Still, had to write because I don’t want to spoil my holiday. The place itself is amazing staff are attentive, the pool is bliss. And we are only 5 mins from Sa Pa town. What I don’t like is being forced to decide if I having breakfast every day at £9 per day having just come from a 10 hr journey by car from Ha Long Bay. Then the next day being forced to decide, before I’d been into town what activities I’d like to book. I say forced, because the manager presented it as their option is the only bonafide option. After saying yes yes all looks great but I’ll check out town too, we left it. Having met some folks in town I booked a day trek at £20 not the $85 clay house were charging. Short story, I came and told them and boy did that cause a recuse. No no you can’t cancel we already booked, and okay you have good luck with police on private trek. I’d booked the trek through getyourguide and showed them the booking. Anyway, the pool is bliss, has calmed me down. Would stay here again, just be very firm with them from the get go

Sapa Clay House is a must stay! We read the reviews before booking and were NOT disappointed! We stayed Nov. 21-25, 2022 and the weather was superb. Mind you, there were a few days where the clouds rolled in and you couldn't see much...but it made things interesting! SenMa suggested several things to see/do while we were here. The hiking in the tea fields and around the local areas were breathtaking and wonderful. The grounds are meticulously kept and the flowers and foliage are well cared for. Getting to and from Sapa was...an adventure. The winding roads and scary encounters on the road were enough to make your head spin! But, once you arrive, it's peace and tranquility for sure. We really didn't eat off site much except for one night's dinner in the main town. The food at Sapa Clay House was to die for. The breakfasts were delicious and always beautifully presented. We never left hungry! One of us took a cooking course on site and it was so much fun and very enjoyable. We did try one of the baths offered during our stay and it was lovely and worth the extra fee. The room we stayed in was gorgeous, spacious and the bed was cozy and comfortable. The view was amazing! The pool is gorgeous with stunning view, but it was chilly. Finally...the staff. We can't speak more highly of these amazing people. They are gracious, kind, incredibly helpful and superb hosts. From the moment we arrived to the moment we sadly had to leave, we loved staying here!!

Un hébergement parfait et une famille accueillante et de bons conseils. Nous avons passé 5 jours avec un enfant de 2.5 ans. Le site est magnifique et tranquille, mais à seulement quelques minutes de taxi/Grab de la ville ou du village de Lao Chai pour marché avec un guide. Le déjeuner inclu à la carte était très bon, et le service de restaurant du soir est parfait également. Nous y avons soupé tous les soirs et sans hesitation. Tout est fait avec soins. Ils nous ont conseillé sur les activités. Ils ont également le Tonkin spa en ville que nous avons apprécié, ainsi que le café-terrasse adjacent au spa avec la magnifique vue sur la vallée. Bref, je ne peux que recommander le Sapa Clay House.

I first stayed at Sapa Clayhouse in June 2023 with my son and his girlfriend for 5 unforgettable days. I was completely enchanted by the beauty, peace, and warmth of this place. This time, we returned for a total of 7 nights with family & close friends and somehow, it was even more magical. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfection. Our room had glorious mountain views that greeted us every morning like a dream. Breakfast was generous and delicious, and we ended up eating every single meal at the hotel restaurant, every dish was cooked to perfection and served with such care. The staff were exceptional in every way: warm, attentive, and always making us feel like family. Their kindness is something I’ll never forget. This time, we also got to experience their brand-new Tonkin Spa, a stunning space that blends beautifully into the mountain setting. I booked a massage, and miraculously, my upper back pain (which had been bothering me for months) was completely healed. It was like therapy for the body and soul. Both times I’ve stayed at Sapa Clayhouse, I’ve left feeling deeply restored, inspired, and full of gratitude. It truly is Heaven on Earth, and I already know I’ll be back again. My heart belongs here🌿💚⛰️

The most wonderful experience staying at Sapa Clay House..is truly is a mountain retreat. After a busy few days we enjoyed the kindness of everyone in this family run retreat. They were so attentive and helpful and spoke English very well. The views from our room were incredible and everything from the bed linen to bathroom amenities are luxurious. Then there is the food made with love from their garden and local goods. The pool was wonderful to cool off after an enjoyable walk to the local village. I’m so glad we stayed just outside of Sapa town. You must stay here for such an amazing stay

This hotel offers an outstanding experience. Hai and his brother make all the effort to ensure you have a great time at SaPa. The food is delicious, the room was very clean and well designed. The hotel has very nice details all around, gardens, pool, terrace and spa. Totally recommended

What a magnificent hotel! Our stay here has been the highlight of our trip to Vietnam…the beautiful location, the lovely room with a spectacular view of the mountains, the attentive and gracious hosts and staff, the massages, and the food! It has it all. Can’t recommend Sapa Clay House enough…this place is heaven.

The most unbelievable retreat in SaPa Vietnam!!! Breathtaking views, incredible service and a luxury retreat! What a fantastic stay! The team went above and beyond providing us with amazing customer service. Hai was a fantastic host and master planner. Other staff members who were fantastic are Vuong, Huan, Quang, Nguyen, Vous, Moi and Tam who were all welcoming and gave us a great experience. The team and Hai ensured our rooms were ready and well prepared and we had a great experience including tours (rice terraces, waterfalls, fansipan) taxi guides and an amazing day plan.The hotel is modern, clean and well designed. Rooms are large, comfy and have everything you need including water, snacks and aircon. The best part of the hotels was the view, including infinity pool which looked far and wide over the Sa Pa rice fields with breathtaking scenery. Thank you to SuSu for a fantastic 5 hour tour around the rice fields and villages. Finally because this place is an ecolodge all the food is prepared from the garden and was absolutely delicious...breakfast was out of this world particularly the french toast and noodle soup ...id highly recommend! Overall, I'd highly recommend a stay here and hope to be back again soon. Thank Hai and team NB Bills can be paid in US dollars or Vietnamese Dong which made the experience super simple.

This is a truly gorgeous hotel. My room ("Bamboo Hut" is stunning - feels more like a villa than a hut, real luxury, with gorgeous local art. The whole roof is a stunning, hand made tapestry in gorgeous red and golds. There are big windows and a double door that opens - giving you a huge view of the valley. Bathroom has a little flower-bedecked outside space next to it. Really a joy and even better than the photos. The hotel also has gorgeous communal spaces - the infinity pool is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. There are also roof terraces where I saw the most heart-stopping views across the valley at dawn. The hotel is run by a beautiful extended family, and the spirit of love and peace permeate the restaurant and reception areas, while you are left in total peace in your room or on the terraces. The only thing I was disappointed by in this hotel, is that it is right next to a road that's quite noisy with motorbikes. I don't think this will matter for most rooms, but the bamboo huts, which are closest were a little noisy during the day. Everything quietens down though for night time, and the staff mentioned they were working on a bit more sound insultation for these rooms. Otherwise, a truly stunning hotel - you'll be in heaven!

5월초 사파 5박6일 여행 중 3박 4일을 보냄. 전체적인 평가는 별 하나. 1. 위치: 사파타운에서 4KM, 택시를 타면 베트남 동 100K가 적정요금이나 거의 모두 그 이상을 요구하며 마지막 날 사파타운 버스 정류장에 픽업서비스도 이 호텔에서 150K를 요구함. 2.직원들 태도: 투숙한 손님에게 좋은 서비스를 제공하고 이에 상응하는 댓가를 요구하는 것은 당연하지만, 여기 직원들은 시내로 부터 멀리 떨어진 숙소에 왔으니 독안에 든 쥐를 대하듯이 과도한 요금을(트레킹, 차량 제공 등)제시하며 이를 거부하면 얼굴표정이 달라짐. 비즈니스를 하는 마인드가 이익만을 창출하고자 하는 행동임. 특히 여자 매니저인지 사장인지는 손님을 편하게 해주는 태도를 전혀 갖고 있지 않음. 나중에 안 사실이지만 한국 TV프로그램 '신서유기'에 방영되어서 그런지 손님 중에 한국인들이 많은 편임. 객관적으로 이런 기회를 이용해 좀더 친근하고 편안한 자세로 손님을 맞이하면 사업도 잘 될터인데....그점이 아쉬웠음. 3. 시설: 프라이빗 뱀부헛에서 묵었는데 벌레(개미, 나방, 모기 등등)가 있었고, 추웠으며, 방에 냉장고가 없음. 여긴 모든 객실에 냉장고가 없음. 4.보통 하루에 한번 방청소를 해주는 것이 일반사인데 여기는 우리가 식사를 하러 식당에 가면 하루에 3번 수시로 객실을 문을열고 직원이 드나듦. 그럼에도 불구하고 수건도 교환해 주지 않아 매일 직접 가서 받아옴. 너무 감시하는 듯한 느낌을 받음. 5. 처음 이 숙소에 도착해서 한글로 된 매뉴얼을 받았을 때 기분이 몹시 나빴음. 이유는 모두 부정적인 문구로 '~하면 벌금을 부과한다는 내용이 많았음. 편안한 맘으로 쉬려고 한 여행이었지만 마지막 사파클레이하우스에서의 경험은 우리를 기분나쁘게 만들었음. 결론: 산을 바라보는 배경의 숙소는 사파에서는 어디서든 볼 수 있으니 숙소를 결정할 때 참고하시길 바랍니다.

Ok sted. Flot udsigt. Dog bærer stedet præg af slitage. I vores værelse var der sprækker ved og i døren og det samme ved det ene vindue. I badeværelset er der et badekar som man skal op i for tage bad. Lidt simpel morgenmad. Det var også lidt specielt at vi var de eneste på stedet, da de lukker ned pga ferie i forbindelse med det kinesiske nytår. Ok sted. Flot udsigt. Dog bærer stedet præg af slitage. I vores værelse var der sprækker ved og i døren og det samme ved det ene vindue. I badeværelset er der et badekar som man skal op i for tage bad. Lidt simpel morgenmad. Det var også lidt specielt at vi var de eneste på stedet, da de lukker ned pga ferie i forbindelse med det kinesiske nytår. Hotel ist sehr klein, das ist durchaus positiv. Zimmer an sich ganz schön gemacht. Aussicht ist wunderschön, der Pool ist ebenfalls super toll gemacht. Zimmer selbst ist sehr old school eingerichtet, Bad mit Dusche und Badewanne, die jedoch undicht war, was man nach etwas Entspannung am Boden gesehen hat, wo das Wasser quer durch das Bad lief. Umgebung nicht optimal, sehr schmutzig um das Hotel herum und eigentlich nur mit einem Roller oder Grab zu erreichen. Frühstück a la Carte aber nicht wirklich lecker, kann ich überhaupt nicht empfehlen. Personal wirkten wie Kinder, teils ohne Englisch Kenntnisse. Abgesehen vom Manager. Für den Preis nicht zu empfehlen.

I loved the view and all the meals were excellent. It is a farm/market-to table ecolodge. I was staying in the bamboo hut and unfortunately there was a rat nest in the roof so it was very noisy at night: but that being said it was still worth the experience. I also had an herbal bath and a massage. The massage was good but I didn’t feel very safe because the lady kept coughing (and she wasn’t wearing a mask). I think they should review this and make sure that people coming to give services aren’t sick (specially because of Covid). The pool was also very cold (not heated), but I still enjoyed it a lot. The view was exceptional and the staff very friendly and professional. I would definitively go back and suggest to anyone that wants to have an eco experience to go there.

This hotel offers an outstanding experience. Hai and his brother make all the effort to ensure you have a great time at SaPa. The food is delicious, the room was very clean and well designed. The hotel has very nice details all around, gardens, pool, terrace and spa. Totally recommended

Loved every second of our stay at Sapa Clayhouse. Spent 3 nights and did not want to leave. Every staff member was super friendly and helpful and made us feel really welcome. Everyone had a huge smile on their face the whole time, really feels like you're staying with a special family. Everything is decorated beautifully, looks incredible and spotlessly clean. Food was delicious and the chefs put in a lot of effort making everything taste and look amazing and were great at accommodating any requests. Location perfect really short car trip into Sapa town but views of the mountains and local walks meant we stayed nearby mostly. Staff gave really good recommendations for trips highly recommend the spa it was Outstanding.

Room has clean linen and towels. Was kept spotless with 2 daily cleaning and replenishment of water. Lovely view of the mountain and rice terrace on clear days. Even in the rain the fog makes is magical - simply breathtaking ! Special thanks to the in-house chef for whipping up delicious meals. The freshness of vegetables brings our dinner to a new level.

It feels luxurious, humble and natural at the same time. The innate warmth and friendliness of the staff is what separates this from any other hotell experience i have had previously. They have been working together for 9 years and act like family. You feel it visceraly at once after arrival. After just the first night i found myself wanting to constantly stop by the lobby to check in with the boys. What new delicious drink is Quang concocting from the array of on house homemade fruit brandys and kombouchas? What is that delicious smell coming from the kitchen? I will truly miss them all and if you are considering coming to sapa, dont make the mistanke of booking somewhere else. Pro tip: I reccomend asking for Dau if looking for a guide for the village or Fansipan hike, she is truly an amazing person. This has felt like a very real and unique experience and i could not recommend it highly enough.

Sapa Clay House is a must stay! We read the reviews before booking and were NOT disappointed! We stayed Nov. 21-25, 2022 and the weather was superb. Mind you, there were a few days where the clouds rolled in and you couldn't see much...but it made things interesting! SenMa suggested several things to see/do while we were here. The hiking in the tea fields and around the local areas were breathtaking and wonderful. The grounds are meticulously kept and the flowers and foliage are well cared for. Getting to and from Sapa was...an adventure. The winding roads and scary encounters on the road were enough to make your head spin! But, once you arrive, it's peace and tranquility for sure. We really didn't eat off site much except for one night's dinner in the main town. The food at Sapa Clay House was to die for. The breakfasts were delicious and always beautifully presented. We never left hungry! One of us took a cooking course on site and it was so much fun and very enjoyable. We did try one of the baths offered during our stay and it was lovely and worth the extra fee. The room we stayed in was gorgeous, spacious and the bed was cozy and comfortable. The view was amazing! The pool is gorgeous with stunning view, but it was chilly. Finally...the staff. We can't speak more highly of these amazing people. They are gracious, kind, incredibly helpful and superb hosts. This is a lovely place to stay, just a little ways outside of Sapa town. It is quiet, quaint and the views are wonderful. We only had 2 nights but we got a good taste of Sapa - the town is only a 40 minute walk away and the road down the hill leads to some nice walking roads. We stayed in one of the ‘cement’ rooms (versus bamboo) which had amazing view of the valley (when the cloud shifted) and was warm/cozy for the chilly evening. The restaurant serves delicious organic homegrown food - worth staying there for dinner. The staff are outstanding - friendly and ready to please (Jim and Sen). Overall a worthwhile 3D/2N trip from Hanoi to see this place which I am sure the views are jaw-dropping on clear days.

They were so attentive and helpful and spoke English very well. The views from our room were incredible and everything from the bed linen to bathroom amenities are luxurious. Then there is the food made with love from their garden and local goods. The pool was wonderful to cool off after an enjoyable walk to the local village. My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Sapa Clay House - I only wish it had been longer! We slept in one of the bungalows overlooking the rice fields and the view was stunning, even on mornings when there was some fog. The bed was comfortable and the room was unique and charming. The resort is run by a family, which only adds to the charm. The manager was attentive, helpful, and friendly - he even waited up late for us when our bus was late! He gave us excellent recommendations for activities and food, called us taxis whenever we needed one (and we paid less this way), and was fun to chat to. The whole family was delightful, helpful, and fun to be around. And of course, they had the cutest dog! I also highly recommend the food at Sapa Clay House. The breakfast was so good that we came back on day for lunch! The ingredients are fresh and local, and we could taste the difference. This is a truly gorgeous hotel. My room ("Bamboo Hut" is stunning - feels more like a villa than a hut, real luxury, with gorgeous local art. The whole roof is a stunning, hand made tapestry in gorgeous red and golds. There are big windows and a double door that opens - giving you a huge view of the valley. Bathroom has a little flower-bedecked outside space next to it. Really a joy and even better than the photos. The hotel also has gorgeous communal spaces - the infinity pool is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. There are also roof terraces where I saw the most heart-stopping views across the valley at dawn. The hotel is run by a beautiful extended family, and the spirit of love and peace permeate the restaurant and reception areas, while you are left in total peace in your room or on the terraces. The only thing I was disappointed by in this hotel, is that it is right next to a road that's quite noisy with motorbikes. I don't think this will matter for most rooms, but the bamboo huts, which are closest were a little noisy during the day. Everything quietens down though for night time, and the staff mentioned they were working on a bit more sound insultation for these rooms. Otherwise, a truly stunning hotel - you'll be in heaven!

Still, had to write because I don’t want to spoil my holiday. The place itself is amazing staff are attentive, the pool is bliss. And we are only 5 mins from Sa Pa town. What I don’t like is being forced to decide if I having breakfast every day at £9 per day having just come from a 10 hr journey by car from Ha Long Bay. Then the next day being forced to decide, before I’d been into town what activities I’d like to book. I say forced, because the manager presented it as their option is the only bonafide option. After saying yes yes all looks great but I’ll check out town too, we left it. Having met some folks in town I booked a day trek at £20 not the $85 clay house were charging. Short story, I came and told them and boy did that cause a recuse. No no you can’t cancel we already booked, and okay you have good luck with police on private trek. I’d booked the trek through getyourguide and showed them the booking. Anyway, the pool is bliss, has calmed me down. Would stay here again, just be very firm with them from the get go

Absolute best! The views are unbelievable and being located between Sapa and a Hmong village made for nice walks to both places. We were there during Tet and there were few guests and only 2 staff who were the very best compared to any place I’ve been in the world. Can’t thank Vuong and Huan enough for their kindness, hospitality and fantastic cooking. Highly recommend this place and will tell my friends and family about it.

My dream come true stay! The staff is so personable and welcoming and the property is so gorgeous and calming. It’s only a short grab ride from the restaurant area, but the food on the property is extremely fresh and ALARMINGLY delicious. They used all the veggies and herbs from their garden and anything outsourced is organic. They own the Tonkin Spa, which was the cherry on top to our stay in Sapa. I will definitely come back. It’s worth every penny

The most unbelievable retreat in SaPa Vietnam!!! Breathtaking views, incredible service and a luxury retreat! What a fantastic stay! The team went above and beyond providing us with amazing customer service. Hai was a fantastic host and master planner. Other staff members who were fantastic are Vuong, Huan, Quang, Nguyen, Vous, Moi and Tam who were all welcoming and gave us a great experience. The team and Hai ensured our rooms were ready and well prepared and we had a great experience including tours (rice terraces, waterfalls, fansipan) taxi guides and an amazing day plan.The hotel is modern, clean and well designed. Rooms are large, comfy and have everything you need including water, snacks and aircon. The best part of the hotels was the view, including infinity pool which looked far and wide over the Sa Pa rice fields with breathtaking scenery. Thank you to SuSu for a fantastic 5 hour tour around the rice fields and villages. Finally because this place is an ecolodge all the food is prepared from the garden and was absolutely delicious...breakfast was out of this world particularly the french toast and noodle soup ...id highly recommend! Overall, I'd highly recommend a stay here and hope to be back again soon. Thank Hai and team NB Bills can be paid in US dollars or Vietnamese Dong which made the experience super simple.

Loved every second of our stay at Sapa Clayhouse. Spent 3 nights and did not want to leave. Every staff member was super friendly and helpful and made us feel really welcome. Everyone had a huge smile on their face the whole time, really feels like you're staying with a special family. Everything is decorated beautifully, looks incredible and spotlessly clean. Food was delicious and the chefs put in a lot of effort making everything taste and look amazing and were great at accommodating any requests. Location perfect really short car trip into Sapa town but views of the mountains and local walks meant we stayed nearby mostly. Staff gave really good recommendations for trips highly recommend the spa it was Outstanding.

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Sapa Clay House - I only wish it had been longer! We slept in one of the bungalows overlooking the rice fields and the view was stunning, even on mornings when there was some fog. The bed was comfortable and the room was unique and charming. The resort is run by a family, which only adds to the charm. The manager was attentive, helpful, and friendly - he even waited up late for us when our bus was late! He gave us excellent recommendations for activities and food, called us taxis whenever we needed one (and we paid less this way), and was fun to chat to. The whole family was delightful, helpful, and fun to be around. And of course, they had the cutest dog! I also highly recommend the food at Sapa Clay House. The breakfast was so good that we came back on day for lunch! The ingredients are fresh and local, and we could taste the difference. Sapa was the highlight of our time in Vietnam and I recommend anyone who visits to spend time at Sapa Clay House!

We had a lovely stay at Sapa Clay House. The staff is very attentive and they put a lot of love and care into the property. They helped arrange a couple of tours for us during our stay which were excellent. One of the tours was a trek at a tea farm a couple hours outside of Sapa and it was so beautiful. The property exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Sapa. The meals served here were also incredible and healthy. You can tell they truly care about their guests and ensuring they have a wonderful stay. Thank you for hosting us!

I can't say enough good things about our stay here. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and professional. I was quite ill while I was there and they went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed to feel better. I highly recommend Sapa Clay House and hope to return one day!

Still, had to write because I don’t want to spoil my holiday. The place itself is amazing staff are attentive, the pool is bliss. And we are only 5 mins from Sa Pa town. What I don’t like is being forced to decide if I having breakfast every day at £9 per day having just come from a 10 hr journey by car from Ha Long Bay. Then the next day being forced to decide, before I’d been into town what activities I’d like to book. I say forced, because the manager presented it as their option is the only bonafide option. After saying yes yes all looks great but I’ll check out town too, we left it. Having met some folks in town I booked a day trek at £20 not the $85 clay house were charging. Short story, I came and told them and boy did that cause a recuse. No no you can’t cancel we already booked, and okay you have good luck with police on private trek. I’d booked the trek through getyourguide and showed them the booking. Anyway, the pool is bliss, has calmed me down. Would stay here again, just be very firm with them from the get go

Le site est magnifique et tranquille, mais à seulement quelques minutes de taxi/Grab de la ville ou du village de Lao Chai pour marché avec un guide. Absolute best! The views are unbelievable and being located between Sapa and a Hmong village made for nice walks to both places. We were there during Tet and there were few guests and only 2 staff who were the very best compared to any place I’ve been in the world. Can’t thank Vuong and Huan enough for their kindness, hospitality and fantastic cooking. Highly recommend this place and will tell my friends and family about it.

Ok sted. Flot udsigt. Dog bærer stedet præg af slitage. I vores værelse var der sprækker ved og i døren og det samme ved det ene vindue. I badeværelset er der et badekar som man skal op i for tage bad. Lidt simpel morgenmad. Det var også lidt specielt at vi var de eneste på stedet, da de lukker ned pga ferie i forbindelse med det kinesiske nytår. Stedet ligger lidt udenfor byen, men det er billigt at tage en Grab frem og tilbage. Vi købte via hotellet en guidet tur. Super sød lokal guide. Hun talte rigtig godt engelsk. Stedet er ok til en eller 2 overnatninger.

This is a lovely place to stay, just a little ways outside of Sapa town. It is quiet, quaint and the views are wonderful. We only had 2 nights but we got a good taste of Sapa - the town is only a 40 minute walk away and the road down the hill leads to some nice walking roads. We stayed in one of the ‘cement’ rooms (versus bamboo) which had amazing view of the valley (when the cloud shifted) and was warm/cozy for the chilly evening. The restaurant serves delicious organic homegrown food - worth staying there for dinner. The staff are outstanding - friendly and ready to please (Jim and Sen). Overall a worthwhile 3D/2N trip from Hanoi to see this place which I am sure the views are jaw-dropping on clear days.

They were so attentive and helpful and spoke English very well. The views from our room were incredible and everything from the bed linen to bathroom amenities are luxurious. Then there is the food made with love from their garden and local goods. The pool was wonderful to cool off after an enjoyable walk to the local village. I’m so glad we stayed just outside of Sapa town. You must stay here for such an amazing stay

Hotel ist sehr klein, das ist durchaus positiv. Zimmer an sich ganz schön gemacht. Aussicht ist wunderschön, der Pool ist ebenfalls super toll gemacht. Zimmer selbst ist sehr old school eingerichtet, Bad mit Dusche und Badewanne, die jedoch undicht war, was man nach etwas Entspannung am Boden gesehen hat, wo das Wasser quer durch das Bad lief. Umgebung nicht optimal, sehr schmutzig um das Hotel herum und eigentlich nur mit einem Roller oder Grab zu erreichen. Frühstück a la Carte aber nicht wirklich lecker, kann ich überhaupt nicht empfehlen. Personal wirkten wie Kinder, teils ohne Englisch Kenntnisse. Abgesehen vom Manager. Für den Preis nicht zu empfehlen.

The whole family was delightful, helpful, and fun to be around. And of course, they had the cutest dog! I also highly recommend the food at Sapa Clay House. The breakfast was so good that we came back on day for lunch! The ingredients are fresh and local, and we could taste the difference. Sapa was the highlight of our time in Vietnam and I recommend anyone who visits to spend time at Sapa Clay House!

Sapa Clay House is a must stay! We read the reviews before booking and were NOT disappointed! We stayed Nov. 21-25, 2022 and the weather was superb. Mind you, there were a few days where the clouds rolled in and you couldn't see much...but it made things interesting! SenMa suggested several things to see/do while we were here. The hiking in the tea fields and around the local areas were breathtaking and wonderful. The grounds are meticulously kept and the flowers and foliage are well cared for. Getting to and from Sapa was...an adventure. The winding roads and scary encounters on the road were enough to make your head spin! But, once you arrive, it's peace and tranquility for sure. We really didn't eat off site much except for one night's dinner in the main town. The food at Sapa Clay House was to die for. The breakfasts were delicious and always beautifully presented. We never left hungry! One of us took a cooking course on site and it was so much fun and very enjoyable. We did try one of the baths offered during our stay and it was lovely and worth the extra fee. The room we stayed in was gorgeous, spacious and the bed was cozy and comfortable. The view was amazing! The pool is gorgeous with stunning view, but it was chilly. Finally...the staff. We can't speak more highly of these amazing people. They are gracious, kind, incredibly helpful and superb hosts. Ok sted. Flot udsigt. Dog bærer stedet præg af slitage. I vores værelse var der sprækker ved og i døren og det samme ved det ene vindue. I badeværelset er der et badekar som man skal op i for tage bad. Lidt simpel morgenmad. Det var også lidt specielt at vi var de eneste på stedet, da de lukker ned pga ferie i forbindelse med det kinesiske nytår. Stedet ligger lidt udenfor byen, men det er billigt at tage en Grab frem og tilbage. Vi købte via hotellet en guidet tur. Super sød lokal guide. Hun talte rigtig godt engelsk. Stedet er ok til en eller 2 overnatninger.

Hotel ist sehr klein, das ist durchaus positiv. Zimmer an sich ganz schön gemacht. Aussicht ist wunderschön, der Pool ist ebenfalls super toll gemacht. Zimmer selbst ist sehr old school eingerichtet, Bad mit Dusche und Badewanne, die jedoch undicht war, was man nach etwas Entspannung am Boden gesehen hat, wo das Wasser quer durch das Bad lief. Loved every second of our stay at Sapa Clayhouse. Spent 3 nights and did not want to leave. Every staff member was super friendly and helpful and made us feel really welcome. Everyone had a huge smile on their face the whole time, really feels like you're staying with a special family. Everything is decorated beautifully, looks incredible and spotlessly clean. Food was delicious and the chefs put in a lot of effort making everything taste and look amazing and were great at accommodating any requests. Location perfect really short car trip into Sapa town but views of the mountains and local walks meant we stayed nearby mostly. Staff gave really good recommendations for trips highly recommend the spa it was Outstanding.

We stayed in the bamboo hut and it was really unique experience. Bed was comfortable and they even have a wooden bath tub. We had an amazing view when we open our doors. Big thanks to Hai for the 10/10 hospitality and helpful suggestions of activities for us. We enjoyed the market tour & the cooking class, which was our lunch on that day. We extended 1 more night because we love the place so much especially the infinity pool. We had three meals there and the ingredients were mostly home grown and very fresh and tasty. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place in the mountains!

Mycket trevligt boende utanför stan med vackra vyer. Taxi enkel väg in till stan kostar 50-75kr. + Personalen är mycket trevliga och serviceminded. Frukosten är 10/10. Väljer från en meny olika rätter och dryck. -middagen lämnar mer att önska. Lite mat för prislappen och ser mer vackert ut än vad smakar gott. Speciellt jämfört med frukosten. Inget dåligt, men inte heller vad vi förväntade oss. Boka genom hotell trekking söderut med guide genom risfälten och byarna. Värt det, kostar 35-45$/pp inkl lunch. Däremot kan man lätt ta taxi själv till de båda vattenfallen och vandra själv därifrån. Överlag nöjda och utsikten är magisk.

We had a lovely stay at Sapa Clay House. The staff is very attentive and they put a lot of love and care into the property. They helped arrange a couple of tours for us during our stay which were excellent. One of the tours was a trek at a tea farm a couple hours outside of Sapa and it was so beautiful. The property exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Sapa. The meals served here were also incredible and healthy. You can tell they truly care about their guests and ensuring they have a wonderful stay. Thank you for hosting us!

Pros: Beautiful view. The grounds are lovingly maintained and lush. The staff are hardworking, attentive, and friendly. The main highlight of this venue is the food, which is truly world class. Amazing breakfast with incredible french toast. If you value fresh and local ingredients, the quality here is hard to top. We would have loved to do the cooking class but did not get the time to. Dinners were great too, albeit not included and relatively expensive for Vietnam. Great location - 10 minute drive to Sapatown but far enough away to be mostly quiet. The pool with the view is nice but cool as not heated. The 3 small dogs that roam the premises are friendly/entertaining if you are a dog person. Soft bedding and clean + well sized room. Air conditioning in the room worked well. Cons: No safe in room, however you can leave valuables at front desk. No mini fridge in room. There is an itemized list posted in the room of the cost of any item if you break or damage it. While I appreciate the intent of clear communication, it came across a bit hostile and made us hypervigilant to leave no trace. The room soundproofing wasn't great - if a loud car came by, you heard it, albeit infrequent - same goes for the birds chirping at sunrise. Most daytime activities were not included and costed significantly more compared to organizing independently - we opted to organize our own trekking. At 170 CAD a night for the seasonal house + breakfast included, we felt it was moderately overpriced.

Sapa Clay House was a first class experience. We have traveled around the world and Clay House will be remembered as one of our top tier experiences. Every detail, from the extreme hospitality, to the bedding, to the food was simply incredible. Hospitality: We were at clay house for about 24 hours but felt like family within the first hour. I am genuinely sad to leave the good people who make clay house a home. we had lovely conversations throughout our days and felt like we were in truly the best hands for all of our bookings around Sapa. we especially loved learning that the staff take a few days off to go on vacation together every year - they had just returned from Thailand - it makes sense given how truly close and happy everyone is. Food: holy cow. We love good food and elevated experiences. We have eaten at Michelin star restaurants around the world. Every dish at Sapa Clay House is on par with the best restaurants we’ve been to. We were continuously in awe of the beauty, freshness, taste, and presentation of our lunch, dinner, and breakfast. Chef Huan could have a job at any restaurant in the world. We are so lucky that he is the chef at Clay house. I wish we could have stayed and eaten there for a week. Our wine was also fantastic. Cooking class: best one we’ve ever had (compared to Tuscany, Sicily, Japan, Spain, Denver, etc).
