Sierra Alta Finca Boutique

The hotel itself is attractive, the staff are excellent and the food is very good. The room we were given was more or less as shown in the photos though smaller than it appeared. It was a tight for 3 people and there was no place to sit and relax inside the room other than on your bed and the lighting there was not great. Although there is a gorgeous little private deck off the room, I was unable to use it because the mosquitos were so bad. However, my main complaint is with the listing itself. The hotel is situated 45 min outside of Minca and cannot be reached in a regular vehicle. A 4 x 4 is required. The owner will arrange transport for you but at your own expense (approximately $40 USD one way). None of this info is provided in the listing, yet the additional cost and hassle are substantial. I would not have stayed had this information been clear.
