This was my 2nd stay at Jazz Corner, this time for a planned 7 nights for the Avalon Airshow. Problems included: * Was told I had to take two lifts to get to my room. Later in my stay I found a far easier way to get there via one lift. * Key didn't work first time I went to my room, had to take the two lifts back down with all my luggage, no apologies offered, just a shrug and a quick key re-program. * Had an unknown 'beep' every 60 secs in my room on afternoon of day 2, I told reception as I went out for the evening, got back around 9pm and it was still there. Was told maintenance had gone home and hotel was full so I couldn't move rooms. No solution offered, just two drink vouchers. I had two hours sleep that night! * Beep was still there the next afternoon, spoke to FO Mgr who eventually diagnosed it as the dishwasher beeping. FO Mgr offered free parking for just one night as compensation! * Reception entered my room without knocking as I was watching TV on day 2. I asked about it, and they apologised saying they were showing a room to a potential guest and hadn't checked if it was vacant. No service recovery offered. This is dreadful! * Parking is terrible - space wasn't guaranteed, $40/night & had to pay for it immediately, couldn't be added to my account. * I checked out a day early but, despite all of the above, I was charged for the seventh night anyway.

Great hotel in a convenient spot in Melbourne. Spacious room with a very comfortable king sized bed. Trams right outside the front door so easy access to everything Melbourne has to offer. The fact that there is a great jazz club in the basement of the hotel is an added bonus!

Very convenient for Southern Cross. Lots of interesting eateries nearby. Good transport links. Friendly staff. Balcony was smaller than expected and only having one working lift was a bit frustrating.

Nice central place to stay. Warm and friendly staff. The elevators are a bit tricky to navigate. This is a hotel that has long term residents with pets.

Upon arrival no information was given in regards to parking or breakfast or how to get up to the rooms. The process was inconvenient to get to the room, up 2 different sets of elevators and if you go down to the ground on a different evelator you end up in a different hotel. The toilet buttons were broken and unable to flush it unless you poke something into it, toilet roll was also broken. 1 fork in the draw, bent knife, broken iron that sprayed water all over my dress and an open half drunk milk in the fridge. Staff were unenthusiastic and not very helpful.

Quite pleased that there was drinking chocolate provided in the kitchen of our room, aside from the usual tea and coffee. Loved also that there was a washing machine in our room. Disliked the part where, when taking the lift to our floor, we had to get off at level 3A, then change to another lift to get to our floor... that was a bit inconvenient.

I sleep here on Saturday night. They didn't have parking available (I called 2 days before to ask for a parking available). I just park on the corner for 20$less, hotel have parking price in 40$. Rooms are really good and clean. Good bed, kitchen, fridge, watching machine and dryer, microwave. The service was really bad. I asked for 2 drinks (beers) to the room and after 30 min never arrived (already paid it). We called and they send (after we sent an email with prove about the invoice) the beers and were really hot, we have to call again and they just send ice. The ubication is good, but for price and service probably I will stay in other place.

I was very disappointed to find that my mattress was very soiled and yellow, there was not mattress protector. I notified the reception at 11.30pm and they were kind enough to upgrade me into a better suite. Unfortunately the shock of the mattress did impact my overall experience. Moving rooms wasn't what I liked on my first night, exhausted etc. The location I could not fault, it was walking distance, 1 min to trams, 10 minutes from major shopping outlet etc. Very good location. I didn't find the hotel very special in any way, it was just very plain. The breakfast was only things like cereal, sliced bread, some fruit, some juice, tea & coffee. Bacon and eggs, cuppaccino was optional at a price. So the breakfast did not appeal to me. I wouldn't choose this hotel again, it wasn't my cup of tea

パーク側7階でしたが、静かで眺めが良く一週間気持ち良く過ごせました。大きな市場が近いのでミニキッチン、オーブン、レンジ、食洗機が役立ちました。洗濯機も部屋にあるので便利。気になった点は、グラスと食器が最低限しかないこと、ルームクリーニングが無料だと滞在中1回だけなこと。また利用したいと思います。

Unfortunately crumbs and toe nail clippings were in the sheets I slept in. Also a normal sheet instead of a fitted sheet on the bed, which made it uncomfortable. Everything else was great, although taking multiple elevators took some getting used to

Hotel is in a great location and was very clean. Their luggage holding service was also secure. It has got a unique layout sharing some spaces with the hotel next door which means you need to change elevators, and the smell of their cleaning product or whatever is sprayed in the hallways is overwhelming. Overall worth it to stay but also worth knowing before you book.

Glad they have organised a room with nice view for my long stay. House keeping need to improve on it's quality, many time floor towel forgotten after removed. Bedsheets should have replaced at least every 2 days and floor vacuum.

Not having a 'physical' credit card on me was a huge ordeal at both check in and check out. No mention anywhere of it being required upon check in to take a deposit for 'incidentals' Hallways and room were absolutely SATURATED with air freshener the whole time, it was pungent. Room was fine, hotel in good location. Was fine overall i guess, the issues at check in and out left a bad taste in my mouth.

Bed was excellent, room was quiet, but the room was very dark. We were there for a week but there was no possibility to vacuum our room. The shower was impossible to regulate - too hot or too cold, and even more so at peak times. But on the whole a very comfy place, central and the staff were helpful and friendly, and that matters a lot to me.

Pros: Comfortable room, good facilities eg washer-drier very quiet so I could use it overnight. Staff on the front desk always very friendly and helpful, whatever time of day or night it was. Excellent location for the trams and for the street market and I could walk most places in the CBD if I felt like it. Cons: The roadworks outside made it difficult to get an Uber when needed and I went for breakfast at their own restaurant as advertised at the desk and in the room ONCE... Very disappointing to arrive early and find the hot food already cold. Go somewhere else for breakfast. But for a room in Melbourne CBD I thoroughly recommend Jazz Corner.

The room was clean, we didn’t get much info about what was provided inside the hotel. The view is really nice, the room pretty quiet. But it’s getting old and the bed is terrible, really really soft

Convenient to free City Circle Tram and the Flagstaff bus & rail service. Secure access into building. Woolworth's nearby. Numerous dining options. Good location within CBD. One time mini bar/snacks were free. No pots, pans, cutting board, cutting knife, and the like. You had to check them out at the front desk! Mini frig is better described as a micro frig. No drawers for clothes, we had to store them in the kitchen shelves.

Oct. 2024. We stayed 4 nights. The property feels like a condo project that didn't work out. The rooms all have washer/dryers and kitchens with gas oven/cooktop. Seem to have been built to sell not rent. Room was reasonably sized, like a studio apt. would be. We were on the 32nd floor, with a nice balcony view over Melbourne. Although the rooms have kitchens, there are NO pots/pans/cooking utensils. Very basic eating utensils plus plates and cups etc. Weird.Not sure how you use the stove without pots. We called down and asked for a small pot and a salad bowl. We received the bowl. Good location..a few minute walk to Queen Vic market. 15-20 min. walk to the water. It is just inside the free tram zone so you can ride the trams for free towards the tourist area (and back).

Seem to have been built to sell not rent. Room was reasonably sized, like a studio apt. would be. We were on the 32nd floor, with a nice balcony view over Melbourne. Although the rooms have kitchens, there are NO pots/pans/cooking utensils. Very basic eating utensils plus plates and cups etc. Weird.Not sure how you use the stove without pots. We called down and asked for a small pot and a salad bowl. We received the bowl. Good location..a few minute walk to Queen Vic market. 15-20 min. walk to the water. It is just inside the free tram zone so you can ride the trams for free towards the tourist area (and back).

This was my 2nd stay at Jazz Corner, this time for a planned 7 nights for the Avalon Airshow. Problems included: * Was told I had to take two lifts to get to my room. Later in my stay I found a far easier way to get there via one lift. * Key didn't work first time I went to my room, had to take the two lifts back down with all my luggage, no apologies offered, just a shrug and a quick key re-program. * Had an unknown 'beep' every 60 secs in my room on afternoon of day 2, I told reception as I went out for the evening, got back around 9pm and it was still there. Was told maintenance had gone home and hotel was full so I couldn't move rooms. No solution offered, just two drink vouchers. I had two hours sleep that night! * Beep was still there the next afternoon, spoke to FO Mgr who eventually diagnosed it as the dishwasher beeping. FO Mgr offered free parking for just one night as compensation! * Reception entered my room without knocking as I was watching TV on day 2. I asked about it, and they apologised saying they were showing a room to a potential guest and hadn't checked if it was vacant. No service recovery offered. This is dreadful! * Parking is terrible - space wasn't guaranteed, $40/night & had to pay for it immediately, couldn't be added to my account. * I checked out a day early but, despite all of the above, I was charged for the seventh night anyway.

Reception staff need to learn how to use their computer programs. We were told we had not paid for our 4 night stay. I was able to show the reception male the receipt sent from Hotels.com but he would take no notice of me. When his female partner receptionist returned was able to advise him yes we had indeed paid.

Overall experience was good. There were issues during checkin as in spite of arriving an hour later than check in time, our room was not ready. Initially we got very cold answers regarding that. When we raised the issue and mentioned that this delay is causing our plan cancelation, we were offered a temporary room till our booked room was being prepared.

I sleep here on Saturday night. They didn't have parking available (I called 2 days before to ask for a parking available). I just park on the corner for 20$less, hotel have parking price in 40$. Rooms are really good and clean. Good bed, kitchen, fridge, watching machine and dryer, microwave. The service was really bad. I asked for 2 drinks (beers) to the room and after 30 min never arrived (already paid it). We called and they send (after we sent an email with prove about the invoice) the beers and were really hot, we have to call again and they just send ice. The ubication is good, but for price and service probably I will stay in other place.

The location is absolutely great with Queen victoria market on a walking distance and rest of the Melbourne central easily accessible with tram stops next to the hotel. (And the best part is that the tram stops are within the free tram zone.) The room was spacious and the washer/drier was great to have. We also had a great view to the Flagstaff gardens (and the new years eve fireworks!) The room was in pretty good shape but there was things that could do some touch up. Dishwasher left dishes a bit dirty on occasion and there could have been somekind of info of the hotel practises (like, where to take the trashes. Only info was for the washing machine and that was obviously for some other model) All in all we had a really nice stay at the hotel and reception staff was really friendly and helpful.

The property is so close to transport and within walking distance of eateries and the shopping mall. The free tram is just round the corner. We stayed there for 5 nights and will definitely go there again.

I really enjoyed my stay in Melbourne this weekend, many thanks to the staff who welcomed me very late at night and also gave me a room with an unbeatable view of the city. If I return to Melbourne, I will most likely return to this hotel, which has a very convenient location.

This is our third or fourth stay at this hotel over 6 years or so and we feel it has lost its vibe a bit. Cursory nod to the theme and the room feels more bog standard corporate than it used to . Very clean and functional- but our bed was incredibly soft- ok for 3 nights but terrible for any longer . The tram stop is right there and it’s a quick walk to the markets.

Having the large gardens across the road was great for giving a feeling of space rather than staring straight into another high rise. Tram stop right outside made it easy to get anywhere. It is also easy walking distance to the whole of the central cbd. Some great dining options nearby too.

Very nice! Stayed in a lovely 2-bedroom apartment with fantastic views of the city. Well located, with a tram stop round the corner. Breakfast was good too - fairly basic but perfectly adequate. All in all we had a great stay - thank you to all at Avani Jazz Corner!

My Wife and I had a great stay! Amazing service & comfortable room with plenty of amenities. The ground floor cocktail bar serves high quality cocktails & food. We were impressed with the freshness of the calamari & loved our cocktails & bar service. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Melbourne. Thanks for a great time!

Location was convenient and the room nicely presented, a good size and comfortable. One selling point for me when booking this hotel was the buffet breakfast in the Mezzanine cafe, having eaten there before and thoroughly enjoyed it, unfortunately though I found out during this stay that the cafe has since closed down - despite it still being used in promotion for the Jazz Hotel. Fortunately we weren’t far from other cafes, but I’m deducting points due to the disappointment

The Jazz Corner Hotel provided a very enjoyable stay. It is in a very good location near the free tram service to tour the city. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, modern and has very comfortable beds. The breakfast was excellent! Definitely recommend staying there!!

Tried to request Room service only to be told it wasnt available. We were planning a night in after a hectic day and was given some strange story about it not being available. Why wasnt it possible to post an announcement at the foyer desk for all to see? That cant have been too hard. Disappointed after staying here numerous times in the past.

Pros: Comfortable room, good facilities eg washer-drier very quiet so I could use it overnight. Staff on the front desk always very friendly and helpful, whatever time of day or night it was. Excellent location for the trams and for the street market and I could walk most places in the CBD if I felt like it. Cons: The roadworks outside made it difficult to get an Uber when needed and I went for breakfast at their own restaurant as advertised at the desk and in the room ONCE... Very disappointing to arrive early and find the hot food already cold. Go somewhere else for breakfast. But for a room in Melbourne CBD I thoroughly recommend Jazz Corner.

We loved the Jazz Corner, except for the elevator, which was not working properly. Good free continental breakfast, close to the famous market, and washer and dryer in the room. Staff were so accommodating and friendly and, unexpectedly were on duty 24 hours. Also, we did not get the 2 double beds we had requested.

Had the wrost experience. We got checked in at 3pm because the room was not ready. We got a smaller room because the room that we booked was not available? After arguing they gave us the room that we booked later in the evening so we had to repack and move the room. The apps on the TV room where not working. Non of the maintenance staff speaks English? Absolutely a nightmare. I would sincerely like to have a refund for my accommodation.
