A small business, single owner motel. The buildings are old and there are no frills. (pool, gym, business center) This is not a complaint. The Royal Inn is a basic, clean, maintained motor lodge. The price matches these traits at about half of what the famous national chain motels in St Mary's cost. I stay at The Royal Inn often and will again.

It is a lovely old time motel. It was clean. Make sure you ask for first floor if you can’t do stairs as there is no elevator so you have to haul your belongings up two flights of stairs.

The property is on a major route for easy access. The managers were accommodating to our special request for checking in early. They were very busy the weekend we stayed that we had to make 2 separate reservations for each nights stay. They gave us the key to the second room in the morning when we checked out of the first room. The continental breakfast was toast with jams, OJ, milk, cereal, and pastries, coffee and tea. Restaurant on the grounds was not open for breakfast.

Old style hotel with actual keys for the hotel room door. It was nice having a bar and restaurant attached to the hotel.

Quiet, clean, friendly staff, easy check-in, ample parking, very comfortable beds and sizeable rooms, but best of all was the on-site restaurant with fabulous food, lots of options, big portions and great service. All combined for an excellent experience and a great stay. We will definitely return the next time we journey through this area.

Parking was easy and very secure big parking lot an can park in front of your room if you choose

The shower curtain was so close to the center of the shower that it would stick to my body as I tried to shower. The bed was old and terribly uncomfortable. Bottom of the shower curtain was very moldy. Had no maid service on Saturday.

The room was clean. The bed had a firmer mattress but that what I like. My room was in the back row and the only way to was a very narrow driveway.

The stairwell was filthy, complete with cigarette butts, the grounds were littered with trash, no elevator, and it smelled vaguely like cigarettes in the lobby. Staff were courteous!

The hotel itself was clean. The room was quiet and at the back side do the property. The water was hot and had good pressure. The mattress, though on the harder side was comfortable. The AC worked as did the Microwave and minor-fridge. The breakfast was adequate (mini cereal boxes, toast, danishes, juice and milk). The biggest drawback for me was the smell. The room smelled old/damp and we purchased two diffusers to assist with the smell. The hotel seems a bit outages and could use a revamp. However, overall it was a good stay and it was cheap.

The rooms were definitely not the cleanest that I have been in. There were ants all over the bathroom floor after we showered. The continental breakfast was not a breakfast. The paint in the showers were chipping as you showered. The bed smelled clean though and the staff was absolutely nice

Bathroom shower leaked and it had bugs all over bathroom floor. Checking in staff and waitress same person had alittle attitude because it was close to closing time. Wasnt even asked at our checkout how our stay went.

Non smoking room that smelled like it was smoked in.

Food and staff in dining room was excellent. Rooms were ok, but smelled a little musty and only one of three locks on the the door worked.

Was discusted went to the bathroom and seen cockroach running across the floor immediately left. And it wasnt the best smelling either.

This property's best attribute is how spotless clean it was and the reasonable price compared to other lodging in the area. The room was basic and the decor was quite dated. If all you require is a reasonably-priced, clean place to sleep, this is the place for you.

Bare bones cheap place to crash while travelling. AC was the newest thing in the room and worked great. Everything else needs updating. Room decor vintage 80’s. Would have been nice to more pillows; provided ones were thin and I didn’t sleep well.

The room was fine other that being extremely warm.

The internet did not work from our room. But we had a wonderful time visiting Ridgway.

Dated property with minimal outlets. Doors face parking lot, so in winter the cold comes in through gaps. Shower/toilet are cramped. Hot water was nonexistent.

It was like stepping back to 1955. The decor of the entire place was like stepping back into the 50's or 60's. The furniture in the rooms was in dire need of updating. One of the chairs wiggled every time you sat in it. The bathroom was bizarre, sink in the hall, toilet and shower were on the other side of the door, and were so crowded you pretty much had to stand in the shower to close the door. Everything seemed clean, but very old. The Continental breakfast consisted of single wrapped Danish that were stale and dry, single serve boxes of cold cereal, bread that was already pretty dry for making toast, coffee, tea and orange juice. The only source for heat was a small electric space heater. In general, I felt like I stepped into a time warp from 1955

It was a ok place. Did not spend much time there. We were in back. Parking was weird in front of rooms. It was noisy in the early morning with alot of car door banging. would stay there again.

Room was really clean , bed was extremely comfortable, Extra blankets and pillows if needed. Only thing I would suggest is a hairdryer in the room and makeup remover cloths to save their washclothes. We dont have a good review on the Restaurant. Pasta for my husband was cold along with my soft pretzel fried in fish oil. Smelled and tasted like fish. French onion soup tasted sour like it was old. Sent it all back. Good thing I didnt have an allergy. and service stinks.

Just stayed one night. The room was dated but clean. Could hear traffic and people entering and leaving their rooms. Very nice restaurant with good food and service.

The bed need to be replaced. Mattress is terrible

Great for our purpose of motor cycle touring. Staff friendly and helpful. Convenient with restaurant and bar on site.

The check in was easy, I showed up a day late and they were very accommodating- no charges for days I reserved but didn’t use. I was working nights and got good sleep during the day. I’ll stay again next time.

They did not have our reservation when we got there. Apparently they stopped using your app for booking reservations. They were able to find us a room for the night

Office cloed thru out the day even tho sign says open from 7 to 10 for check-in. Bedding had white stains on it

Amazing staff!

Check-in young lady and older man were not very personable. Room was clean enough, very noisy air conditioner, rather uncomfortable bed. Included breakfast consisted of choice of two packaged rolls and only decaf coffee. There was nobody available to talk to so we couldn't get real coffee.

When we arrived to check in, had to ring the bell to get service. Waited about five minutes, then this staff comes behind the desk and this is what she says. “ What do you want?” Wasn’t sure how I was suppose to respond, since I’m standing at the motel check in counter. But I decided to keep my cool and said that we had a reservation. Then the next night we decided to check out this fine dinning restaurant they posted about. We walked in about 7:25, then the server had the nerve to say to us, the kitchen closes at 9. If you going to order anything, and we close at that time also. We decided to just to order an appetizer, and a drink and leave. But, two other regular customers came in and they never said a word about what time the kitchen closes. So now it’s time to check out, we let them know that the room was very hot and we had the heater off. Not sure if you guys knew something was wrong. She laughed and said yeah that’s one of the hottest rooms, it’s next to the broiler room. How rude can this place be. If they knew this, and this place had so many empty rooms, why would you give it to us or anyone. So from the first day till the last day. The service was terrible and I would not recommend it to anyone. Now if you are looking for a great place to eat and feel welcomed. Drive a mile down road to Summit Inn. We ended up eating there twice and the food was wonderful and the service was Amazing!!! We will definitely be staying at the Summit next visit.

No one at counter when we checked in. Rang a bell for service but took her a long time to come out. Very little available for free breakfast. No ice machine. Sink and tub didn't drain very well. Room was clean but one chair in the room was ripped up and needed put in a dumpster. Our room was around back of motel and only one other room occupied in our section so it was really quiet.

Room was comfortable and cozy. It was clean. Staff at check in and check out were helpful and courteous.

The motel looked old but the staff was friendly and my room was spacious and clean. When we arrived, the restaurant was unavailable due to a private party (it was packed with dressed people) but the staff kindly recommended some restaurants in downtown Ridgeway. We went to a nice restaurant which was within a five-minute drive from the motel. Breakfast was prepared at 6:30 am. It was milk, orange juice, bread, and cereals. The motel is a 40-minute drive from the Elk Country Visitor Center. Overall, we were satisfied with our experience.

Hotel was conveniently located. Hotel is on the older side without any upgrades being done. Wouldn’t really recommend.

We stay here once or twice a year for many years now. Staff are always friendly and personable. They recognize us so it's very comfortable for us there. The restaurant is outstanding!!!
