This property is in the heart of the pueblo and is a bed and breakfast based in an old pueblo style home. It is very charming and peaceful with a lovely patio to hang out in the evening, or even the front porch of the house! Given that it is a house, there is a full-size communal kitchen, dining areas and living room. Our room was in the basement with a king size bed and a sitting area that was delightful. However, this basement room had low ceilings and my 6'4" partner had to duck, but the bathroom has a full ceiling. If you are under 6' you will have no problems. The breakfast included was the best I have ever had with an abundance of nutritious delicious food that I was unable to finish! Overall, the Inn at Halona was one of the most delightful, peaceful places I have stayed, and I highly recommend it.

The Inn at Halona is more like a bed and breakfast. It’s part of their trading post. You check in at their store counter and pick out what you want to eat the next morning. (I’ll get back to that in a second.) We got a room in a house with shared full kitchen and living room where we could make ourselves tea or cook ourselves a meal. They also had a nice courtyard with a couple of friendly cats. A very comfortable and convenient stay. So back to breakfast! I had ordered a breakfast burrito with red chili and the kids had pancakes and eggs, and we also got a side of blue corn pancakes. Let me tell you, it was the best red chili I had on our trip and the rest of the breakfast was amazing too! Definitely staying here the next time we come through this area.

Building one is cozy and charming. It’s close to the museum and a quick walk to the plaza and mission church. The young lady who showed me to my room was friendly and knowledgeable about the Inn at Halona and the village. She and the front desk staff were very welcoming. There is a deli on the inn property and a pleasant art filled room to enjoy your meal. I look forward to returning to Halona and going on a tour provided by the visitor center.

The Inn at Halona is a gem. Quiet, cool, comfortable and charming with modern conveniences as well (AC, wifi, breakfast and good coffee). Walking into the Inn from a hot dusty day was one of the best arrival experiences I have enjoyed in many years of travel.

This was a very unique stay. I loved the look and welcoming feel of the place on the outside. Lots of plants, friendly kitties to pet, lovely coy pond. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and was always there to make sure you were enjoying your stay. This was by also far the nicest looking place in the town. Although the breakfast wasn't all that great, the ladies working in the kitchen were very nice and always had the tables set with your desired drinks and tableware. There was however some downsides. I love cats, but my boyfriend is highly allergic, and though there was not cat hair in our room, it did smell strongly of a cat litter box. They have lovely sitting areas throughout the property, but we could not utilize them because they needed a good cleaning and the cats were using them. Also need to be aware that there are a lot of stray dogs everywhere outside of the property. None seemed aggressive but be sure to keep an eye out when you are driving through. Overall, I think it was an experience I do not regret by any means. But I do think it's best for others to know what to expect when you go there. I would stay there again if I was needing a place near that area.

What a beautiful place! Super clean, great kitchen amenities (Keurig, fridge goodies), fascinating wall-hangings, framed drawings and paintings, and a small but great Zuni-related library. Roger, Ramona, and folks at the Halona Plaza restaurant were friendly and good-spirited. I am like, can't I just live in this awesome place. In the middle of old Zuni and you can feel the power and the long history of the people. Highly recommended.

My husband’s comment upon arriving in the parking lot at the Inn at Halona was simply: “You’re kidding!” From the outside it appears to be a couple of weather beaten buildings with aging fences around. The inn keepers are totally hospitable on the inside though. We checked in around 3 and were shown to our room. It was number one, particularly cozy with a tiny shower. Everything worked and was clean, breakfast was amazing. Zuni and this place are charming. We highly recommend.

Absolutely charming inn. Friendly staff l, friendly cats, and a great breakfast. My only advice: if you’re tall, don’t stay in room 5. The ceiling is a little low :D I would definitely stay here again.

The Inn was certainly an interesting place. It took us a while to figure out where were to to check in (in the store/restaurant next door) but once we got there the woman who greeted us couldn't have been nicer. The room I booked had 2 single beds but we decided that a larger bed would be better and we were accommodated for a slightly higher rate. The room was large and well appointed. No complaints.
The Inn was certainly an interesting place. The place was nice overall. We stayed in room 21, 2 twin beds. We had to climb a narrow set of stairs to the second level. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. A couple of things developed later which wasn't pleasant was that I woke up at 2 AM and felt cold. There was no heat, although setting the thermostat to 80, the AC unit blew out cold air. In the morning there was no hot water to shower. There was no television set in the room, although we didn't have time to watch it anyways. Morning breakfast was very good served by very courteous staff. Check out was very easy, just drop off the key card at the front desk. Other than no heat and cold shower, everything else was very good.

The Inn at Halona is a gem. Quiet, cool, comfortable and charming with modern conveniences as well (AC, wifi, breakfast and good coffee). Walking into the Inn from a hot dusty day was one of the best arrival experiences I have enjoyed in many years of travel.

This was a great place for us to stay as we had a meeting in Zuni. The room was very spacious and so comfortable, as well as being decorated to fit the area.The breakfast was made to order and delicious large portions. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

Friendly staff. Room was small but clean. Bed comfort was so-so. Heater unit was effective and very quiet. Also, all was quiet at night. Breakfast was excellent. We'd stay here again if we revisit Zuni Pueblo, but might consider a larger room and bed (ours was a double bed).

The room we stayed in had two single beds, small but cozy. Well kept and clean. Wi-Fi worked well. Incredible breakfast. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Great outside seating area and garden with very friendly cats. We were unable to figure out the TV or the heat, although it is noted we did not ask for help.

The Inn was certainly an interesting place. It took us a while to figure out where were to to check in (in the store/restaurant next door) but once we got there the woman who greeted us couldn't have been nicer. The room I booked had 2 single beds but we decided that a larger bed would be better and we were accommodated for a slightly higher rate. The room was large and well appointed. No complaints.

This is my second stay at the Inn. The young man who showed me to my room was very thorough in explaining the Inn and its features. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. Even when things went wrong and they couldn't get in to make our breakfasts, they remained gracious. The bed was comfortable, and the entire Inn and Halona market is full of amazing native art. It's like staying in a museum.

This property is in the heart of the pueblo and is a bed and breakfast based in an old pueblo style home. It is very charming and peaceful with a lovely patio to hang out in the evening, or even the front porch of the house! Given that it is a house, there is a full-size communal kitchen, dining areas and living room. Our room was in the basement with a king size bed and a sitting area that was delightful. However, this basement room had low ceilings and my 6'4" partner had to duck, but the bathroom has a full ceiling. If you are under 6' you will have no problems. The breakfast included was the best I have ever had with an abundance of nutritious delicious food that I was unable to finish! Overall, the Inn at Halona was one of the most delightful, peaceful places I have stayed, and I highly recommend it.

Everything about the property is in good condition giving the age and remote location. This is the only hotel within 25 miles and there is only a handful of rooms. Just getting a room is Great!

My husband’s comment upon arriving in the parking lot at the Inn at Halona was simply: “You’re kidding!” From the outside it appears to be a couple of weather beaten buildings with aging fences around. The inn keepers are totally hospitable on the inside though. We checked in around 3 and were shown to our room. It was number one, particularly cozy with a tiny shower. Everything worked and was clean, breakfast was amazing. Zuni and this place are charming. We highly recommend.

Our room was lovely and unique and very modern. Everything in the room was well done. The "restaurant" was a large room with food from the counter. We had the chicken that was quite good. Nothing fancy. Breakfast was great because you ordered the night before with a time and when we got down from our room it was ready and hot! Zuni itself is a small town with dirt roads so be prepared to get your car dirty! Wished we could have had a conversation with some of the people working but everyone was quite busy. Definitely a real resource for the community.

The young lady who showed me to my room was friendly and knowledgeable about the Inn at Halona and the village. She and the front desk staff were very welcoming. There is a deli on the inn property and a pleasant art filled room to enjoy your meal. I look forward to returning to Halona and going on a tour provided by the visitor center.

What a beautiful place! Super clean, great kitchen amenities (Keurig, fridge goodies), fascinating wall-hangings, framed drawings and paintings, and a small but great Zuni-related library. Roger, Ramona, and folks at the Halona Plaza restaurant were friendly and good-spirited. I am like, can't I just live in this awesome place. In the middle of old Zuni and you can feel the power and the long history of the people. Highly recommended.

It is not a hotel franchise-not cookie cutter and that is the charm of it. the staff was kind, the room was clean and the inn itself is so interesting in decor. it is in the pueblo, and there is a main road with shops very close.

The Inn at Halona is more like a bed and breakfast. It’s part of their trading post. You check in at their store counter and pick out what you want to eat the next morning. (I’ll get back to that in a second.) We got a room in a house with shared full kitchen and living room where we could make ourselves tea or cook ourselves a meal. They also had a nice courtyard with a couple of friendly cats. A very comfortable and convenient stay. So back to breakfast! I had ordered a breakfast burrito with red chili and the kids had pancakes and eggs, and we also got a side of blue corn pancakes. Let me tell you, it was the best red chili I had on our trip and the rest of the breakfast was amazing too! Definitely staying here the next time we come through this area.

The accommodation was very quirky it was like being in a tree house. Very homely and friendly and you picked what you wanted for breakfast the night before. Staff were very friendly and it was attached to a shop and a diner/takeaway. Breakfast was really good but slightly dis organised. The Inn at Halona was one of the nicest B & B's that my husband and I have ever stayed at. It was unique, clean, beautifully decorated with Zuni art, and so homey! We ate at the Plaza next door for dinner, and the fried chicken there has ruined me for life, as this place is a 10 hour drive from my house. If I want the BEST fried chicken I've ever had, I have to drive 10 hours. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, and our room was stocked with soft, colorful, NUMEROUS towels! It sounds like such a small thing, but I've stayed in many places where there is one towel per person, and it can be very difficult. Here, there were at least three each of facecloths, hand towels, and bath towels in a very pretty shade of rose that were so soft. I chose the blue corn pancakes for breakfast, they served me two of them,as big as the 12" diameter plate. Plenty to eat and SO good! Roger Thomas came by and spoke with everyone at breakfast. We had come in a little later than some other people, so he stayed and talked to us while we ate. He was funny, smart and a wonderful representative of the Zuni people. My husband and I felt accepted and cared for, and we wished that we could have spent more time among these gracious, welcoming people.
