The location and vibe of the hotel were excellent. The drawers for both nightstands were sticky, however. This made it difficult to store clothing. Nice bar and pool area. Room was otherwise of good quality. One of the best locations to stay in West LA.

It was quiet but also had a great bar and wine happy hour. The rooftop Pickleball court was a cool feature, but it was often dirty with leftover glasses and drinks. The pool was nice and quiet, but I wish there was more service offered out at the pool.

Some of the staff was really amazing. And the pool/rooms were overall pretty clean. But this is far from a 5 star resort. No coffee machine No water in room Hidden fees Limited dining and limited in room dining hours Small pool But, extremely convenient location to WEHO.

The hotel was very hip and the rooms were awesome very tastefully decorated. The valet process was a bit confusing but we got past that quick. The pool area and Lobby bar was awesome. Overall very positive experience

Great hotel and room was good. However heated pool service which they claimed is not true. Also the location of the hotel is dirty. Their roadside sidewalks are unclean and just don’t feel comfortable until you get to newer development which was close atleast.

During our five-night stay at the hotel, our family of four had the pleasure of utilizing the gym, pool, and restaurant. While the gym was compact, it provided all the necessary equipment for a swift workout. The pool, though modest in size, was not an issue due to its lack of crowds. Great staff and above average amenities. Plenty of entertainment and food within walking distance. The pool area is cozy and the bar area has its own vibe. Not outrageously priced for an upscale hotel, however paying $70+ to park is a little steep.

The carpeting in our room was disgusting. Both my husband and I wouldn't walk on it without shoes. It needs to be replaced. The room did not have enough towels upon arrival.

Room was good size and clean. Balcony very dirty, not worth trying to use. Could not get breakfast two days in a row due to hotel not having adequate staff in kitchen. This was second stay at hotel. great location but not worth the staffing problems. Will not return.

Very disappointing stay. These are all management issues. Location only strength. Stayed at lower-rated hotels in twice over 4 months and both were better. 1. Futon-like springy bed with bad pillows. 2. No water pressure in the dribbling shower with the toilet and sink stopping up repeatedly. 3. Cookies(?) crushed in to carpet 4. Clock unplugged and never fixed amidst tangled cords 5. TP roll in bathroom was 2/3 used upon arrival. Our second room was cleaned with the no TP ever placed. 6. There was no remote control for the TV in the room (waited an hour for delivery after two calls.) 7. No sheet placed under the duvet (one was on top) and the response after a discussion with the sarcastic front desk assistant was to send up 3 sheets for us to fix the bed ourselves. 8. No sugar substitute at coffee station (twice) despite request. 9. No help with bags to room at arrival. 10. No complimentary water in the room but a 12$ spring water bottle available 11. Few drawers for clothes unpacking. 12. Uncomfortable (essentially unusable) furniture. 13. Elevator with a spilled drink on the floor for 2 days. 14. Gift shop never opened and looked like a storage room 15. Front desk folks are under-staffed 16. One day Housekeeping just never came. 17. The outrageous unheard of parking charges are out of line even for Ca. construction is beyond the hotels control. All in all a 2.5 star hotel at best and not recommended without serious improvement

Outside balcony furniture was often damp from rain, but nice to be able to open the french doors and get fresh air in the room. Housekeeping gave you the choice as to how many services you wanted. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay again when in LA.

Terrible hotel, never ever stay at this hotel, the hotel is messy, rooms with hair in the bed and in the shower. The staff charge us 5 times the room in our credit card just by “mistake” and they took 5 days to try to solve it. Nobody helps you, theres no manager. Be carefully with the kimptons, especially this one

First off all the staff are very kind. I had good experience although my only issue was low water pressure in the shower, and there was only rain shower and not an option for shower head. And the carpet was not properly cleaned and I had some dust as well. I stayed for one night so didn’t have time or seen a reason to complain. Beside that everything was perfect.

Upon arrival, the room (specifically the bathroom) had a strong pee odor. It lingered even after the cleaning crew went in. The bathroom is uncomfortable even if you’re there with your romantic partner. You can see the toilet seat almost from anywhere in the room. On the plus side, the neighborhood is great, very walkable and close to good restaurants and shops.

An very uneven stay. It’s a beautiful property in a great location. But With loud generators operating 24/7 sleep was not easy. Then an electricity shutdown one day and alarm bells going off the next, it certainly wasn’t a 5-star experience. Maybe it was just all bad timing, but other reviews lead me to think it’s an ongoing issue.

I had a very disappointing stay at Kimpton La Peer, especially considering the price point and brand reputation. I had a great experience at their Paris location but definitely not here. First, the pre check-in experience was underwhelming. When I arrived around 2:30pm or so, I was assisted by Emanuel, who pointed out that many other 11 groups of guests had already checked in through a priority rewards program. He said he’d notify me when my room was ready—but I never received any notification. I returned around the standard 4 PM check-in time and was finally given a room, but the tone of the interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming. Things got worse from there. My room faced the courtyard, where the hotel was hosting a private event with loud music and cheering. I had just landed from a long flight and was hoping to rest around 5 PM, but the noise made it impossible to nap. Staff said the event would end by 10 PM, but the music continued well past that, closer to 11 PM. When I raised the issue, the front desk said the hotel was fully booked and couldn’t move me. There was zero accountability and no proactive solution offered. The soundproofing in the rooms is awful, especially for a hotel at this price point. This stay fell far short of expectations in both hospitality and comfort. I wouldn’t recommend staying here—especially not in a room near the courtyard or during weekends when events are likely. Everything met expectations with the exception of two small grievances. The room we were in was just ok. Very plain and boring. Second, there was construction going on right outside our room. Every morning right at 7a.m. the construction work began.

I spoke with management while there, but the service was a nightmare. We have loved this hotel in the past and for my bday so I booked the penthouse, expecting a wonderful luxurious experience…. The room was so dirty. The coffee machine was empty, no cups, smelly /stale air.. they wouldn’t let me have an extra blanket and the room service NEVER answered . We had to go down and order the food and they said they didn’t have the time to drop off at our room…. In the morning we ordered to go breakfast (a BAGEL) and waited 45 mins in the lobby waiting area for it- it was not busy. The service and housekeeping has fallen drastically. Big disappointment.

Great staff and above average amenities. Plenty of entertainment and food within walking distance. The pool area is cozy and the bar area has its own vibe. Not outrageously priced for an upscale hotel, however paying $70+ to park is a little steep.

The hotel itself was nice, it’s in a great location and very walkable. The rooms are nice and spacious and overall the hotel is a good one. However the hotel staff at check in mentioned that they would block the amount on credit charge and upon checkout I could decide my final payment method, mentioning that cash payment is an option upon checkout. However when we went to check out I found out that my card had already been charged without my say so and I was never able to pay cash like Sammie and aumbry at the front desk said.

Great hotel and room was good. However heated pool service which they claimed is not true. Also the location of the hotel is dirty. Their roadside sidewalks are unclean and just don’t feel comfortable until you get to newer development which was close atleast.

Room was good size and clean. Balcony very dirty, not worth trying to use. Could not get breakfast two days in a row due to hotel not having adequate staff in kitchen. This was second stay at hotel. great location but not worth the staffing problems. Will not return.

During our five-night stay at the hotel, our family of four had the pleasure of utilizing the gym, pool, and restaurant. While the gym was compact, it provided all the necessary equipment for a swift workout. The pool, though modest in size, was not an issue due to its lack of crowds. The location is fantastic and the bar is decent with friendly staff. The pool, though small, was usually quite empty and had loungers available. A downside was the poor noiseproofing which meant I was constantly woken up by helicopters in the mornings.

The lobby was nice, the pet service was nice. However, my room was underwhelming, unclean in some parts, especially for a 5-star hotel. There were some stains on the carpet and on the actual sink of the hotel, there were literal drain flies coming out. The caulking also looked old around the shower. We stayed only for 1 night hence not complaining as it was the only 2-bed available left for that day (we got moved). Too bad this happened as it was a perfect location.

Restaurant staff and food very good. Front desk very good. Housekeeping did a poor job, cleaned room once and did not provide hand towels or wash clothes. Kimpton La Peer used to be my favorite hotel in LA but regrettably I won't be returning. The room that I received was right next to the service elevator making it extremely loud in the mornings. It was not thoroughly cleaned as I found rose petals underneath a chair directly in the line of site. The A/C heater took a while to actually work so I was either too cold or too hot for most of my stay. The carpet was stained and the room had a slight smell to it. Upon checkout I requested that my EV be charged and was told that Valet was behind but that it would be taken care of. I waited for over an hour and apparently they forgot to plug it in. I'll give it three stars for the excellent location but overall I do not feel it was worth the $1200 I paid for 2 nights.
