Hampton Inn Palatka

The only bad part was the pools closed at dark and we were traveling with small children who wanted to swim but it was almost dark when we got there

Well, the stay was great but when returning to our car that was parked in front of the hotel, it was covered in water spots from the sprinkler system... what a mess all over my new car...

Very good. No problems. Clean room with excellent river views. Parking is good had no issues finding a place. Quiet room with good amenities. Didn't swim but nice outdoor pool area away from the public view.

Went to a wedding. Everyone that was apart of the wedding stayed at this hotel. The staff were VERY kind, patient, and accommodating. Everything for us was great! Only 2 negatives to point out... the old elevators need a makeover. Also, coffee wasn't great.

We stayed a Friday night for the Blue Crab Festival and had a very poor experience checking in. We were denied a second parking pass for my daughter who met us there. We drove 3 hours and she drove 2 hours only to be told firmly that they only allow 1 parking pass per room and she should park at the courthouse. We ended up having to rent another room so she could park in the lot with us without getting towed. It was a very expensive parking pass and this particular staff member was rude while training a new employee. She went out to the parking lot later with her flashlight to check the parking passes in the vehicles. It was a very traumatic experience. We could have made arrangements if we had known in advance of their parking rules for events.

Really convenient to have a boat dock nearby. View of the St. John’s River from the hotel is breathtaking.

Outdated, and not enough lighting around the property to feel safe as a woman staying alone.

Hotel was very clean and room was large and clean.

There was black mold in the shower, on the lampshades, and around the toilet. In the middle of the night several cockroaches emerged from behind the headboard of the bed...

Clean room, Friendly Staff

When I checked in. I was greeted how many cards would you like. Not hello or hi. Unprofessional and I was with my group from work, which we spent a lot of money on at that hotel. First impression not good. The manager seemed a little nervous because her computer was going slow. Found several hair in the shower & on the bathroom sink. Yuck! First day at breakfast staff greeted & nice. Not on the other days but it was busy. Check out staff was nice.

The staff themselves was amazing! But the hotel was not upto Hampton standards! I was executive housekeeper for Hampton in Tenn for 5 years and was very disappointed in this hotel. The duvet cover was stained, bath tub had no water pressure and could not use the tub because water would constantly drain. There was no microwave in our room and every hotel i have ever stayed at even the run down ones at least had microwave but I was informed that only the suites had them and at 180$ a night for a basic room I would at least expect a microwave.

I got a King bed room. The room was quiet and clean. Plenty of room and great view of the water!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. The only problem was operating the controls on the heating/cooling unit in the room. Ultimately, just turned it off.

This hotel was a gem siiting on the St Johns River with excellent views of the water. There was a festival going on in town that messed the traffic patterns and the front desk was able to give us clear directions to go around it. The breakfast was nice as well. I like to add that all of the staff was friendly and accommodating.

I travel with my 2 kids to this hotel. When arriving to check in I was told bout a 200 cash deposit! I ask her why I can’t charge ut to my credit card. She say they don’t take them for deposit. So I was like that’s weird. I proceeded to my bank at 2am in the morning give it take on the time. I checked in with a 200 deposit and had to ut my credit card on file for incidental also which they are the same! So now I’m thinking u wouldn’t take my card for a deposit but I still have to put my credit card on file! So I proceed upstairs we shower and went to bed. Knowing we work at 12. So the next morning I went to retrieve my deposit they said it was a protocol smh first I heard! So it was 9:40 when I got down. I noticed it’s 9:55 I have to hot yo work by 10. So I ask what’s taking so long it’s a house keeper there. One lady comes down she tell the front desk room find then they went in a lil room to talk to a manger on the phone. One lady come to tell me I’ve been smoking in the room smh I never smoked in the Damn room she said it smell like tobacco I been clean from cigarettes for 5 years I don’t smoke no cigarettes!!! I called the police because you guys taking my money not yo merchant if your white u don’t pay a cash deposit only people of color! So she comes saying it’s tobacco on the floor she shows a picture smh of some crumbs or something but it had nothing to do with me! I tell them to take me up there but no! I call corporate. They should have never ask for cash depi

The staff were amazing, some of the most helpful, kind and personable people we have encountered during our monthly stays for tournaments. Their teamwork also evident as well! Thank you for hiring and staffing such kind people.

I booked 2 rooms with Expedia. After checking out and looking at my Amex bill I noticed I was also charged by the hotel for the two rooms. I was double charged. They refunded one of the rooms still waiting on them to refund the other one..

Professional, courteous and helpful staff.

We were heading home from a soccer tournament in Sarasota when we unexpectedly needed to stop for the night. You know how it is - almost home and now we needed to spend more money on a hotel. Best $149 I have spent in a super long time. We were graciously welcomed at check-in my a charming desk clerk who gave us our choice of rooms and helped get us settled in to do laundry and get some sleep. She was professional, interested, and engaging. The room was just the right size, clean and plenty big. But, to be clear, it was the excellent service at check in that turned an annoyance into a pleasure. This is my second stay at this hotel and we will absolutely be back.

Great location

The hotel is nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. There's not too much to do near the hotel. Many of the local stores are closed within walking distance. Nice view of the St John's River. Hard to find places to eat nearby, but there are a few and some fast food type restaurants.

I love that it’s in a beautiful location, along the riverside. Easy to walk to a couple of restaurants and a park.

We are happy to have selected the Hampton Inn in Palatka. We booked 3 rooms for our family to go to the Palatka Craft Beer Festival, which was happening right next to the hotel. We were able to check-in early and not miss a minute of the festival. The staff were very pleasant and the hotel in very nice condition. We will book there again. BJ

My husband and I always stay here when we come through with our travels it's always clean and the breakfast is always wonderful

Beautiful hotel in front of the water. Nice rooms, excellent bathroom, very clean. Breakfast was included; I need to eat gluten free and there were not carbs gluten free, it will be my only suggestion, to add gluten free muffins or similar upon request. Very recommended 👌

Great breakfast!

Our check in was very easy. Our room is very comfortable. Breakfast, coffee and other drinks and snacks are delicious. The staff are very friendly. Lots of activities to do locally.

It was very convenient to what we were wanting. The staff was exceptionally nice, especially the lady in the breakfast area. She worked extremely well to keep everything tidy and complete.

The property was very nice and clean. Staff very friendly. Only thing I didn’t like, there were no chocolate chip cookies. Otherwise everything was pleasant.

Our room was very clean, the staff were very friendly and made check-in a breeze also our breakfast was fresh snd delicious. Looking forward to staying there this weekend with my husband for a romantic getaway.
