Cocoon City Hostel

Mycket mysigt ställe med härlig vibe. Rent och nära busstationen samt den mysiga stranden Nea Chora.

Ayant séjourné dans nombreuses auberges, celle-ci est certainement la meilleure de toutes celles que j’ai connues. Elle est d’une très bonne qualité pour un prix très abordable. Le bâtiment avait l’air neuf, et est très bien entretenu. J’aimerais mentionner spécialement le personnel de nettoyage qui nettoie l’enceinte plusieurs fois par jour! Les parties communes sont très agréables et bien pensés. Il y a tout ce qu’il faut dans la cuisine, même un lave-vaisselle ! Ça c’est vraiment un plus! Pareil, les sanitaires du pallier sont propres et spacieux. J’ajouterai peut-être plus d’accroches pour mettre les serviettes ou vêtements afin d’éviter de les prendre sous la douche avec nous. Mais c’est un détail. La piscine est également propre et c’est toujours agréable d’avoir une piscine à disposition même si elle est petite. La literie est correcte. Tout est à proximité et peut se faire à pieds : la vieille ville a moins de 10 minutes, les commerces à quelques pas, la plage à 10-15 minutes. Le seul vrai bémol c’est le manque d’intimité dans les chambres communes. Un petit rideau au niveau de chaque lit ne serai pas de refus. De manière générale, je recommande vivement cet auberge si vous voulez séjourner à La Cannée, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés.

The hostel itself is nice, and the women’s room and facilities were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk really affected my stay. While I was out sightseeing, I lost my room key card. When I returned, the woman at the front desk made me feel as though this was a major inconvenience and seemed very bothered by having to help me. She manually let me into my room, but I was then left without a key card for more than a day, which meant I couldn’t independently access the room I was paying to stay in. When I returned to the desk the following day, a different staff member was able to make me a replacement card very easily, which made the previous interaction even more frustrating. I ultimately decided to leave a day early. I realized I needed quieter sleeping conditions than a hostel could provide, but the key-card experience and the way it was handled also left me feeling uncomfortable and really threw off my stay. This was my first hostel experience, and while the facility itself was perfectly nice, unfortunately it will also likely be my last.

I had a lovely stay here! Check in and out was easy, the staff was super friendly. The hostels is located locally and near the main bus stop. The common areas are kept clean, the room was clean and the locker worked perfectly. You can also rent towels for cheap. The bathrooms are divided men/female. My only note was that the showers floded the bathroom a bit, otherwise it was great! They even have a pool for those extra hot lazy days!
