Hey. We did love our stay at the Wheatsheaf. And would definitely return. But not in high temperatures, the room was lovely but so hot we couldn’t sleep. The staff were amazing and attentive, the food good, the breakfast was delicious. As I said, we would love to return.

Lovely old pub with friendly and helpful staff even when I pitched up early the room was ready. Lively nights sleep in a spotless room and large breakfast to set me on my way. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay especially if you are attending a wedding a Chaucer barbs as this a very close location

We stayed just before the heatwave. Even so it was warm enough. Opening windows and wedging the door open brought a cooling breeze. Also, facing the beer garden, it didn’t have the morning sun, which also helps with staying cooler. Our room was called Clay and it’s one in which dogs are allowed. Plenty of coffee and tea for the hospitality tray as well as bottles of water. Breakfast was very good. Everyone was very friendly. Lovely building. Strongly recommend.

Good parking area. The room was lovely, spacious and clean. The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough. We requested an early check-in so we could change before going to a wedding and they were thankfully able to accommodate. The gardens are lovely to sit in if the weather is good and the bar has plenty of areas to sit with a cosy snug area. The breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice. Will definitely stay here again.
