The food and staff were good. The room was a bit dusty and seems that perhaps it wasn’t in use recently, but also the furniture and bedding is very old and worn. They really should invest in some modest upgrades. It’s a great location and I would otherwise return, but not until the rooms are in better shape.

Our room was not heated, and it was a cold, rainy day. No one knew how to turn the heat on, but eventually the Lodge's caretaker called and was able to explain how to turn on the radiator. Later, the power went out (not their fault! It went out throughout the town!), so we lost heat again. That said, staff were friendly and really went above and beyond to ensure our safety and comfort. They truly went the extra mile. We were able to get our food at the restaurant before the power went out - it was all fresh, hot, and delicious! Breakfast the next day was basic buffet style, but, again, fresh, hot, and delicious. Overall, we would be willing to stay there again.

1. Room was in overall good condition. 2. Need better door locks. Fix broken door chain. 3. Remove devices that do not work (EX: TV, Plug-in Heater, outlet strip) 4. It would be nice to have heat sooner than night time. 5. Positive Note: Restaurant and Bar on 1st Floor.
