Garden Grove Inn

Where to start? The place has all the charm of cell block #9. The place is surrounded on 3 sides by a 6ft fence topped with 2ft of concertina wire. All the entrances from outside are surrounded by cages with locked-gate entrances. The grounds are unkempt. The room had a musty smell (we used a whole can of Lysol). The curtains had holes. The furniture was mismatched. The bed was comfortable enough. The TV had no cable/streaming channels. Only digital broadcast channels. Free outlets were at a premium and the lights had burned out bulbs (so the room was very very dark). The tub was slippery when wet and there were no grab bars or slip mats. We found bugs (not cockroaches) in the bathroom. There was a population of feral cats. Some of the other guests spent a lot of every evening pretending to parent their feral (screaming) kids. This was not a pleasant stay and VERY OVERPRICED for what the property actually delivered. I would NEVER stay here again!

Conveniently near Walmart and Costco, private parking, has no hair dryer.

The rooms were decent, but the environment around the area is a little more sketchy I didn’t like have to pay for ice 25 cents each The Motel make me feel like I was institutionalized.

WiFi is awful, nearly useless, cable TV was even worse. Shower/water pressure was horrible. It caters to a very low class clientele of pot smokers heavy drinkers and generally noisy inconsiderate low life’s. Staff was friendly location is great and it’s clean. Room was large. In the future if I can’t afford a better hotel than this one I will stay home.

If you need a place to stay under $100 in the Anaheim/Long Beach area this will meet your budget. A Motel 66 type of place, secured parking is a plus.

Quiet and comfortable to stay over during holidays. I was lucky though that there isnt any disturbances. 4/5 stars because the Wifi connection at the upper floor is really bad. I always lost the connection

Across the street from dining. Well secured. The outdoor hallway carpets were the only thing - smelled bad - but the room was unaffected by it.

Room smelled horrible and dirty asked the front desk for my money back and say no , so they gave me another room and it was dirty .

Only one wall port worked for electricty. All the other lamps and lights did not work. It was dusty and infested with roaches

Lots of cockroaches. Our door didn't fit well in its frame, cold air and rain water flowed freely through the gap beneath it. Cigarette burns on all the furniture, bedding, counters. A nearby security gate was being slammed as guests entered or left the property at all hours. Garbage was piled heavily around an overflowing dumpster.

Room conditions are terrible: No refrigerator, curtain in the back was broken, bad smell in the room, only one small shampoo for two guests, whole complex was dirty, etc. Need a lot of improvement

The hotel is very old, dirty and smell very bad. I never come back again.

Rose m was filthy, had roaches, no working phone, no towels. The internet did not even work for more than 10minutes of our stay. The grounds are filthy. No working phone in room. They charge 25 cents for a small amount of Ice.

The room smell so bad , the floor is sticky & dirty I have to wear socks to walk around .I stayed at 2nd floor I saw dogs & cats everywhere and they pee in front of my room & side walk

There were cockroaches all over and the staff said I should have told them sooner. They were not helpful at all.

Bed bugs infested

Has holes in sheets, they don’t wash the sheets it hair hair all over, then they have bugs not only when u come in the main door but all in the room too. -10 out of 10 font recommend

You get what you pay for. The hotel is more a motel 2 stars. If you only want to sleep without thinking about the area or other amenities is an ok place.

Been living out of motels in Wesminster for 8 months, this place is cleaner than all others. There’s definitely sub par rooms if you book last minute but this place is bigger & better than any other motel. It was a best western probably 20 years ago so your room will be unusually large

The staff here are great, especially John!!! They completely updated all the rooms with new paint inside and outside, all new box springs and mattresses, and new bathroom fixtures. Room looked brand new

I like that it's a huge space for a room. I love that i can move around. Lots of space in our room. Lots of fast food nearby.

People yelling at each other in next room, could hear every word, property is old, but the room was clean, TV was limited to local channels, but it was only a 1 night stay

They're doing a remodel and the rooms are nice clean and quiet.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we didn't die.... but we felt like we were in the Bates Motel, I think there were some homeless people living there, the area isn't very safe, and the whole place just seems very rundown and sketchy. There were also motorcycles and cars revving all night and the walls were paper thin.

Manager treated guests like trash, accused me of having more guests than I had said and when I proved it he became hostile

To whome it may concern, Trust me, do NOT stay in this place. Dirty, and smell. Bathtub was clogged and smell gross. Especially i had bad experience with staffs. They checked me in and they activated wrong digital key twice. I have to walked back to them twice. And the third time, they send me to another different room. Because first 2 rooms were not be able to activate the keys. Finally, they send me to a room that they just checked another guess in. I scanned the key to open the door. Then the guy in the room were naked. He screamed and yelled at me. I walked back to the front desk and complain about this stupid service.

John & max in the front office are great employees they both will go above and beyond what they should to help a guest anyway possible

The staff treated me like I was at a 5 star hotel and the room was clean and Quiet

Worst customer service at check in. Was asked to pay daily rate to get into my room 1 hour before check in. Sketchy individuals on premises. Bug infested( ants throughout the whole room. Toilet was leaking water my entire stay. Never again should anyone stay here.

When I tried to check in. They claimed their credit card machine didn’t work and they need cash or I can’t stay in the hotel. I didn’t have any cash on me, I have always paid with credit card for hotels. This was very shady and weird. I had to drive to an ATM and pay fees to pull cash so I can stay in the hotel. It was a horrible experience. It was unsafe, sketchy people all over the place, dirty, stinky. It was the worse I have ever experienced

This is my worst travels accomodation ever over 20 years of travelling. The manager or the owner was the most unfriendly and difficult person very little of Customer service I experienced. During only three nights I was there I had to change room 3 times. First time because the internet connection constantly dropped, the Son of the manager however was completely opposite to his dad ( others guests also told me better things about the Son than the Dad) he was very nice and actually came to my room to check then accept to move me to a different better room. But then next morning the dad asked me to move to other room. The first room he told me to move not even clean still food left in the table. The next room was but better and was only left option he let me. But then after moved in I realised there was an extremely loud sound in the bathroom mostly whole my stay. He also often knock the door around 10:15 way earlier before the check in time. Despite I have a small daughter and many suitcases and there was no elevator there he didnt give much time to do thing and carry everything down myself. The max he gave is 30 mins after 11 am. Despite I had to wait one hour plus for him to come back at the reception desk before. He was actually made everything so difficult. Help yourself there is a many motel or hotel around way better. I just moved the other one just few mins away and it was such a big relief, clean room people much nicer and friendly.Dont make a big mistake like me.

It was very cozy and quiet, I've stayed at Garden Grove inn 3 times and I have only been in one room upon request since I really like this one , great section of the property and quiet especially since it's a corner room and only one room next to this one. The staff is very nice to me and always accommodating me with respect and a smile, it's not the Marriot , HOWEVER....In my opinion it's much better, also great location, plenty of shopping and food within walking distance

The hall and stairs are not clean. I don’t know why there are some homeless people can get inside the property, smell the smoke and urine outside the rooms, but my room is clean, nice and comfortable. The matter is we don’t feel safe when we stayed here. Won’t come back or recommend to anyone.

Excelent location. Gas station, walmart, gym, food. I liked that convenience a lot. I would've loved a fridge and a microwave but it was alright. I made it work. Beds were 6/10 not too uncomfortable, they get the job donw specially if you're really tired. Clean sheets, clean towels, and nice AC

Much homeless in the area

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we didn't die.... but we felt like we were in the Bates Motel, I think there were some homeless people living there, the area isn't very safe, and the whole place just seems very rundown and sketchy. There were also motorcycles and cars revving all night and the walls were paper thin.
