We stayed here in June. The large family suite with bunk beds was very comfortable and the staff was very diligent about replacing towels which was really appreciated. The room was supposed to be seafront but in reality we were looking at trees blocking the view. The beach is great IF not windy. We had a few days where the wind meant no swimming at the beach was allowed. No big deal but something to be aware of. Mezze and Mouries restaurant had great food. The breakfast options are also great. The Italian restaurant was our least favorite, with some of the food lacking flavor, but the view overlooking the beach is special. It was a bit frustrating that the Beach Shack was closed for food on Sunday but the food was good when open. There were always chairs on the beach. We were there for over a week and the kids requested to try kids club and enjoyed it. It was very well staffed (6 staff for 3 kids) so they clearly enjoyed the attention. Cons: wish it was possible to order drinks poolside. We were coming from the States and in hindsight, Malia is a bit far to visit some of the best beaches on Crete. We chose it because it was close to Palace of Knossos and the archeology museum but we ended up spending a night in Chania to go to Elofonisi bc it’s too far for a day trip. The hotel app was not particularly useful. Everytime I tried to make a reservation for dinner I got an error. On the plus side, I called the hotel to make the reservations and always got what we wanted.

When we arrived the service was great. Hotel was amazing the room was exactly the one I booked. Food was great in the restaurants but the prices are ridiculous.. I mean is this a Michelin star chicken wrap or what!? Either way it was great. The only thing that’s really annoying is that the hotel clearly says you cannot leave your swim towels on the beds to “claim” them. However people did this every morning. By 9am the poolside beds are taken … even though you can’t see anyone there, they all have towels on them. I guess people wake up and leave their towels and bags to claim the spot and then they go for breakfast. Hotel staff does nothing about this. In addition the riverside pool, ALL the beds by that pool are reserved for people that are staying in the bigger properties. Now this is really unfair. This means we cannot lay on those beds as someone can come at anytime and claim it.. so really how can I use any pool?? If this is the case the main pool should be reserved for people staying on that side of the hotel. But no, people have the riverside pool beds reserved but they also come to the main pool and take the beds… honestly it’s really annoying. We paid just as much but it seems that families have priority here. Upon leaving the service was very disappointing. There was staff I did not recognise but she seemed mad that I needed a transfer to the airport and no one said bye or the usual things hotel staff says during checkout. Her attitude was off.

We had an absolutely great time at the hotel, the staff was very welcoming and the hotel facilities perfect, offering everyone the right alternative: with kids at the pool, quiet at the river pool or with some good chill out music by the beach - we’ll come again!

Pros Rooms very nice with everything you need Huge beds Staff very friendly Food and setting at the restaurants lovely (especially Cretan and Italian) Kids play area was nice to have especially on a rainy day Design of property is stunning Cat cafe and organic garden were nice places to potter around Cons/areas for improvement Relatively small for a resort and not much to do around the resort. Bungalow rooms are not actually bungalows - our room was on the first floor Balconies small Pools not heated enough to be a pleasant experience in October (24 degrees outside). Daughter was turning blue! There’s a nice splash pool for toddlers but it’s under trees so coated in tree debris all the time - feels like it should’ve been cleaned out more regularly Menus were all on qr codes in the app but you couldn’t order through the app There was a yoga pavilion so I expected to be able to pop along to yoga classes but they only had private yoga classes on offer. Every other resort I’ve stayed in does free sessions once or twice a day Massage was lovely but availability was very limited so recommend booking in advance. Offers were advertised but not honoured. Seemed to be one “experience” available most days but they were pricey. For example Brad making we’d have paid €200 for two suits and a one year old Similarly we paid €23 for our daughter at the buffet (but she was free the second time) Difficult to get restaurant reservations within a day or two Beach not the nicest

Amazing stay.. amazing hotel.. amazing beach, bar and restaurants..the only major problem is to find a sunbed at the pool or beach as SO many guests gets up very early in the morning to block sunbeds they might want to use later in the day.. the lack of hotel policy and total lack of actions to prevent this will prevent me from booking this hotel again..

This was our second stay at Cretan Malia Park, and once again, it exceeded our expectations. The hotel is on a nice beach, and the grounds include lovely gardens, pools, and various excellent dining options. The lawns and landscaping make the area cooler and was also nice for our child to explore. What stands out about this hotel is its ability to cater to families without compromising on comfort. Our daughter loved spending some time at the Kid's Club every morning, allowing us parents to relax and enjoy the beach or other facilities the hotel offers. We always found lounge chairs at the beach or the pool and didn't have to compete. Although the hotel is large, it has a more boutique feel, so it never felt overcrowded, and we stayed in mid-August. We also appreciated that while the hotel is family-friendly, it doesn't go overboard with flashy attractions like large or noisy water parks/slides or loud/bright discos or kid-themed areas. Everything is done with attention to creating a serene atmosphere for everyone. The daily buffet breakfast and dinner were great, with a changing menu that kept things fresh. The hotel also offers a selection of bars and restaurants for more variety or options. We liked lunch at the Beach Bar, though one suggestion would be more snack options for the beach area. The staff were consistently helpful and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Das Personal war sehr sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Das Abendessen war abwechslungsreich und es war für jeden etwas dabei. Das Frühstück war eintönig und es gab jeden Tag das selbe, was uns aber nicht gestört hat. Das Fitnesstudio hat uns leider sehr enttäuscht, es war ein winziger Raum mit paar Geräten die leider zum Teil verrostet und dreckig waren. Der Pool war leider auch nicht ganz sauber. Ansonsten hat es uns im grossen und ganzen gefallen. Die Gegend war abgelegen, ein Auto wäre sinnvoll wenn man auch was unternehmen möchte.

Struttura bellissima dotata di tutti i comfort in posizione comoda per esplorare i dintorni. Buona l'offerta dei servizi anche se sugli orari c'è qualcosa da rivedere. Inadeguata la pulizia delle camere, bem al di sotto dello standard specie per la categoria di albergo.

Sehr schöne weitläufige Anlage mit guter Auswahl an Restaurants und Bars. Auch ein kleiner Shop ist dabei, wo man alles nötige zu einem guten Preis erhält. Das Personal ist freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Bungalows sind geräumig auch wenn die Badezimmer etwas eng sind. Punktabzug gibt es dafür, dass die Liegen und Tische am Pool zu selten gereinigt wurden

Rocky Beach with broken umbrellas and dirty loungers, tiny gym with broken equipment (you have to book timeslots to secure a space) only limited timeslots available for restaurant reservation. Claustrophobic layout (with beautiful design elements. Food was good and staff friendly but we had to leave early because we found it impossible to relax and the place to crowded. Not your typical design hotel.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Phāea Cretan Hotel in Malia sehr genossen. Bereits bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich mit einem Willkommensdrink empfangen. Eine Mitarbeiterin nahm sich Zeit, uns alle wichtigen Informationen in Ruhe zu erklären. Das gesamte Hotel und auch unser Zimmer machten einen sehr gepflegten und modernen Eindruck. Besonders schön war unser Balkon mit direktem Blick auf den Pool, von dem aus wir abends sogar Livemusik genießen konnten. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und qualitativ hochwertig. Auch die à-la-carte-Restaurants überzeugten geschmacklich, wenngleich die Preise für nicht-All-Inclusive-Gäste etwas zu hoch angesetzt sind. Der Service war insgesamt gut: Das Personal in der Lobby und im Sicherheitsbereich war stets freundlich und professionell. In den Restaurants wirkte das Team gelegentlich weniger motiviert, arbeitete aber dennoch zuverlässig. Die gesamte Anlage war stets sehr sauber, der Pool gepflegt – kleinere Verbesserungen wären bei der Reinigung (z. B. Sand und Insekten) denkbar. Positiv hervorzuheben ist der private Hotelstrand mit bequemen Liegen und Strandbar. Leider war das Baden durch starken Wellengang nicht möglich – dies lag jedoch nicht am Hotel. Ein klarer Kritikpunkt betrifft das Thema Poolliegen: Obwohl es eine Regel gegen das Reservieren mit Handtüchern gibt, wird diese kaum durchgesetzt. Das führte regelmäßig zu Frust und Konflikten unter Gästen – und auch wir mussten am letzten Tag notgedrungen mitmachen.

Wir waren zehn Nächte im Oktober hier (Familie mit zwei Kids, 6 & 8 J.). Die Anlage ist traumhaft schön: flache Bauten, viel Grün, alte Olivenbäume, Palmen, Kakteen, Sandstrand (felsig, aber mit zwei kleine Sand-Buchten für den Zugang ins Meer) – perfekt für Kinder. Auch die Architektur und das entspannte Ambiente draußen machen viel her. Trotzdem erreicht das Hotel den Fünf-Sterne-Anspruch nicht. Es sind viele Kleinigkeiten: abgenutzte Polster, kleine Defekte am Pool, am OutdoorGym oder Anlage. Wenig Aufmerksamkeit beim Service (weniger bestellt - spart uns letztendlich Geld ;-) ). Das Buffet-Restaurant wirkt wie eine Kantine – laut, ungemütlich, wenig Atmosphäre. Im Mouries und Almyra ist der Service herzlicher (Frühstück im Mouries: großartig!) Die Zimmer sind schick, sind aber in den Bädern eng wie bei MotelOne. Nespresso auf Zimmer kostet extra. Kommunikation oft leider eher „geht nicht“ statt „wir finden eine Lösung“. Dazu kam bei mir eine Lebensmittelvergiftung (happens) – professionell reagiert, mit Bedauern, aber ohne Entschuldigung/Geste. Die Lage ist ruhig, aber abgelegen. Ohne Mietwagen geht nichts (Malia selbst lohnt nicht). Trotzdem: Wir hatten eine gute Zeit. Strand, Sonne, Kinder happy – das zählt. Man merkt, wie viel Potenzial hier steckt. Wenn Service, Pflege und Gastfreundschaft im Detail nachgezogen werden, kann dieses Resort großartig sein. Wir hatten das Gefühl die letzten 20% fehlen hier... Sehr gutes Familienhotel, wenn man Kinder hat. Sichere, tolle und grosse Umgebung, sehr schöne Parkanlage und Bepflanzung. Die Nähe zum Meer ist genial mit eigenem Strandabschnitt und Rettungsschwimmer. Das Hotel ist für ein 5 Sterne Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Vor allem die Lüftung im Zimmer hat sehr gemüffelt und es war nicht ordentlich geputzt aber mit Kinder ok. Die Möglichkeiten zum Speisen sind enorm, die Preise jedoch jenseits. Trinkwasser wurde leider nur zum kaufen angeboten, statt wie 5 Sterne Standard pro Tag und pro Person ein Fläschchen. Alles in allem ein sehr gutes bzw. top Hotel aber nicht Hervorragend!

We had a lovely holiday here. The kids club was brilliant, the restaurants were excellent quality food in all the restaurants. Other guests we met on holiday who were half board and eating in the dinner buffet each night loved it. Kids were welcome in the buffet with a kids section that is a bit like school dinners to choose from. The breakfast buffet was brilliant and the hotel’s programme of events and activities are great for families. My two negatives was that the restaurants outside of the buffet, were inflexible for children, which overall made me feel that the hotel would rather you were eating in the buffet restaurant if you are there with kids.. which isn’t for us. We booked bed and breakfast because we enjoy the freedom for our other meals to be in or out of the hotel and restaurant experiences as a family are something we enjoy on holiday. We had some great meals in nearby restaurants that were very welcoming for kids too so if you’re the same, and don’t enjoy hotel buffet dinners, then there’s places to go outside of the resort. And then my only other disappointment was the towels were threadbare and our room wasn’t as clean as I would’ve expected. Overall a 4 star experience. Not the touches you would expect for 5 star. Crete was amazing as ever.

Das Fitnesstudio hat uns leider sehr enttäuscht, es war ein winziger Raum mit paar Geräten die leider zum Teil verrostet und dreckig waren. Der Pool war leider auch nicht ganz sauber. Ansonsten hat es uns im grossen und ganzen gefallen. Die Gegend war abgelegen, ein Auto wäre sinnvoll wenn man auch was unternehmen möchte.

We had a brilliant stay - The facilities are lovely and you couldn't wish for a whole lot more when trying to relax with a young family. Only negative was that we could hear our neighbours through the walls, which wasn't ideal as we both had v small children.

Sehr schöne weitläufige Anlage mit guter Auswahl an Restaurants und Bars. Auch ein kleiner Shop ist dabei, wo man alles nötige zu einem guten Preis erhält. Das Personal ist freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Bungalows sind geräumig auch wenn die Badezimmer etwas eng sind. Punktabzug gibt es dafür, dass die Liegen und Tische am Pool zu selten gereinigt wurden

We stayed here in June. The large family suite with bunk beds was very comfortable and the staff was very diligent about replacing towels which was really appreciated. The room was supposed to be seafront but in reality we were looking at trees blocking the view. The beach is great IF not windy. We had a few days where the wind meant no swimming at the beach was allowed. No big deal but something to be aware of. Mezze and Mouries restaurant had great food. The breakfast options are also great. The Italian restaurant was our least favorite, with some of the food lacking flavor, but the view overlooking the beach is special. It was a bit frustrating that the Beach Shack was closed for food on Sunday but the food was good when open. There were always chairs on the beach. We were there for over a week and the kids requested to try kids club and enjoyed it. It was very well staffed (6 staff for 3 kids) so they clearly enjoyed the attention. Cons: wish it was possible to order drinks poolside. We were coming from the States and in hindsight, Malia is a bit far to visit some of the best beaches on Crete. We chose it because it was close to Palace of Knossos and the archeology museum but we ended up spending a night in Chania to go to Elofonisi bc it’s too far for a day trip. The hotel app was not particularly useful. Everytime I tried to make a reservation for dinner I got an error. On the plus side, I called the hotel to make the reservations and always got what we wanted.

The hotel is lovely. The staff are very friendly but also unhelpful. Concierge recommendations was not very good and very inconsiderate, considering travelling with a nine month old baby. The rooms with a garden has severe bold patches full of mud. Was asked to move room 3 times. We did extend our stay but made to move rooms each time. Beds are like sponge too soft causing back ache. The Signator rooms are much better. Charges £50 for couple hours late check out. Massive positive is the pool is heated.

Daughter was turning blue! There’s a nice splash pool for toddlers but it’s under trees so coated in tree debris all the time - feels like it should’ve been cleaned out more regularly Menus were all on qr codes in the app but you couldn’t order through the app There was a yoga pavilion so I expected to be able to pop along to yoga classes but they only had private yoga classes on offer. Every other resort I’ve stayed in does free sessions once or twice a day Massage was lovely but availability was very limited so recommend booking in advance. Offers were advertised but not honoured. Seemed to be one “experience” available most days but they were pricey. Lovely hotel, main pool quite busy but the private beach was amazing with great beach bar and chilled music. We avoided the buffet and had incredible food at both the Cretan restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the Italian for dinner. Charming staff, just needs a minor rethink in bathroom as shower was narrow due to placement of soap holder. Overall a fantastic experience and would highly recommend and return

Nettes Hotel, schöne Lage, aufmerksames Personal, viele Parkplätze. Das Essen ist gut wenn auch gerade beim Frühstück jeden Tag gleich. Es gibt verschiedene Restaurants für Mittag- und Abendessen, somit hier genügend Abwechslung. All Inclusive lohnt sich nur, wenn man vor hat das Hotel nie zu verlassen, das Essen in den umliegenden Dörfern ist massiv günstiger (und auch besser) bzw das Essen im Hotel ist bei nicht-all-inclusive einfach viel zu teuer…(Mittag/Abends/Snacks/Drinks an der Bar). Das rechnet sich niemals wenn man nicht alle Mahlzeiten sowie Snacks und Drinks ausnahmslos nur im Hotel konsumiert. Die Restaurants fürs Mittagessen sind an gewissen Tagen einfach ohne Information geschlossen, sehe ich die Logik nicht… Die Anlage sowie die Zimmer sind gepflegt und sauber. Das Zimmer nicht sehr geräumig, erfüllt seinen Zweck. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Die Dusche hatte bei uns kaum Druck, man wurde mehr betropft als etwas anderes wohl um Wasser zu sparen was aber nichts bringt wenn man dafür 4x länger unter der Dusche steht um den Sand vom Körper zu bekommen. Es gibt extrem viele Kinder, obwohl das Hotel abgesehen von einem kleinen Kinderhort eigentlich nicht diesen Eindruck erweckt. Ich würde das Hotel Paaren ohne Kinder nicht empfehlen, ansonsten ist es sicherlich gut.

We booked a bungalow in the garden, and found out that they are not bungalows, i.e. small individual houses, but simply a regular room in a 2-floors building... Their ad and website is definitely deceiving. Aside from that, the resort is very nice. Beach is beautiful, sunbeds are largely available across all the resort (although some customers still feel the need to reserve them in the morning!!!). There are lots of family in the resort with young kids, so it can get very noisy and I do not really recommend the hotel for a romantic getaway. It's also remote, so if you want to enjoy Malia village for shopping or dining, this is not the best option. This is why we were disappointed by the various restaurants: food is decent but extremely expensive compared to what we found the rest of our 3 weeks in Crete... Almyra and Mezze were OK, but the Beach Shack is definitely poor...

We had reserved 3 ocean view rooms. There was a mix up in our reservation. They put one of us in different room than what we paid for ocean view room although for one day only. They gave us dining voucher if we ate at the property but would not refund. Our room had AC issues. They did come to room to fix issues at 2 different times but still AC was not functioning.

We stayed here in June. The large family suite with bunk beds was very comfortable and the staff was very diligent about replacing towels which was really appreciated. The room was supposed to be seafront but in reality we were looking at trees blocking the view. The beach is great IF not windy. We had a few days where the wind meant no swimming at the beach was allowed. No big deal but something to be aware of. Mezze and Mouries restaurant had great food. The breakfast options are also great. The Italian restaurant was our least favorite, with some of the food lacking flavor, but the view overlooking the beach is special. It was a bit frustrating that the Beach Shack was closed for food on Sunday but the food was good when open. There were always chairs on the beach. We were there for over a week and the kids requested to try kids club and enjoyed it. It was very well staffed (6 staff for 3 kids) so they clearly enjoyed the attention. Cons: wish it was possible to order drinks poolside. We were coming from the States and in hindsight, Malia is a bit far to visit some of the best beaches on Crete. We chose it because it was close to Palace of Knossos and the archeology museum but we ended up spending a night in Chania to go to Elofonisi bc it’s too far for a day trip. The hotel app was not particularly useful. Everytime I tried to make a reservation for dinner I got an error. On the plus side, I called the hotel to make the reservations and always got what we wanted.

When we arrived the service was great. Hotel was amazing the room was exactly the one I booked. Food was great in the restaurants but the prices are ridiculous.. I mean is this a Michelin star chicken wrap or what!? Either way it was great. The only thing that’s really annoying is that the hotel clearly says you cannot leave your swim towels on the beds to “claim” them. However people did this every morning. By 9am the poolside beds are taken … even though you can’t see anyone there, they all have towels on them. I guess people wake up and leave their towels and bags to claim the spot and then they go for breakfast. Hotel staff does nothing about this. In addition the riverside pool, ALL the beds by that pool are reserved for people that are staying in the bigger properties. Now this is really unfair. This means we cannot lay on those beds as someone can come at anytime and claim it.. so really how can I use any pool?? If this is the case the main pool should be reserved for people staying on that side of the hotel. But no, people have the riverside pool beds reserved but they also come to the main pool and take the beds… honestly it’s really annoying. We paid just as much but it seems that families have priority here. Upon leaving the service was very disappointing. There was staff I did not recognise but she seemed mad that I needed a transfer to the airport and no one said bye or the usual things hotel staff says during checkout. Her attitude was off.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt und können es sehr empfehlen. Ja die Preise vor Hort für Speisen und Getränke sind durchaus hoch, das wäre das einzige , was wir bemängeln könnten. Sowohl das Büffet-Restaurant als auch die a la Carte hatten tolles und qualitativ hochwertiges Essen. Die Anlage ist ein Traum und Service wird groß geschrieben.

This is such a brilliant hotel for young families. It’s a really beautiful place with some lovely restaurants, bars & some cute additions like the gelateria & the little on-site kafenio. The staff are brilliant with kids and they’ve thought of everything you need. Malia isn’t the prettiest area, but parts of the Old Town are charming with some lovely, great value restaurants. My only criticism of this hotel how expensive the restaurant are. We chose not to go half board or all-included but I wish we had – I think it would’ve been much better value overall!

We had a lovely holiday here. The kids club was brilliant, the restaurants were excellent quality food in all the restaurants. Other guests we met on holiday who were half board and eating in the dinner buffet each night loved it. Kids were welcome in the buffet with a kids section that is a bit like school dinners to choose from. The breakfast buffet was brilliant and the hotel’s programme of events and activities are great for families. My two negatives was that the restaurants outside of the buffet, were inflexible for children, which overall made me feel that the hotel would rather you were eating in the buffet restaurant if you are there with kids.. which isn’t for us. We booked bed and breakfast because we enjoy the freedom for our other meals to be in or out of the hotel and restaurant experiences as a family are something we enjoy on holiday. We had some great meals in nearby restaurants that were very welcoming for kids too so if you’re the same, and don’t enjoy hotel buffet dinners, then there’s places to go outside of the resort. And then my only other disappointment was the towels were threadbare and our room wasn’t as clean as I would’ve expected. Overall a 4 star experience. Not the touches you would expect for 5 star. Crete was amazing as ever.

This was our second stay at Cretan Malia Park, and once again, it exceeded our expectations. The hotel is on a nice beach, and the grounds include lovely gardens, pools, and various excellent dining options. The lawns and landscaping make the area cooler and was also nice for our child to explore. What stands out about this hotel is its ability to cater to families without compromising on comfort. Our daughter loved spending some time at the Kid's Club every morning, allowing us parents to relax and enjoy the beach or other facilities the hotel offers. We always found lounge chairs at the beach or the pool and didn't have to compete. Although the hotel is large, it has a more boutique feel, so it never felt overcrowded, and we stayed in mid-August. We also appreciated that while the hotel is family-friendly, it doesn't go overboard with flashy attractions like large or noisy water parks/slides or loud/bright discos or kid-themed areas. Everything is done with attention to creating a serene atmosphere for everyone. The daily buffet breakfast and dinner were great, with a changing menu that kept things fresh. The hotel also offers a selection of bars and restaurants for more variety or options. We liked lunch at the Beach Bar, though one suggestion would be more snack options for the beach area. The staff were consistently helpful and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Wir haben unseren einwöchigen Aufenthalt im Malia Park sehr genossen. Gartenanlage und Gestaltung der Inneneinrichtung sind wirklich toll. Als Ausgangsort zur Erkundung der Mitte und des Ostens von Kreta sehr gut geeignet.

We had a lovely stay with our 2 year old. The property is well kept and staff is excellent. Enough dinner options (included in halfboard is the buffet or a discount in the other restaurants). Pool was great and it felt like a small village. Perfect for a relaxing holiday. The resort is a little outside of the village and we rented a car for a few days to explore part of the island.

Well kept and lovely decor. Nice beach setup. Very big and more suited to families. Don’t think we have ever seen more babies, didn’t bother us but be prepared for a lot of baby strollers. Only disappointment was food. Breakfast buffet is excellent but dinner is at best mediocre. Problem is the restaurants cater to all inclusive guests and a la carte, which in this case meant ok service and disappointing food. Also Malia, the nearby town, is strictly bars and nightclubs, zero charm. Agios Nikalos 30 minutes away much nicer.

Beautiful property with outstanding food. A bit far from anything else in Crete so need to rent a car if you want to do anything else. Excellent as a stand alone resort. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Loved the mix of ages. Very family oriented so not really place to meet others which I had hoped for my own teen.

Loved the mix of ages. Very family oriented so not really place to meet others which I had hoped for my own teen.

Very nice garden and property, large swimming pools, and sunbeds available for all. Rooms are comfortable and nicely designed. The main buffet-restaurant has no charms and feels like a sort of high end canteen... The other restaurants (Mezze, Almyra) are nicer. The beach was a big disappointment, with lots of rocks in the water. We had very windy and wavy days, and it was simply impossible to get in the water on the main beach... The hotel is isolated from Malia. Not much to do around without a car.

We stayed here in June. The large family suite with bunk beds was very comfortable and the staff was very diligent about replacing towels which was really appreciated. The room was supposed to be seafront but in reality we were looking at trees blocking the view. The beach is great IF not windy. We had a few days where the wind meant no swimming at the beach was allowed. No big deal but something to be aware of. Mezze and Mouries restaurant had great food. The breakfast options are also great. The Italian restaurant was our least favorite, with some of the food lacking flavor, but the view overlooking the beach is special. It was a bit frustrating that the Beach Shack was closed for food on Sunday but the food was good when open. There were always chairs on the beach. We were there for over a week and the kids requested to try kids club and enjoyed it. It was very well staffed (6 staff for 3 kids) so they clearly enjoyed the attention. Cons: wish it was possible to order drinks poolside. We were coming from the States and in hindsight, Malia is a bit far to visit some of the best beaches on Crete. We chose it because it was close to Palace of Knossos and the archeology museum but we ended up spending a night in Chania to go to Elofonisi bc it’s too far for a day trip. The hotel app was not particularly useful. Everytime I tried to make a reservation for dinner I got an error. On the plus side, I called the hotel to make the reservations and always got what we wanted.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt und können es sehr empfehlen. Ja die Preise vor Hort für Speisen und Getränke sind durchaus hoch, das wäre das einzige , was wir bemängeln könnten. Sowohl das Büffet-Restaurant als auch die a la Carte hatten tolles und qualitativ hochwertiges Essen. Die Anlage ist ein Traum und Service wird groß geschrieben.

Mein Partner und ich hatten uns sehr auf unsere zwei Nächte in dieser Unterkunft gefreut, die im Netz mit Nachhaltigkeit, Ruhe und Design wirbt. Leider wurden wir vor Ort maßlos enttäuscht. Wir kamen in eine große Hotelanlage, die mehr für Familien als für kinderlose Reisende ausgelegt ist. Und so sehr ich auch Verständnis für Familien habe, ging mir die sehr laute, wuselige und lieblose Atmosphäre doch schnell sehr auf die Nerven. Man hatte hier eher das Gefühl von Massenabklatsch, als dem, was im Netz angeprisen wurde. Das Buffet im Hauptrestaurant erinnerte eher an Schulmensa, das Essen war leider nicht sehr qualitativ und leider ebenfalls auf Kinder ausgelegt. Es gab unter anderem Spaghetti Bolognese, Pommes und Lasagne - leider alles schlecht gewürzt und lieblos angerichtet. Die paar griechischen Speisen haben uns auch nicht wirklich überzeugt. Man hatte hier absolut nicht das Gefühl, in einem hochwertigen Hotel zu sein. Auch das Restaurnat an sich war nicht schön und seeehr dreckig. Die Teller wurden viel zu früh abgeräumt und einem quasi aus der Hand gerissen. Man muss dazu sagen: Die A-la-carte-Restaurants sahen sehr gut und hochwertig aus, das konnten wir uns aber nicht leisten. Die Speisen hier sind seehr teuer. Wir hatten lediglich Halbpension und durften nur im Hauptrestaurant speisen. Die Getränke mussten wir separat bezahlen. Die Hotelanlage an sich ist schön, allerdings ist der Begriff "Bungalow" auch übertrieben. Hier war es dreckig und voll Ameisen.

Lovely hotel, main pool quite busy but the private beach was amazing with great beach bar and chilled music. We avoided the buffet and had incredible food at both the Cretan restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the Italian for dinner. Charming staff, just needs a minor rethink in bathroom as shower was narrow due to placement of soap holder. Overall a fantastic experience and would highly recommend and return

Well kept and lovely decor. Nice beach setup. Very big and more suited to families. Don’t think we have ever seen more babies, didn’t bother us but be prepared for a lot of baby strollers. Only disappointment was food. Breakfast buffet is excellent but dinner is at best mediocre. Problem is the restaurants cater to all inclusive guests and a la carte, which in this case meant ok service and disappointing food. Also Malia, the nearby town, is strictly bars and nightclubs, zero charm. Agios Nikalos 30 minutes away much nicer.

We had a lovely holiday here. The kids club was brilliant, the restaurants were excellent quality food in all the restaurants. Other guests we met on holiday who were half board and eating in the dinner buffet each night loved it. Kids were welcome in the buffet with a kids section that is a bit like school dinners to choose from. The breakfast buffet was brilliant and the hotel’s programme of events and activities are great for families. My two negatives was that the restaurants outside of the buffet, were inflexible for children, which overall made me feel that the hotel would rather you were eating in the buffet restaurant if you are there with kids.. which isn’t for us. We booked bed and breakfast because we enjoy the freedom for our other meals to be in or out of the hotel and restaurant experiences as a family are something we enjoy on holiday. We had some great meals in nearby restaurants that were very welcoming for kids too so if you’re the same, and don’t enjoy hotel buffet dinners, then there’s places to go outside of the resort. And then my only other disappointment was the towels were threadbare and our room wasn’t as clean as I would’ve expected. Overall a 4 star experience. Not the touches you would expect for 5 star. Crete was amazing as ever.

We were stunned at how beautiful the property was. It had many restaurants to choose from, some of the best resort/hotel food we've had. Even an ice cream/crepe bar! Staff was welcoming, warm and friendly. The spa was great. I didn't want to leave b/c they had everything there on the property. Would def come back again and recommend to friends.

This was our second stay at Cretan Malia Park, and once again, it exceeded our expectations. The hotel is on a nice beach, and the grounds include lovely gardens, pools, and various excellent dining options. The lawns and landscaping make the area cooler and was also nice for our child to explore. What stands out about this hotel is its ability to cater to families without compromising on comfort. Our daughter loved spending some time at the Kid's Club every morning, allowing us parents to relax and enjoy the beach or other facilities the hotel offers. We always found lounge chairs at the beach or the pool and didn't have to compete. Although the hotel is large, it has a more boutique feel, so it never felt overcrowded, and we stayed in mid-August. We also appreciated that while the hotel is family-friendly, it doesn't go overboard with flashy attractions like large or noisy water parks/slides or loud/bright discos or kid-themed areas. Everything is done with attention to creating a serene atmosphere for everyone. The daily buffet breakfast and dinner were great, with a changing menu that kept things fresh. The hotel also offers a selection of bars and restaurants for more variety or options. We liked lunch at the Beach Bar, though one suggestion would be more snack options for the beach area. The staff were consistently helpful and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Sehr schönes Familienhotel direkt am Strand. Wir waren dieses Jahr zum zweiten Mal dort. Sehr ruhiges Hotel trotz vielen Familien mit Kindern. Die Leute sind auf der Anlage und den Restaurants gut verteilt. Hotelanlage ist sehr schön und bietet viel Schatten. Liegestühle sind auf der Anlage gut verteilt. Wir hatten ein Beachfront Bungalow mit reservierten Liegestühlen und Sonnenschirm direkt vor dem Zimmer. Der einzige negative Punkt sind die hohen Preise für Getränke und Speisen. Die Preise sind deutlich über den üblichen Landesniveau. Wir hatten das Hotel mit HP. Wir wollten noch einen Upgrade auf AI machen, aber viele Getränke und Speisen muss man trotz AI bezahlen.

Struttura bellissima dotata di tutti i comfort in posizione comoda per esplorare i dintorni. Buona l'offerta dei servizi anche se sugli orari c'è qualcosa da rivedere. Inadeguata la pulizia delle camere, bem al di sotto dello standard specie per la categoria di albergo.

Bellissima spiaggia. Cibo ottimo. Personale veramente attento, gentile e professionale. Kid’s Club fantastico. Super consigliato per famiglie con bambini!

This is a beautiful resort with a gorgeous beach and wonderful restaurants. It’s very quiet and has a lot of families with young children. The rooms are spacious with nice balconies and I would stay here again if I ever go back to Crete.

The most impressive was quality of food in buffet and the 3 restaurants. It's also perfect for families with kids. Cleaning was good, but missed some spots occasionally. The rooms are descent sized, comfy beds, bathroom was a bit small, but not a problem. What made stay great was that it was such a compact resort, but somehow they have "hidden the rooms" so it doesn't feel crowded. Beach is great, with plenty of chairs, pools the same. Amazing place for kids, as they kept meeting new friends, and parents could relax with a good overview pools and beach areas. Kids club had good opening hours and nice staff. Some staff members were excellent, some average, but they were all helpful with the kids. Food was beyond expectations. Top ingredients cooked very well. Exceptional value for money. What could be improved- Though most food was included, a couple of dishes needed extra payment. No roomservice was included in the Effortless package, but the ice cream shop was. There were 2 Wine lists, Effortless (all inc) + regular. The regular was available everywhere, the full effortless only in restaurants. In Bars only 3 wines, but all drinks included. Wine selection on effortless wine list could be improved, but a couple of good wines so no issues. Did not like shampoo and shower gel at all. Overall, for what we paid, we feel we received great value, our kid met so many new friends it was a great vacation for all. Will definitely be back.

Leider ist dieses Hotel nicht nur familienfreundlich, sondern ein reines Familienhotel – das sollte in der Beschreibung deutlicher kommuniziert werden. Es gibt zwei Pools: Einer ist ein Kinderbecken und dementsprechend den ganzen Tag sehr laut und voller Kinder. Der zweite Pool darf grundsätzlich nur von Gästen der Poolvillen oder zum Schwimmen genutzt werden.Da wir Ruhe gesucht haben, haben wir sogar ein kostenpflichtiges Upgrade auf eine Poolvilla gemacht. Leider wurde auch der als Ruhepool ausgeschriebene Pool häufig von Familien mit Kindern oder Gruppen Menschen genutzt trotz der Beschilderung (Ruhepool)dort gespielt und Lärm gemacht. Besonders enttäuschend war,dass der Lifeguard dies nie angesprochen oder durchgesetzt hat, obwohl dies zu seinen Aufgaben gehören sollte. So hatten die Gäste, die für mehr Ruhe und das Upgrade bezahlt haben, kaum einen Mehrwert. Zusätzlich wurde der Ruhepool während unseres Aufenthalts offenbar nie gereinigt. Lediglich die automatische Poolreinigung lief, eine sichtbare manuelle Reinigung fand jedoch nicht statt. Schade für Paare oder Gäste ohne Kinder, die einen entspannten Urlaub erwarten und erst vor Ort feststellen, dass das Hotel klar auf Familien ausgerichtet ist und man nirgends etwas ruhe hat nicht mal wenn mann dann extra mehr bezahlt. Positiv hervorzuheben sind das gute Essen in den Restaurants sowie die insgesamt schöne und gepflegte Hotelanlage.Zu Fuss nach Malia ist es 20min. nicht gerade nah und leider kein Shuttel vom Hotel.

Besonders enttäuschend war,dass der Lifeguard dies nie angesprochen oder durchgesetzt hat, obwohl dies zu seinen Aufgaben gehören sollte. So hatten die Gäste, die für mehr Ruhe und das Upgrade bezahlt haben, kaum einen Mehrwert. Zusätzlich wurde der Ruhepool während unseres Aufenthalts offenbar nie gereinigt. Lediglich die automatische Poolreinigung lief, eine sichtbare manuelle Reinigung fand jedoch nicht statt. Schade für Paare oder Gäste ohne Kinder, die einen entspannten Urlaub erwarten und erst vor Ort feststellen, dass das Hotel klar auf Familien ausgerichtet ist und man nirgends etwas ruhe hat nicht mal wenn mann dann extra mehr bezahlt. Positiv hervorzuheben sind das gute Essen in den Restaurants sowie die insgesamt schöne und gepflegte Hotelanlage.Zu Fuss nach Malia ist es 20min. nicht gerade nah und leider kein Shuttel vom Hotel.
