Great location, very clean hotel and room, and reasonably priced. Also appreciated the amenities during our stay (i.e. sunscreen by pool, beach towels, cold still/sparkling water dispenser, lei making, etc.). Live music at the Hideout also made the hotel very lively. Would highly recommend!

Our 5th stay at Laylow always a pleasure. Love the long pool hours 6am-9pm, the Coffee bar opening at 6am and providing decent cappuccinos also a plus. Water fill station with still and sparking as well as ice. The ice-bag situation could use some help as most of the time you don’t need a full bag to fill the ice bucket in the room but a dozen cubes to throw in your water bottle. Will definitely be back.

Incredible location, easily able to walk to all the main areas on Waikiki in only a few minutes, and easy bus access for the rest of Honolulu. Great pool and restaurant, and free daily activities for those wanting to participate.

The hotel is very nicely decorated. Everything was in impeccable condition. Good location near Waikiki beach, all the shops and restaurants. The valet parking was also good. Nice pool. The restaurant Hideout was also very nice.

The hotel does not mention that the pool gets limited sun due to the parking garage and the hotel on each side of it. So there is a certain time of day the pool is sunny, and it is not heated. So do not book property for the pool.

Very convenient location, great bar/restaurant with the hideout, nice to be able to get coffee at 6am. Pool is great and being open till 9pm is awesome also. Parking/valet is pricey at $60 per day, so keep that in mind if you have a rental car as public parking is very scarce in Waikiki.

The location is amazing, and the breakfast was definitely a highlight—really delicious. I also loved the hotel’s decoration, very stylish and well thought out. That said, a few things didn’t meet expectations: I never received the welcome box I was told about, my room faced a parking lot, and the cleaning staff took my body wash during the stay. The pool also looked better in photos than in real life. Overall, not a bad stay, but for the price, I expected a bit more

They had nice daily activities, including lei-making! Hotel guests can also take out cruiser bikes for free, we enjoyed biking along the beach.

Our stay at the Laylow was great, the hotel is modern, well kept and within walking distance to dining/shopping and the beach. The Hideout restaurant/bar at the hotel was also great, the food and drinks were delicious. There was also live music every night. Would stay here everytime we return to Honolulu.

Fantastic hotel located right in the heart of Waikiki. Very accessible to restaurants, shops, and the beach is a mere 5 min walk away. Hotel is comfortable and clean with a wonderful staff. Would absolutely stay here again! Only complaint I have are the mattresses. They are surprisingly lumpy and made my back sore every morning. Other than that, terrific hotel!

We enjoyed having a room right on the pool. The outdoor chairs were wonderful to spend time in. Proximity to the elevator and restaurant did mean it was loud at night with the music from the bar. Just something to be aware of when booking this room. We still loved it. Very clean and comfortable. Hotel is close to everything

Great location, we got a corner room so it was spacious, but the hotel is in the middle of all the buildings, if you're looking for view, this might not be it. It's right across from the International Village's (shopping center) above ground multi-storied parking garage. Our room was on the 7th floor and still in full view of the packade, I think you'd have to be like 9-10 or above to avoid staring right at that guy who's leaning on the ledge and smoking while staring at hotel rooms.

We booked a corner room on an upper floor, and it was wonderful! The room decor was stylish, yet comfortable. The staff was very attentive. Always a smile and greeting when we were in the lobby. Our bed was overly soft, and they immediately resolved it with a mattress change. The housekeeping staff was prompt and friendly. We loved everything about our stay at the Laylow, and will be back again!

The location is in a great area of Waikiki since it’s so close to all the shops, stores, and restaurants. The valet guys work really hard and are really friendly and efficient. But unfortunately, I wouldn’t stay here again. It was really loud staying in this area and there was a lot of homeless people that stayed around the bottom of the escalator to get to the hotel. The hideout bar is located in the hotel, so there were a lot of drunk people as well.

My flight was cancelled after 2 1/2 hrs on the tarmac for mechanical difficulties. There were no other options to get to Honolulu that day. One call to Expedia and two to the Laylow were useless. They wouldn’t refund even a portion of the three night stay when I was stranded on the other side of the ocean due to no fault of my own. Very disappointed—will not be staying there again.

The hotel is on Waikiki, very conveniently located and the staff are incredible: friendly, and helpful, and generally the property is clean. There are often live performances at the Hideout, so lovely to enjoy drinks and the music. There are also public transit/bus stops nearby that will take you to places like Diamond Head. One thing is doesn’t have is the beach direct access, which we didnt mind, as the beach is always quite busy, so we liked the fact that we could enjoy some peace and clean space to lounge by the pool. The shaved ice offered at 1pm each day is a nice touch to cool off.

Had a wonderful time on our engagement weekend. Staff was friendly. Lots to do in the heart of Waikiki, a block from the beach. With duke’s street market below us. 9/10 valet was an issue bc we never got the ticket.

Good cause Property was close to shopping and eateries with in walking distance. Driving up was not convenient into the alley way. Have to stop for people coming and going on sidewalk to the entrance. Nice experience.

Great location. Easy 5-7 minute walk to the beach. TONS of eating options with a short 1-10 minute walk. An independent bar downstairs has happy hour from Noon - 7pm. Paia Fish Market is right next door. Marugame Udon (fresh made noodles in house) is directly across the steeet from the property. International Marketplace is about 100 yards away. Very close. Walking thru Int’l Marketplace lands you on Kalakaua Ave where you’ll find high end shopping and more eating options like Vintage Island Coffee - our favorite for coffee and açaí bowls. We didn’t find any need to rent a car to get around town since we booked activities that picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel. While it isn’t the newest construction, they’ve done a good job of keeping it up to date and clean. Live music performances Sun - Thur. DJ Fri & Sat. Friendly staff. The Laylow definitely has a spot on our short list for places to stay in Waikiki.

Fantastic hotel located right in the heart of Waikiki. Very accessible to restaurants, shops, and the beach is a mere 5 min walk away. Hotel is comfortable and clean with a wonderful staff. Would absolutely stay here again! Only complaint I have are the mattresses. They are surprisingly lumpy and made my back sore every morning. Other than that, terrific hotel!

The vibes were top tier at The Laylow. Everyone that I encountered was amazing, helpful, kind and genuinely caring. I really enjoyed the daily activities in the lobby & at the pool. The front desk staff was always helpful & pleasant. Last but certainly not least the bartenders, baristas and performers at The Hideout gave me so many wonderful options for dining & entertainment, I didn’t need to go anywhere else unless I really wanted to. I loved being able to walk to so many options so quickly. The International Market Place is literally next door. The Waikiki Market (higher end grocery store) is only a few block away, and their food options convenience were perfect for grabbing water, drinks, salads, wide variety of poke and so many other options of local fruits, snacks, etc. I was able to book all of the excursion/tourist activities I wanted to try right in the lobby with the Blue Hawaiian vendor that was there daily. I did surfing lessons (twice), a dolphin swim, & luau. All the activities offered shuttle pick-up from a near by hotel, so there was only a 5-10 walk for each session. Each tour/ activity provided safe/ clear transportation and wonderful, knowledge filled experiences. This was my first trip to the Hawaiian islands, and I didn’t want to leave so much so that I cried when I checked out on my last day. The front desk staff was so kind and loving while I got myself together, including the GM who introduced himself. I can’t wait to go back.

Excellent location if you are planning to stay in Waikiki area for your vacation. The friendly staff was willing to help with a smile and valet parking staff was great. During our stay we only had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, Hideout, as there were many dining options around Laylow and it was fine. Again friendly staff as well working at Hideout. Highly recommend!

Our stay at the Laylow was great, the hotel is modern, well kept and within walking distance to dining/shopping and the beach. The Hideout restaurant/bar at the hotel was also great, the food and drinks were delicious. There was also live music every night. Would stay here everytime we return to Honolulu.

The location is amazing, and the breakfast was definitely a highlight—really delicious. I also loved the hotel’s decoration, very stylish and well thought out. That said, a few things didn’t meet expectations: I never received the welcome box I was told about, my room faced a parking lot, and the cleaning staff took my body wash during the stay. The pool also looked better in photos than in real life. Overall, not a bad stay, but for the price, I expected a bit more

We had a good stay at The Laylow overall. We did have to move rooms three times because of a smell, but the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating throughout the process and ultimately moved us into an even better room. Once we were settled, the room was great! We enjoyed the bar and restaurant for breakfast. The location is incredibly convenient to the beach (a short walk through the mall) and tons of restaurants, and we loved that the hotel provides beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella free of charge. Also, the noodle spot across the street is SO good! Overall, it’s a nice hotel in the middle of a very busy area, and we really appreciated how hard the staff worked to make sure we had a good stay.

One of the best parts of our stay was when we stepped off the elevator onto our floor. Noridel, from Housekeeping, was in the hallway. The way she greeted us made us feel so special and welcome. Throughout our stay, she took excellent care of us. We’ve been in many, many hotels, and Noridel’s treatment of us, and welcoming us was above all others. I looked forward every day to seeing her in the hall. Thanks Noridel!!
