The Old Fourpenny Shop Hotel

A lovely place to stay for our short break. Parking was off site but easy to manage. The family room was plenty big enough for the 4 of us. Breakfast waa delicious and cooked to order. The bar was a lovely environment to sit in the evening. Sadly the weather wasn't good enough to enjoy the lovely outside areas.

The hotel serves a wide range of real ales, and has a reasonable menu. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, tidy and warm. Bed was comfortable. The only disappointment was there was no kettle, all the drinks were pods. There were no decaf options.

Very nice pub/hotel. Food in the pub was great and service was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Just a nice overall place to stay

Very nice quirky hotel. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was yummy snd freshly cooked. Staff pleasant the hotel is very small with rooms upstairs. A very narrow set of stairs to the rooms. Ours was on the third level and it was hard to get our bags up. I would stay there again but i would take a small bag with what i needed to the room and leave the suitcases in the car. Street parking. Just what i imagined an English pub to be. Lovely
