Lulu was lovely and the rooms were clean and well stocked. We booked the loft apartment to have more room. She included continental breakfast even though it wasn't included in our booking. The bed was comfy. Lulu's is a lovely old railway station with three pubs nearby. The village is very small but has a post office and a few shops. The beach is half a mile away.

Lulu was a fantastic host and was very keen on making our stay comfortable. Its a small town lodging in a quiet part of the Lake District, so come to enjoy personable, relaxed lodging, not the Waldorf Astoria. Clean, quiet, breakfast if you care to, pubs and food close by with wonderful people to meet...a beach 5 min walk, fantastic country to drive and see...a great stay!

We stayed at LuLus the night before starting the C2C hike. The location is very convenient to the train station and within walking distance to several restaurants, and the trail entrance. Our room was clean and comfortable, and our host was welcoming.

I needed somewhere reasonably priced for an overnight stay with an early departure. Lulu’s ticked the boxes. The place is really clean, really convenient & really comfortable. Lulu contacted me & explained the check in rules as I was arriving late, & then met me to ensure I had everything I needed. I’d recommend this place if you have similar needs. It’s in an old railway building which overlooks the station platform too, which adds character.

Couldn’t have received a warmer welcome, the venue is unique, located at St Bees railway station; the room was fab as was the giant bath! The trains arriving into the station directly outside my window were actually quite comforting, but maintenance being carried out on the tracks at 2:30am was far from ideal, awfully loud and kept me awake for at least an hour!

Very comfortable room in interesting old railway station. Great value and lovely welcome from "Lulu" and her Mum. Very generous "help yourself" breakfast of cereal toast, tea and coffee at whatever time suits you. St Bees is nice to walk round: with pubs and a little beach with a kids playground and a very good cafe. Lake District is next door by car, and the coastal railway to Lancaster or Carlisle is a delight.

Owner could not have done more for us. We were made to feel incredibly welcome and the room was perfect. Breakfast was great and we were able to access it at 4.30 before the coast to coast ride!

The bed was comfy. Lulu's is a lovely old railway station with three pubs nearby. The village is very small but has a post office and a few shops. The beach is half a mile away.
Lulu was lovely and the rooms were clean and well stocked. We booked the loft apartment to have more room. She included continental breakfast even though it wasn't included in our booking. What a wonderful stay. Host was so kind and helpful. Perfectly located for coastal rambles or catching the shuttle train (on the doorstep) further afield. The room was clean and well furnished and the continental breakfast was plentiful (I recommend the home made chocolate granola!) - it kept me going on my walk into Ennerdale.
