Bummer to be hit with surprise parking fees (in a strip-mall motel far outside the town center). Yes, it's only a small sum in comparison to the overpriced rooms, but doesn't feel fun to be fleeced with yet another charge.

I'm really conflicted on this, I have two kids seven and nine so I really wanted a place that had a great heated pool and hot tub, it also had a fantastic outdoor area with a bocce ball court and general area for walking around, it was pretty at night! I counter this against the condition of the rooms. The pictures on the website are just deceiving, they're not that nice. I know we all like shabby chic but this is way way more shabby than I would have liked. The layout again. Made a lot of sense if you had kids, where they had the sink and toothbrushing area away from the toilet in the shower so you could get a lot in at once, I also love that they have a dedicated microwave and a separate sink so you could clean dishes and such. It was really just a condition of the room, I also give them credit for letting us do our check-in at 1:40 despite the typical 3:00 p.m. Time. I think overall if it just been a nicer place I would have given it an additional star, so I would say condition of the rooms made it more of a two-star hotel than a three-star hotel, but the people who stayed there were super nice and that pool and hot tub can't be beat! Also it was a really close proximity to Safari West, maybe 16-17 minutes away which is why we went there.

Okay, didn't expect luxury, but for that rate, I'd except the following be better: 1. Bathroom door hinges are bending over. 2. The conditioner container was empty 3. The lotion bottle was filthy 4. We had a cockroach visit. The service was friendly, was ample parking (though they charge?).

Old fashion 2 story motel you can park your car right in front of your room. Courteous front desk staff. Descent coffee and breakfast. Large pool. Right off FWY 101. Large Trader Joes in walking distance. Mattress need to be replaced.
