We had a lovely room, comfortable bed which was very much appreciated. The washroom has been updated which was very nice. The staff was kind and informative. The power outlet in the room was worn and couldnt hold a power device. There was lots of parking and we could park directly in front of the door. Even though the motel is located on a busy corner, our room was very quiet and it was appreciated.

The staff were great and very friendly. The rooms were very clean and quiet. Parking was great and just next to my room door and all amenities were very close to the hotel. I recommend this place to everyone.

Staff were friendly and helpful, grounds were beautiful, Had best sleep in years due to great mattress and pillows and all amenities worked well and bath was very clean and shower was first rate. Both check-in and check-out were efficient and easy.

The Aurora Inn is an older property but well maintained, updated and clean. It has beautiful expansive lawns with large trees and a few picnic tables. The staff was very friendly. If you stay for more than one night, your room does not see the housekeeping staff (except to empty your garbage) until you leave. Not a big deal but if you need more towels, coffee, tea etc., you need to go to the office and ask. We thought the in-room coffee was awful, so maybe another brand should be used? There's a nice patio area outside but there are no chairs or tables. It would be nice to include a continental breakfast - there's lots of room inside.

Great staff property is is dated but they are actively updating it. Everytime we come the have updated something in the room. Great value for the price very pet friendly. Everyone we met loves dogs. Rooms have good sound proofing. Wonderful fluffy white towels. Beds are very comfortable and new.

Not a bad place to stay, however, in my opinion, definitely not a $150/night room especially without some sort of breakfast offered ($109-$119 would be a more appropriate price range). An older property with a lipstick renovation in the room. No microwave in room. Beds were quite comfortable on the positive side.

The property is older redone property. The service is very basic. Once we realized this we could function. To have dogs they make you sign a lot of papers . It seems they have had bad owners with their dogs before. Make sure you have your own poopy bags as they supply 0 complimentary. Be prepared to buy your meals hot we had a fridge but no microwave in the room to heat stuff up. If you want to heat stuff up there is a microwave in the front office. There was supposed to be hot tea and coffee in the front office/dining area but when i went in the morning there wasn't any. It was a nice stay but people need to know what's not available to prepare.

For an older property it has been very well maintained. Bed, linens, towels,internet, bathroom, amenities all top quality. Being an older property the room with a king bed was fairly tight. Bathroom rather tiny also. The smaller room size characteristic of older motels/hotels I have found is now becoming vogue again in new properties. Sign of the times, less room equals more rooms. Unfortunately not of the owners making I along with the owners had a bad night's rest. The adjacent room had an awful unruly guest.

The woman at the front desk was great and very helpful. The room was very clean and updated. The kingsize bed was comfortable and we slept really well. We had people staying on both sides of us and never heard a thing. Highly recommend it!

We’ve stayed at this hotel a couple of times. First time was great. Clean room, quiet, comfortable bed, pleasant staff. Our second stay was on a Friday night and there were so many noisy neighbours. We tried getting to sleep around 10pm but heard doors slamming and occasional music until 3am. In hindsight we should’ve called the hotel to see if they could’ve done something but didn’t want to bother them since they weren’t on site after 10pm. No other complaints other than the noisy guests nearby.

We stayed at Aurora Inn for 4 nights; 3 adults & a dog. The greeting on arrival was unwelcoming & no smiles! (a guy). The lady was more friendly & approachable. We were told that towels & bedding get replaced on the third day & garbage is removed daily. On our third day we had ran out of toilet paper & coffee & needed clean towels, (didn't see the point of changing bedding when we were leaving the day after!) No one checked our garbage or recycling each day, which we disposed of ourselves. I had to remind staff twice to give us clean towels, toilet paper and coffee! We also have a dog and there is lots of green space but no garbage bins at all near the premises for garbage or dog waste. I had to walk across the street to the gas station to dispose of garbage & dog waste each time! The mini fridge in our room didn't work properly and froze our food/snack & waters. One of the lamps didn't work! Rooms were clean & tidy, but small for three adults, one medium dog & all our luggage. Aurora Inn is situated in a good location for all amenities, but some of the staff came across as unfriendly and not very welcoming. They didn't offer any info regarding the area or amenities. There is a market & live music every Thursday from 3pm until 7pm which was good, but gets busy.

We had a late check-in (After 10 PM) and the hotel called to let us know to give them a call when we were 10-15 minutes away so they could have someone on the desk as they don't staff the front office all night. It worked out nicely. The staff were pleasant. There were no toiletries in the room on check in. They provided us some the next day. It wasn't a problem as I always travel with a bar of soap for hand washing.

Bed had dirty socks made in it. Staff moved us to a new room with smaller beds. Told we would be compensated for the downgrade but the situation was completely neglected and disregarded at check out. Seemed they didn’t care or had any interest in compensation. Left my phone number for management to contact me and nobody bothered to reach out and make things right. Disappointing evening there to say the least and will question going back.

Very clean and well maintain property. They have too many pillows on the bed and none of them are thin. they’re all very thick pillows that you can’t sink your neck into so they’re hard to use. Also they offer no breakfast. Given that it’s a motel and that it’s over $200 a night do you think that a continental breakfast would be served?

It would be nice if we had a kettle to make tea. When you use a Kuerig the tea tastes like coffee. The bathroom was clean no mould and mattress was very comfortable.

Overall good, except AC and heat control were a little quirky. Price seemed a bit high for a basic place with no breakfast. Margaretsville is nearby on the coast, providing a nice rural loop drive, a lighthouse, and a great little artists co-op.

Stayed there for a wedding in town. We were able to check in a little early in order to get ready. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Across the street from a Tim’s, so easy to grab a bite and coffee.

We had a good stay at the Aurora Inn. It would’ve been great to have the option of breakfast, though I know it’s not part of their offerings anymore. The room was clean and well maintained.

We had a wonderful one night stay at the Aurora Inn on our way home from Digby. My husband and I were there with my brother and his wife, we had rooms at the back of the building away from the road which was nice and quiet. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was beautiful and very clean; the bathroom was exceptional. It was a very hot day but the room was lovely and cool when we arrived. There is ample parking too.

The rooms were clean the staff was nice parking was fine. Sometimes when you put lipstick on pig it’s still just a pig. I think this place was over priced for what we got. You could hear people walking around and it was hard to open the window to get in some fresh air I would stay again if it was $100 less. I don’t believe this is a $200/ night stay
