My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and the property was well-maintained and exceptionally clean for a historic building. Ricky was very helpful with information about the town, tours, and places to go. Free ice, drinks, and snacks were available in the lobby and the breakfast was delicious. We will go back! Also, they were so helpful when I called at 9:30 at night and could not get into my room. Very nice staff that work here. Parking is tight so pay attention to the instructions.

The location is great for the historic district and free parking a big bonus. The check-in was odd. The room was very small and the shower about 2 ft from the bed. Breakfast a bit odd also, no choices and you find out what you get when the food arrives. The food was good and we did like what they chose.

I realize this is an old house, but it should be in better condition renting to customers. Super small driveway with VERY limited tight parking. No signs to show where to check in or find staff to check in or out. Entire entry to our building appeared to be under construction, so initial appearance was poor. Double beds were a bit tight, but stated in advance. Door knob to room was not usable and kept falling off, bathroom door was not able to latch so no ability for privacy should have it been needed. TV or service (not sure which was responsible) had constant moving lines like there was interference from something. Room itself was quaint and No information as to how to inquire about breakfast, and since there was nobody in the few tables in the building next door, we didn't know if it was even offered. They said coffee available in the house next door but was just a k-cup machine and had small travel cups available, which I guess was fine. Location was nice and they did decorate nicely for the Christmas theme. Lady we met for check-in was pleasant and overall our one night was fine, but just not what you would expect from a historical beautiful building with not much information on where, when and how.

We had room number 8 which was at the back of the property and upstairs. No elevator, so our luggage was heavy to carry up. However, one of the workers grabbed the heaviest luggage and took it up for us. Very nice. The room was quite small...bed, shower, toilet stall with sink. TV had few channels. We were not there much so it didn't matter. The LOCATION was perfect to everything we wanted to walk and see. The staff were over the top friendly, and breakfast was tasty each morning. If you don't care about your room being upscale, stay here....location, location, location!

Nobody to welcome you. Shown to a room eventually by a member of staff who showed us to the wrong room type. Nobody available to resolve or any contact details out of hours. No information on breakfast. Didn’t check in or out as nobody available Room next door being refurbished but staff working on it in the evening for hours until after 9.30pm - drilling, hoovering, music and loud talking. Had to ask 3 times to stop until eventually did after 9.30pm. Not happy

The Inn on Charlotte is no more. It has been shut down due to construction of a restaurant. I booked the reservations through Hotels.com under the belief that we would be staying at the Inn on Charlotte. We were told the day of check in that we would be saying at their sister Property called the Hemingway House. The Hemingway House room was so small you couldn’t even walk around the room. The tv was outdated and old. We got hoodwinked and should get a refund. The fact that they can advertise the Inn on Charlotte knowing that it’s being renovated is beyond sketchy.

THE ROOM WAS EXTRA SMALL EVEN FOR A COTTAGE. THE HOT WATER IN BATH ROOM DID NOT WORK. PARKING SPACE WAS NOT MARKED AS STATED. TERRIBLE B&B WOULD NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO STAY THERE.

Good: The property is well located for exploring the historic area of Savannah. The staff is exceptional. The restaurant is excellent. Great bar. Bad: The parking is very difficult & I thought was included with the room; nope - $15/day for a sardine space. The old rooms are noisy/will hear everyone walking above (luckily we travel with sound machine). Worst: The shower water pressure is abysmal - would be hard pressed to put out a small birthday candle.

We did no experience any of the problems mentioned by other guests. We were delayed checking-in but once the clerk arrived, he was very helpful. I suggest that the A/C fan stay on all night, even when the cooling stops, to keep the air circulating. Our Honda Ridgeline truck had to be parked about a half block away, but we were so close to things we did not need it. Overall, it was a godd time.

We booked this property because of the proximity to the downtown st Augustine area, which is great…parking was also very easy considering we were in a larger vehicle. The room was very small, but worked for just the two of us. Our room was described as having a “private balcony” which was really just a set of stairs leading to our door, I wouldn’t call it a balcony lol more like a stair landing lol also, we were told checkout was 11 am, and at 9:00, one of the staff attempted to unlock our door and open it as my husband and I were getting dressed! No knock first, nothing. Just the sound of the door code being entered and the door lock unlocking itself until my husband shouted wait please, and they left. Extremely unprofessional! We won’t stay here again, there’s plenty of other hotels within walking distance that we will try next time. This one was a bust😕

Location was very close to everything and manager was helpful upon arrival. However our room was not clean and there was a used wash cloth and razor with hair in it in our shower. The entire room was dusty and had condensation everywhere. It just felt like we were staying in someone’s house and not given a clean room like a hotel. I would not feel comfortable staying there again.

This small hotel is in an excellent location for easy walks through the historic district of St Augustine. Restaurants, shops, and activities are all close by. It was clean, comfortable, well-run and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Our recent stay at the Inn on Charlotte was fantastic. The location is perfect for seeing the historic part of St. Augustine. The suite (no. 4) was fabulous. The bed was wonderful; the bathroom was spacious and clean; the shower was great. The breakfasts were very good and filling. They had an afternoon wine social that wasn't all that great. I would recommend either offering much more wine (I think all we had was 4 ounces per person and no beer) and beer and more snacks (all they had was gold fish crackers and some cookies) or just skip it. My only real concern was that the coffee wasn't ready much earlier. It was available at 8:30 am. I guess I would have liked it at 7:30 am. However, overall I was quite pleased with our stay there.

The room was very small. It looked much larger from the pictures when I looked. The soap dispenser fell off the wall spilling everywhere. The internet didn’t work. We were there three days and they never cleaned the room. They replaced the towels once.

We had room number 8 which was at the back of the property and upstairs. No elevator, so our luggage was heavy to carry up. However, one of the workers grabbed the heaviest luggage and took it up for us. Very nice. The room was quite small...bed, shower, toilet stall with sink. TV had few channels. We were not there much so it didn't matter. The LOCATION was perfect to everything we wanted to walk and see. The staff were over the top friendly, and breakfast was tasty each morning. If you don't care about your room being upscale, stay here....location, location, location!

Where should I start? Let’s start with everything that has been described here is FALSELY advertised!! Started with having us to park somewhere outside of the premises… don’t count on the WiFi because it doesn’t work… I got one of the most expensive rooms that looked nothing like the pictures… as it is described in room details our bathtub was supposed to be “ Jetted bathtub” which was BROKEN and to top it off good luck finding any staffs around…

Our recent stay at the Inn on Charlotte was fantastic. The location is perfect for seeing the historic part of St. Augustine. The suite (no. 4) was fabulous. The bed was wonderful; the bathroom was spacious and clean; the shower was great. The breakfasts were very good and filling. They had an afternoon wine social that wasn't all that great. I would recommend either offering much more wine (I think all we had was 4 ounces per person and no beer) and beer and more snacks (all they had was gold fish crackers and some cookies) or just skip it. My only real concern was that the coffee wasn't ready much earlier. It was available at 8:30 am. I guess I would have liked it at 7:30 am. However, overall I was quite pleased with our stay there.

Good: The property is well located for exploring the historic area of Savannah. The staff is exceptional. The restaurant is excellent. Great bar. Bad: The parking is very difficult & I thought was included with the room; nope - $15/day for a sardine space. The old rooms are noisy/will hear everyone walking above (luckily we travel with sound machine). Worst: The shower water pressure is abysmal - would be hard pressed to put out a small birthday candle.

The room was very small. It looked much larger from the pictures when I looked. The soap dispenser fell off the wall spilling everywhere. The internet didn’t work. We were there three days and they never cleaned the room. They replaced the towels once.

We booked this property because of the proximity to the downtown st Augustine area, which is great…parking was also very easy considering we were in a larger vehicle. The room was very small, but worked for just the two of us. Our room was described as having a “private balcony” which was really just a set of stairs leading to our door, I wouldn’t call it a balcony lol more like a stair landing lol also, we were told checkout was 11 am, and at 9:00, one of the staff attempted to unlock our door and open it as my husband and I were getting dressed! No knock first, nothing. Just the sound of the door code being entered and the door lock unlocking itself until my husband shouted wait please, and they left. Extremely unprofessional! We won’t stay here again, there’s plenty of other hotels within walking distance that we will try next time. This one was a bust😕

I booked a stay at the Inn on Charlotte and not only did I not get to stay in the Inn, I was forced to stay in the adjacent sister building. Come to find out, people were staying in the Inn on Charlotte the very next day after telling us “there’s repairs that need to be done so we can accommodate you there” very disappointed in the customer service

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and the property was well-maintained and exceptionally clean for a historic building. Ricky was very helpful with information about the town, tours, and places to go. Free ice, drinks, and snacks were available in the lobby and the breakfast was delicious. We will go back! Also, they were so helpful when I called at 9:30 at night and could not get into my room. Very nice staff that work here. Parking is tight so pay attention to the instructions.

We were taken to wrong room by the staff. After putting our luggage in the room that the staff member checked us into we went out on the town. We were contacted via phone and told that we were in the wrong room. We then had to go back to the Inn and were told that we needed to move all our luggage to another room that was not as nice. This was a real pain.

This small hotel is in an excellent location for easy walks through the historic district of St Augustine. Restaurants, shops, and activities are all close by. It was clean, comfortable, well-run and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Very nice property that is centrally located. Close to shops and restaurants. The parking was convenient. Staff were also very friendly and check in was a breeze. They constantly checked up on arrival time and type of vehicle. Will definitely stay there again. One comment though, the room we stayed at could use an adapter or an extension cord. The plugs by the bed were behind the bed and not very accessible. We also had multiple devices that needed plugs and there were only 2 easy to get to by the front door. Of course these are first world problems and something we easily worked around. Just giving feedback to make this place perfect!

Liked the location. Loved our shower. Didn't like virtual check in at 5pm. No one was there to tell us that breakfast was only from 915 to 945. The parking was complimentary but someone else parked in our spot and they couldn't do anything about it. The breakfast was great. You don't get to choose. It's whatever they are serving...not what the website said.Jennifer and Carter were the best. Mandatory room cleaning few $15 per day. No mention of this when i booked the room.

Nobody to welcome you. Shown to a room eventually by a member of staff who showed us to the wrong room type. Nobody available to resolve or any contact details out of hours. No information on breakfast. Didn’t check in or out as nobody available Room next door being refurbished but staff working on it in the evening for hours until after 9.30pm - drilling, hoovering, music and loud talking. Had to ask 3 times to stop until eventually did after 9.30pm. Not happy

The Inn on Charlotte is no more. It has been shut down due to construction of a restaurant. I booked the reservations through Hotels.com under the belief that we would be staying at the Inn on Charlotte. We were told the day of check in that we would be saying at their sister Property called the Hemingway House. The Hemingway House room was so small you couldn’t even walk around the room. The tv was outdated and old. We got hoodwinked and should get a refund. The fact that they can advertise the Inn on Charlotte knowing that it’s being renovated is beyond sketchy.

Easy walk to all historic areas. Did not get quite what we thought we were paying for And could have easily booked a hotel for cheaper and received better service and accommodations. Literally used the stay as a place to sleep, didn’t stay in room any longer than needed

Location was very close to everything and manager was helpful upon arrival. However our room was not clean and there was a used wash cloth and razor with hair in it in our shower. The entire room was dusty and had condensation everywhere. It just felt like we were staying in someone’s house and not given a clean room like a hotel. I would not feel comfortable staying there again.

The location is great for the historic district and free parking a big bonus. The check-in was odd. The room was very small and the shower about 2 ft from the bed. Breakfast a bit odd also, no choices and you find out what you get when the food arrives. The food was good and we did like what they chose.

We had a very good experience at the Inn on Charlotte. The service was excellent, the food was very good, the location is perfect for someone who wants to wander around in downtown Saint Augustine. We will come back next year.

We were not able to find anyone to let us into the inn. We rang bell multiple times, called no answer no voicemail. Sent text message no response. We left and are disputing this charge.

The location is great, right by the Castile. The restroom sink was the smallest ive ever seen, no counter space at all. There is no breakfast and the only coffee was in another hotel next door, which was locked and my code didnt work. They overcharged me $80, i have no idea why.

I realize this is an old house, but it should be in better condition renting to customers. Super small driveway with VERY limited tight parking. Double beds were a bit tight, but stated in advance. Door knob to room was not usable and kept falling off, bathroom door was not able to latch so no ability for privacy should have it been needed. TV or service (not sure which was responsible) had constant moving lines like there was interference from something. Room itself was quaint and No information as to how to inquire about breakfast, and since there was nobody in the few tables in the building next door, we didn't know if it was even offered. They said coffee available in the house next door but was just a k-cup machine and had small travel cups available, which I guess was fine. Location was nice and they did decorate nicely for the Christmas theme. Lady we met for check-in was pleasant and overall our one night was fine, but just not what you would expect from a historical beautiful building with not much information on where, when and how.
I realize this is an old house, but it should be in better condition renting to customers. Super small driveway with VERY limited tight parking. The Inn on Charlotte is no more. It has been shut down due to construction of a restaurant. I booked the reservations through Hotels.com under the belief that we would be staying at the Inn on Charlotte. We were told the day of check in that we would be saying at their sister Property called the Hemingway House. The Hemingway House room was so small you couldn’t even walk around the room. The tv was outdated and old. We got hoodwinked and should get a refund. The fact that they can advertise the Inn on Charlotte knowing that it’s being renovated is beyond sketchy.

Easy walk to all historic areas. Did not get quite what we thought we were paying for And could have easily booked a hotel for cheaper and received better service and accommodations. Literally used the stay as a place to sleep, didn’t stay in room any longer than needed
