Luxembourg Apartment

Nice apt in a quiet neighborhood close to Jardin du Luxembourg. Clean and relatively well equipped although it could use a few more wine glasses and a better bread knife. Would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. The host was very accommodating- she let us check in earlier than scheduled since we came in early. It’s in a nice location, a walk away to Luxembourg garden. Thanks for the great memories!

We arrived on a Saturday morning and the building was shrouded in scaffolding; our 2d floor living room windows were covered with paper, the room dark and gloomy, a layer of dust on the furniture. Outside our windows was the workers’ staging area for ongoing stonework repair to the building’s facade. At 8 a.m. on Monday, hammering and drilling began. The noise was unrelenting until 5 pm every day, rendering the beds in the living room useless. It was impossible to sleep in, and we couldn’t be in the apartment during the day. We contacted VRBO, which, after over an hour on the phone and seeing photographs of the construction, informed us that because the work was outside the apartment, they would not offer us any assistance. The owner was completely dismissive of our predicament. While he had no control over the work being done, he knew that it would be happening well in advance of our stay and chose not tell us. He should have disclosed the state of the apartment upon booking to allow us to decide whether we wanted to live in an ongoing construction site for 10 days. Very dishonest. In addition, we called to report a problem with the bathroom sink drain backing up and received no answer or repair. The beds were uncomfortable, and there were no drawers or anywhere to store non-hanging clothing. The floors creaked so loudly if oneis a light sleeper, the noise would wake you. Although the pictures look beautiful, it's not comfortable or welcoming. Very disappointing.

This apartment is absolutely delightful, decorated with wonderful prints, filled with book cases - one feels as if transported to the 19th century home of a French intellectual. Meanwhile, the location is convenient to many different bus lines that took us easily everywhere we wanted to go. We loved it. My friend and I each had our separate rooms- the spaciousness of the apartment provided us each with privacy. I can’t recommend this charming apartment too highly!

La vacanza è iniziata male. A causa dell\'annullamento del volo siamo arrivati con 5 ore di ritardo e nonostante avessimo scritto x avvisare sembra che i msg non siano arrivati e siamo stati costretti a pagare ( cash) 80 euro di "penale" ( ne avevano chiesti 100), evento non indicato sul sito. A parte questo , che non è poco, il posto è comodo carino e ben servito.
