Rooms are open to the outside, so security marginal. The bathrooms were showing a lot of wear and there were hairs in the bathroom shower when we got there. TV remote battery was low and had to manually operate it. Carpet felt dirty and room was very dark. Not very impressive and glad it was only for one night.

Everything was OK except the Ice Machine did not work and 90 degree heat!!! I got out of Town right before the levee broke.

Average hotel. A bit expensive for what was offered. No pool. Clean, nothing spectacular.

The card system to get in the room sucks. Hard to keep the key from not working?

The place was okay and felt clean and comfortable in general. The room was tidy and included a nice TV, a Microwave and Refrigerator, an Iron with Ironing Board, and a Hair Dryer, plus WiFi access (which had issues). The bed was ample and comfortable but there were no spare blankets. The "breakfast included" was merely Hot Cereal Packets handed to you over the counter at check-in, along with Fruit Cups and Cereal Bars (which we had to retrieve on a daily basis). There were a couple of Coffee packets provided along with a Napkin, Sugar, Creamer packet, but not much else. No Tea or Cocoa. There was a separate room that had Ice and a Vending Machine for Soft Drinks. The other guest amenities in the room were limited, offering only two small packets of Shampoo/Conditioner plus a couple of small bars of Soap. There was no Lotion provided. The towels were on the small side and a bit rough but were clean. There was no toilet plunger in the bathroom. The radiator was a bit noisy but worked satisfactorily. For the price, it was adequately accommodating, but I\'m not sure we would return here in the future.

The sink was partially clogged so the water would back up and the bathtub should probably be replaced. The area around the motel was very dark and not lit very well.

Didn't like that they advertise that they have free breakfast, but all they offer is a granola bar. This is a snack not breakfast. Also, Ice machine has been broken for quite a while now. it was broken the last time I stayed which was 2 or 3 stays ago.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! There were holes in the shower, stains on all of the bedding, I was told housekeeping was off for the weekend, the furniture and bedding had holes, and an adjoining room was complaining about bugs. I spoke with the manager and let him know I was uncomfortable staying there and requested a refund and he screamed at me. He called me greedy and refused to refund my stay. I was traveling for a funeral and exhausted upon arrival. I paid and still chose to leave the room and stay elsewhere due to being uncomfortable and fear of retaliation from the manager.

The first room they gave us smelled like an ashtray. We went back to the office and they gave us another room. That room smelled moldy. The whole place seemed rundown. The rooms felt dirty and musty even though they may have tried with new carpet and bedding. We asked for our money back and went to another hotel.

The room was clean, but very basic. The carpeting was wet and the tile floor in the bathroom was moist. The beds were comfortable, and the room was spacious and comfortable.

Out dated but a nice place.

Spencer Inn and Suites was very very clean. The room for being a king size room was huge. The shower felt amazing. It was nice and quiet. Our room was on the first floor so we didn’t have to walk up stairs. The staff was super friendly too between the gal who checked us in and the guy who helped us get into our room after getting locked out. I like how it was centrally located. Would definitely stay again!!

Nicely decorated rooms, older hotel but taken car off.

The pictures are deceiving. In my room with two double beds, there was only floor space in front of the windows ... no small table; no comfortable chair or table chairs, just carpeting. At midnight, I had to go outside to ask the people playing corn hole in front of my room to wrap it up soon so that I could try to go to sleep without the noise from their game.

The bed was comfy, good breakfast, friendly staff. We would stay here again!!

The service was amazing. They fixed anything that was wrong and did what they said they would. We would stay there again.

The toilet didn't work, howe, was fixed upon first call. Spider was at home in the bathtub. They did let me check in early as my room was cleaned.

Easy to locate right on main highway.

Check in easy & efficient..staff friendly & helpful…room clean & nicely decorated.. Smelled nice! No chemical overspray… Just across driveway from excellent breakfast cafe!!! And across other driveway from a fabulous steakhouse..and across highway from mall!!!

Older Motel, but clean and friendly. Walking distance to a nice Steak House and bar. Close to main drags

Was very quiet I so enjoyed that. Bed was comfy and slept well. We have stayed there every year for 3 years on Memorial weekend and it’s at a good location.

So looks like Google suggests some talking points. I can tell you that this is situated right off the main highway. So great access to highways. It's about 5 minutes away from a mega HiVee grocery store. The Strip house steak house is with in 2 minutes walking distance. A Walmart it just about 5 minutes or less walking 🚶‍♂️. In the strip mall next to Walmart are some restaurants. Also up main street you will find a Walgreens, local churches, Farway Grocery store. Plus you are very near several fast food restaurants such as McDonald's, and convince stores with gas stations

Nice easy area

Easy location to commute to Okoboji. Clean, and comfortable room. Zero complaints, however could have better shampoo and conditioner.

Friendly staff, clean room, good hot and cold breakfast (eggs, biscuits & gravy, waffles, cereal, drinks, etc), multiple food places close for supper, Walmart and other such stores close also. Would definitely stay here again for the location, comfort, and price of our room.

This is a very comfortable place to stay…comfortable beds, handy to breakfast cafe, & a fabulous coffee drive thru in the parking lot across hwy 18!! A great prime steakhouse within 1/2 blk! South T is the place to be…

Nice room with mini fridge, microwave, TV, coffee pot, iron and hair dryer. Included daily breakfast 7-10am. They served biscuits and gravy, waffles, toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit cup, oatmeal, eggs, coffee, tea, juice, hot chocolate. Room also had a vanity and small table.

Despite what the listing shows, this hotel does NOT have breakfast of any kind. Very firm mattresses, surprisingly we all had a good nights sleep. Decent room.

We had a surprisingly nice stay. The breakfast was unexpectedly diverse and tasty. I wish the room layout was different. The bed was up against the HVAC unit so the cold air blew on my side of the bed. I would suggest to swap the bed and table and chair. Still a good value though.
