Hotel was very run down, not clean and I booked a 2 bedroom with Kings, they said that it is not available upon my arrival and had to settle down for 2 queens with 1 bedroom. Horrible experience.

Pulling in we were skeptical. The place allows vacancy, parking lot was pretty empty (2 cars) walked in, left everything in the car bc we wanted to see the room first. Check in was very long and wasn't really greeted at all. Went up to the room, on the way the hallways smelled like weed. Getting in the room, the sliding door to the balcony was very hard to open, bottom and side of toilet was absolutely disgusting, and there was a cockroach beside it. The door that separated the sleeping area from the sitting area was broken, the stove was missing a burner, the microwave didn't fit on the counter bc of how small the kitchen was. Very old musty building in general and it seemed to attract a non family friendly crowd. South Myrtle in general seemed to be this way. PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND GET A NICE PLACE. We ended up in North Myrtle, Cherry Grove and it was day and night literally. Crowds and houses,hotels etc. We were never given a policy but was told that we couldn't get a refund for the first 24hrs. We got the damage deposit back a 3 out of the 4 days of the resort fee back. But no refund on the room itself. U have to rent dishes, pots and pans, and extra towels, blanets, pillows.
