We were only staying overnight as at a concert at the castle. We checked in at 3pm and left, returning at midnight. So didn't manage to experience all aspects of the apartment. Check in great. Apartment 12, very spacious and perfunctory. No frills really for the price.Difficulty getting TV channels. No microwave; no instructions how to use the Nespresso machine so didn't bother. Only one type of t-bags and basic nescafe coffee sachets. 4 small white sugar sachets and 4 uht milk pots, not forgetting 2 tiny Biscoff biscuits. For the price and rating, would expect a pint of fresh milk and a good selection of hot drinks products. Products in the bathroom are excellent. The king size bed was a let down - not comfortable at all - neither of us slept well. Had a good electric fan which was a necessity as it was warm. The apartment was spotless and comfortable. Didn't hear any noise from neighbours at all. I think that to realise its full potential you'd have to stay longer. Well placed for accessing Haymarket Train Station, Trams and buses. All in all a brief but relaxing stay.

There is no staff on the property. Also, there is no elevator on the property and the stairs are steep. If you are solo traveling and staying at this property, make sure you can carry whatever you pack. The room is big, but annoying details like no TV in the bedroom and the tv present, you have to log into some streaming service to use it. Property would be best for business travelers or people having a longer stay so you can grab groceries and navigate the distance to old town.

The check-in information provided was accurate. As the accommodation is unstaffed, access via the keypad was straightforward and efficient; however, this setup also limits the possibility of early check-in, even when the apartment may be available. While the listing did mention stairs, the two flights of spiral staircases were more challenging than expected and may be worth noting more prominently for future guests. The washing machine worked well, but the washer-dryer combination was less effective, particularly given Edinburgh’s weather, where outdoor drying is often not an option. The location was excellent, with plenty of cafés, shops, and public transport nearby. It was also conveniently close to the city centre, with easy tram access to and from the airport.
