on night we stayed which was a little disappointing but host offered to help order take away for us. Good location. Very small bathroom but shower nice and hot. Some lose fixings need addressing but not an issue. I would stay again
