InterContinental Marseille - Hotel Dieu by IHG

We had a great stay overall, and the staff was very nice and accommodating throughout our visit. The main issue involved the air conditioning in our room upon arrival. When we initially couldn’t get the temperature lower, we were told the system was controlled by the front desk and that they would adjust it remotely. After waiting about an hour with no improvement, we called again and someone came to the room to make adjustments on site. When that still didn’t resolve the issue, another staff member came to inspect it further and eventually discovered the unit was never actually turning on in the first place and was broken the entire time. After several trips back and forth over the course of many hours, we ultimately had to move to another room. I understand that things happen, but it was frustrating after already unpacking, and you would think the room systems would be checked prior to assigning the room to guests. The other downside was the gym, which is extremely minimal. It would be nice to see the hotel invest a bit more into the fitness area, even if it’s just adding some basic universal equipment to make it more functional. Other than those small issues it's a great location, clean and the staff was very nice.

2e séjour dans cet hôtel et j’ai été déçu par le check-in, qui a été long et inefficace. J’ai fait une réservation de 3 chambres sur hôtels.com, l’hôtel n’en retrouvait que 2, puis enfin la 3e, qui n’était pas au même étage que les 2 autres, ce qui n’est pas pratique pour un séjour familial. Nous avons réservé 1 chambre avec un grand lit et 2 chambres avec lits séparés, et malgré que ce soit revalidé avec le réceptionniste, on se retrouve avec l’inverse… ça peut paraître des détails mais pour un hôtel 5 étoiles, ce n’est pas correct. Et quand j’en parle lors du check out, on me dit que je devrais réserver directement sur le site de l’hôtel... Cette réponse m’a donné une 2e déception. Les bons côtés, car je donne quand même un 4/5 : l’hôtel est magnifique, les chambres très confortables, l’accueil et le service des bagagistes très agréables, la vue sur le vieux port et sur la ville exceptionnelle, les baignoires immenses… tout pour passer un bon moment
