The location is nice and quiet, away from the busy city life. The night sky here is perfect to star gaze especially with a small observatory with a telescope to see the stars. Mike, the host, is easy to contact and keep in touch with when you need anything or have any questions. The house is cozy and well maintained. We appreciated the details and signage throughout the house. The kitchen is equipped with all cooking essentials. Bear in mind that you are a decent drive away from any markets so stock up prior to arrival. It’s about an hour drive to the entrance of Yosemite but you will get to enjoy the drive along the Merced river as you approach the gates.

Comfortable and relaxing. The house was nice and comfortable and the telescope was a great perk. There is another cabin that isn't too far away, so not quite as private as advertised, but the other guests were quiet and I suppose that's the nature of putting utilities on a property this remote--things can't be too far apart. Still very enjoyable!

Excellent stay for a getaway from the city. The property was so peaceful we could hear the frogs by the creek while relaxing on the porch. It felt like an old cabin with modern comfort. Our fury family member enjoyed walking along the countyside property and curling up near the fireplace. Im looking forward to planning the next stay but definitely for a longer time so we could enjoy it more.

An excellent week relaxing, exploring Yosemite, and avoiding family and work for Thanksgiving. A very comfortable cabin with the amenities you would expect. Our only issues were with the dishwasher, which has seen better days, and the timer for the fireplace which makes a loud "ticking" noise - somewhat replacing any feeling of coziness with a feeling of impending doom. When our dog uncharacteristically destroyed a blanket the owner was very responsive and friendly- and we reached an agreement that seemed very fair. More positively, we really appreciated the convenience of the Level 2 car charger for our EV, and the novelty of the observatory - if the beauty of the surrounding area isn't enough, then seeing Saturn and Jupiter "up close" made our stay extra memorable.

For stargazers, this is a wonderful location. Light pollution is non-existent. Most of our stargazing has been done while camping. This time, once we were finished, we could retreat indoors, enjoy a fireplace, indoor plumbing, and a nice soft warm bed with no mosquitos lurking to bite us. The telescope is worthy of the most fervent astronomy club. Better actually but my husband and I are amateurs. The night skies were intermittently cloudy during our stay which limited our viewing time. Any time we had questions, Mike, the owner was always prompt in getting back to us as was Mykayla of housekeeping. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Property is remote and very quiet. You could hear coyotes at night. Outside vegetation was very dry, not like shown in picture. Inside was OK, I guess. Wifi worked great. Fireplace was very nice and easy to use. DVD remote did not work at all. Only two very thin towels were available (yes, I did look in dryer and upstairs as instructed). Kitchen wasn't stocked very well. 2 wine glasses, 2 forks, etc. Owner did say to contact him with any concerns. I just don't feel I should have to do that. I'm on vacation, not in charge of quality control. The owner should know what is available in the home. That being said if you are looking for a place that is remote, takes dogs and don't mind these inconveniences, you may like this place. Owner was very responsive to questions and booking was easy.

Beautiful property out in the country. The observatory was an added bonus. There was a meteor shower the first night and my husband was lucky enough to see a meteor through the telescope! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Loved sitting on the porch. It was so peaceful. The home had everything you would ever need. Also it had a warm and cozy vibe. This was our first time there abs hope to be back next year!

Many rental properties offer a nice structure, with maybe a small yard to get your outside fix. This location combines both an incredible recent build and a spacious outdoor area, fit for even the saviest of nature enthusiasts. Neighboring uninvasive cows are a delight to see off the porch in the morning. Add to the mix a COMMERCIAL SIZED telescope, just steps from the front door, complete with a massive conrcete base and interchangeable eye pieces. The instument rivals institutional models in its grandeur. The house has that flavor of an owner who knows how to clean; and you get that "immaculate" feeling immediately upon entering the structure. The build looks deceptively small from the outside, but upon entry, the high ceilings and cleverly architectured 2nd floor is impressive. The extra large capacity washer was a personal favorite. Thick stitched quilts, an endless amount of pots & pans to cook with, commercial grade window blinds, a huge freezer/refrigerator, and an outdoor deck built with superior quality, encompass just a few of the amazing and cozy amenities that are found in this exceptionally clean house. Hidden gems are the glass sky lights in the living room, precisely placed high up on the walls, that leak in movie-like beams of suns rays that turn the indoor vibe into something magical during sunrise.

We were able to check-in early which was very much appreciated. The property itself is nice and private. The house needs a good cleaning. The floors had dirt, crumbs, & hair everywhere. I actually had to sweep because there was so much. The toilets all had hair around the rim/seat and bottom. I sat on the couch 1 time, when i did sit down there were crumbs all over it. I always check the windows to see if locked and every single window was unlocked and one was left partially up. I was happy with the location of the property but not the overall cleanliness. We ended up leaving a day early to stay in a hotel.

The cabin was very clean upon arrival. Check in was very simple. The location was perfect if you are visiting Yosemite. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies to make food. The telescope was very cool, we cant wait to go back during a full moon. Even young kids (5, 2, infant) had fun and were safe while in the cabin.The host was amazing at answering questions in a very quick manner. We enjoyed it so much that we even added an additional night so we could stay longer. We would recommend it to anyone going to the area and needing someplace yo stay.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in diesem Ferienhaus. Die Lage ist einmalig. Auf der Veranda hörte man abends Kojoten heulen und konnte den Sternenhimmel beobachten. Zudem recht nah an Mariposa gelegen - und damit an Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeien und dem Eingang zum Yosemite NP. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr gut. Lediglich die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig. Es gab einige Haare im Bett und in der Dusche.

This is our 3rd stay every time this place is full of tranquility peace & nature sounds all day very nice to have coffee in the mornings take a hike allot squirrels moss pine cones very majestic place bbq grill and fire pit available for night time smores and bbq. Loved everything about this place. The cottage was very cozy, but still big enough to not feel suffocated. The outside was lovely and a joy to explore. Really enjoyed the telescope as well. Proximity to Yosemite was also pretty great, took us a litlte under an hour to get there. I'm keeping this property as one of my favorites because I'll definitely be returning.

Lovely cabin close to Mariposa and Yosemite. Very comfortable furnishings and bed with well equipped kitchen. Relaxing front porch with ample chairs. A telescope to look at the dark sky was a fun addition. Would stay again.

We stayed in the 2 story cabin and it was beautiful inside and out. It has great space for the 4 of us and a lot of area inside and out.Since it was raining a couple of the nights, it was nice to take a warm beverage outside to sit and listen to the frogs and rain. We all loved it!

Location was great. Enough away from town, but close enough to get there in about 15 minutes. About an hour outside Yosemite, so it made our stay great. The stairs inside were quite steep and the wood floors were kinda slick for dogs and maybe the elderly. I would recommend this property.

The setting and cabin are great. Communication is excellent without being intrusive. Kitchen has all you need. Bed in the upstairs is comfortable. It would be a grwat spot if you needed a week or so to...write a book, soul search, finish a project. It just had that kind of feel. It was the perfect launching/landing pad for our Yosemite day.

This place was amazing. It was the perfect size for our small family and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for us by being in the country but still close to the best attractions in the area. Listening to the wild turkeys gobbling in the morning was a bonus. We are very happy we picked this property.

This cabin is perfect for all your needs. The house was very very clean (one of the cleanest rentals I have ever stayed in). Mike was great to communicate with. Images describe place perfectly. 10/10 recommend a stay here!

For stargazers, this is a wonderful location. Light pollution is non-existent. Most of our stargazing has been done while camping. This time, once we were finished, we could retreat indoors, enjoy a fireplace, indoor plumbing, and a nice soft warm bed with no mosquitos lurking to bite us. The telescope is worthy of the most fervent astronomy club. Better actually but my husband and I are amateurs. The night skies were intermittently cloudy during our stay which limited our viewing time. Any time we had questions, Mike, the owner was always prompt in getting back to us as was Mykayla of housekeeping. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

The location is nice and quiet, away from the busy city life. The night sky here is perfect to star gaze especially with a small observatory with a telescope to see the stars. Mike, the host, is easy to contact and keep in touch with when you need anything or have any questions. The house is cozy and well maintained. My family of five, plus our two dogs, stayed at this property for the weekend. It's SO nice! We really enjoyed our time there & our dogs loved running around the grassy fields. The cabin is very clean, well stocked, has dish TV for evenings and a very warm gas stove for night time heating. As for location, I only gave it a 4/5 stars only because there isn't a lot of stuff nearby to do, so just plan on some drive time if you want to do daytime activities (35 min from Yosemite). But for this trip, that's exactly what we wanted was somewhere quiet and peaceful. We loved it.

Nice place with a short drive into Mariposa. Enjoyed sitting on the porch and hearing owls and coyotes during the night. Comfortable seating and bedding. The 45 minute drive into Yosemite was not difficult.

We loved our stay at the Trabucco Gardens. It was quiet and cozy, but close enough to food, coffee and civilization. I only wish we had booked a longer stay. We will definitely be back!

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in diesem Ferienhaus. Die Lage ist einmalig. Auf der Veranda hörte man abends Kojoten heulen und konnte den Sternenhimmel beobachten. Zudem recht nah an Mariposa gelegen - und damit an Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeien und dem Eingang zum Yosemite NP. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr gut. Lediglich die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig. Es gab einige Haare im Bett und in der Dusche.

Location was great. Enough away from town, but close enough to get there in about 15 minutes. About an hour outside Yosemite, so it made our stay great. The stairs inside were quite steep and the wood floors were kinda slick for dogs and maybe the elderly. I would recommend this property.

I spent Christmas week with my family and enjoyed the stay. All features were available as listed, and the cabin was very well-maintained. Views from the cabin were spectacular, offering serenity and moments for reflection. The host was very responsive throughout the stay. The location is within an hour drive to Yosemite National Park, so we enjoyed multiple visits there. I highly recommend the cabin. Though not excessive, the livingroom area was bit chilly outside gas-powered heater's operational hours due to central heater's max temperature limit.

This place was amazing. It was the perfect size for our small family and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for us by being in the country but still close to the best attractions in the area. Listening to the wild turkeys gobbling in the morning was a bonus. We are very happy we picked this property.

Overall I gave this 5 stars because it's worth it. I did have two small complaints. First the upstairs bed. It was not comfortable. We went and purchased a mattress topper and left it on site in hopes that the next guest won't have to have as bad a nights sleep as we did. Second and slightly more annoying was that the ac was locked to a minimum of 73 degrees in the main house. The owner did provide additional cooling upstairs and that worked great when sleeping. And to be fair 73 with the fan blowing wasn't unbearable. The main issue is that it would reset itself every 4 or 6 hours to 80 degrees. That's fine if you're gone however we stayed in a day with allergies and it took a bit to understand what was happening. I never reached out to the owner about this as I understood why he had it set up that way once we discovered ot. Overall it was a wonderful place. Quiet and relaxing. Not getting to try the telescope being my only regret.

Beautiful property, only 15 minutes from town, lovely little cabin with a really unique layout. The porch is great for sitting, sipping, and basking in the quiet. Far enough away from things for the stars to really pop! Only critique is if you like to cook, the cookware is all teflon and I recommend BYO chefs knife/cutting board.
