Comfort Inn & Suites near Bethel College

I have to add points for the fact that the facility had a Tesla wall charger. The site website should probably state that it has a Tesla wall charger, as it is specifically for Tesla charge ports.

Stuff around the motel was clean, very dated though. Bare minimum. Pool area seemed as though we weren't to use it, no towels available, sauna not working. Staff was friendly and service was good.

I was easy access for parking with a 16 ft trailer. The room was clean and comfy.

I was thoroughly impressed by my stay at this hotel. I chose it mainly for its EV charger, and it proved to be a lifesaver. Arriving around 11 pm on a cold night with a nearly depleted battery, I was relieved when the front desk attendant not only directed me to the charger but personally walked me to its location at the back of the hotel. His efficient check-in process ensured I was able to rest quickly. The exceptional customer service truly stood out, and I'm very pleased with my decision to stay here.

The check-in went well, but when we got to the room the HVAC unit was on Cool and the thermostat was set to 60 degrees! When we changed the unit to Heat, the room quickly filled with a foul odor that made it smell like the room had been smoked in - not acceptable! In the morning I went to fill our small ice chest, but both (all) of the ice machines were out of commission - no ice for customers anywhere in the hotel. The front desk attendant basically conveyed a "well that's too bad for you attitude," instead of offering a real alternative solution. Again, not acceptable! On a positive note, the hotel was fairly quiet and the free hot breakfast bar was pretty good, although there was no fresh fruit (apples, bananas, etc.) available.

We booked the hotel for the pool and the sauna and neither one of them was open. Would have got another hotel had we known not when we called before we booked. They said they were operational.

This place is completely mis-managed. There were so many lights burnt out in the stairwell that it was dangerous at night. It smelled like they were covering up a mold smell with air fresheners. The pool was "temproarily closed for maintenance" that was supposed to last "a couple of hours" that was from 5:30PM until 7:30AM the next morning. Not that I would have trusted to swim in it the way everything else was cared for. The filtered water cooler in the exercise room was flashing a light saying the filter needed changed, which I hadn't noticed until after I had drank from it and had to spit it out because it was terrible tasting. The area around the coffee station was filthy in the morning, as in day's worth of filth. The entire experience was awful. I wouldn't let anyone I care about stay in this hotel.

The elevator was very dirty, sheets smelled like cleaning products, too much $ for that overall.

Had to call 3 times to check if feather free bedding was available. Got 3 different answers and no call back from a manager when I requested one. ALL ice machines are broken and the front desk clerk stated they were not fixing them because the parts were too expensive. Not a very friendly welcome, zero customer service skills.

Room was clean and comfortable. Property was understaffed. I felt bad for the front counter guy. Hire more people. Pool area was messy and no towels and the phone in our room didnt work. Breakfast was good. Sausage, eggs, biscuts and gravy, waffles and a variety of bread and cereal.

Room was dirty tub hair and dirty find a dead rat under couch bed ,tv wasn't working right staff had to come to the room and work on it i comment to front desk they need to vacuum elevator was disgusting i was really disappointed

Dirty, dirty, dirty! Dirty from the entrance, lobby area, elevator and room. Yuck! And the price paid was exuberant! Disappointed.

Our room was not clean, the water continually dripped in the tub and there was mold in the tub area. Was not a good place for us

The employees were great! BIG ROACH PROBLEM! Sure they moved us to another room but it just wasn’t the same. We went for a tour at bethel college and was disappointed with stay.

Place was dirty, rooms had bad odor smell and had mold from water leaks. Bathroom sink backed up...

The property was okay. There were several mold spots above the shower area and I feel like there were many areas that could be touched up otherwise. The beds were comfortable.

Hotel was not clean. One towel in room for two people. Water pressure was non existent. Stains on carpets and furniture. Toilet was dirty from previous guest.

Pretty sure the sheets on our bed had not been changed when we checked in and the bathtub had long blonde hair in the drain screen( my hair is short and dark and I hadn’t taken a shower yet).

There was a pimple patch stuck to the comforter on the bed in our room. Bathroom not clean and smelled musty

Was not clean at all. Had a no smoking policy however the hotel still smelled like cigarettes.

Not super clean. No soap on the property. The phone in the room was broken. Tv didn’t work

Room was clean and utilized minimal scented products. The only complaint was an abissimal shower with a leaky diverter valve and a very small water flow from the shower head.

The AC didn't work in the 3rd floor hallway. The card reader didn't work for our room so we waited in the hot hallway while the night manager tried to fix it. Finally just got a different room. The room was okay but the shower was not in good condition. The light by the beds flickered while we were trying to sleep. The night manager was very nice and did his best to help us out. Clearly the property needs some regular maintenance and upkeep.

I liked the EV charging but a car was permanently parked in the space. Still managed to use it. The door key card was a problem and the staff was grumpy at reprogramming them and still one did not work and the seconded was tempermental.

Shower didn’t function well.

Staff was great, room was clean, the window leaked water and the room smelled like musty water and old smoke. Just needs some good deep cleaning, maybe new curtains and carpets professionally cleaned to get smell of smoke out. It was pretty strong.

I reserved two queen beds, they gave me a one king bed room. I got it switched to a king suite, which meant my son (who had to play hoops all weekend) either had to sleep with me (he didn't) or sleep on the pullout couch. That's not fair. Wasn't offered a partial refund, either. Also, they didn't have any towels both times I asked for them. The staff was very nice and did the best they could, but it was frustrating for the price

Love Comfort Inn but this one needs updating in every room. Our room had a hole in the bathroom door, a 5x5 discolored wall patch, and a 4x12inn strip in the bathroom that needed patched. The tv only gave us seven local channels when we should have had basic cable. The worst part was the shower was lukewarm on the hottest setting and trickled from the spout above but poured from the spout below. I called the front desk and the clerk told me they would figure out something and call me back. They didn’t. I went down. Neither clerk wanted to help me— instead they acted as if I were lying. I told them I was NOT asking for my money back— I was asking for a different bathroom to shower since they told me there is no maintenance on the weekend. As I stood there waiting… the male clerk went to the back. The female told me she was waiting on him to decide. I went to get coffee and came back just in time to see him leave. I asked her what the plan was and she allowed my husband to take a shower in a different room. I think them having a plan in place and willing to fix the situation quickly would have been best case scenario. It felt as though I was an inconvenience when in fact all I was doing was asking for what we paid for. Comfort Inn has got to do something better!!

The room was nice. Bathroom needs some update work. Door had come loose on the bottom which caused it to bow into the bathroom. Wallpaper is coming off in many places. Door handle going into the room needs replaced. Check in clerk was very nice and accommodating. Apologized that things were taking awhile. She had to call the General Manager. We were told that we would have to check with the front desk the next day to see if we had to be moved. The Daytime Manager was at the desk when we checked. She was condescending to employees and definitely had an attitude! She asked who told us then something like, "Oh Erica. That makes sense! No you will not be moving. If we need to change a reservation, that guest will be updated." She was also disagreeing loudly with the kitchen help when we went to have breakfast. It could definitely be handled better. Kitchen help was very nice and helpful. Overall, the stay was good and quiet.

They also did not even give us the room that we had booked and the room that we were given was way too small for our family size. They proceeded to tell us that they had no other rooms available and that we had to stay somewhere else or get what we get. Our son had to sleep on the floor as they did not have rollaway’s available. The amount of homeless men that were outside lingering was very scary. And this hotel is also located right in the center of a very large cemetery. When we contact Expedia to try to get them to contact the hotel to fix all of the issues, the hotel was very rude to the Expedia customer service rep and continue to hang up on him stating that he was not going to help with this issue. They had no record of our reservation, which had been prepaid on expedia. They were able to put us in a room but it took forever. The hotel smelled funny and was not in the best condition. On the plus side the beds were comfortable and the heat & air worked well.

I stay at Comfort Inn everytime I go to Newton. All the employees are nice and friendly. I enjoy being there.

With how affordable my familys 2 night stay was, we didn't expect to much from this hotel before we arrived. To our surprise the location was in a great area and the outside was very clean. When we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff and Inside our suite was even better. It smelled clean, looked great and we could smell that they use a little bit of bleach to clean their sheets. We didn't get a chance to use the pool but it seemed clean. They also provided breakfast and it was pretty tasty. Overall, great stay for this family of 6.

Extremely disappointed. This hotel was not only filthy in the hallways and elevator but the funk around the edges of the room was incredibly horrifying. There were unsavory people in the parking lot most of the night and it was just horribly disappointing all together.

I went into this stay well informed thanks to other reviews...so I want to pay it forward. First off, there's nothing wrong with the hotel. It's a convenient location, just off the highway, with Braum's restauraunt/mini grocery next door & QwikTrip, JumpStart, KFC on the other side of the highway. It was quiet for our midweek 2-night stay. We had a first floor room with hot tub. The room did smell a bit...like a pool locker room? Combo of the hot tub & being right next to the hotel's in-house laundry I think. By turning the a/c on high with constant fan and the bathroom exhaust fan on with the bathroom door open, it got better quickly. The jets in the hot tub did not work, but my daughter had a blast swimming around in it anyway. The staff was very friendly and helpful (I didnt make a fuss about the hottub but did let them know). The breakfast was yummy, with hot biscuits, eggs and gravy and a self-serve waffle maker, various juices, cereal, yogurt, bagels, muffins, etc. The coffee maker was broken. The pool looked very nice and clean, but we never made it in. The room could have been cleaner - the bedsheets were clean and surfaces wiped down, but there was a weird stain on the armchair and on the curtains that I cleaned off myself. I think they are just understaffed so only the basics get addressed. The laundry takes quarters and you'll need to go to the gas station for that. Dont use the vending machines, theyll steal your money. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, very relaxing

Pros: Fairly Quiet, Plenty Of Parking, Room Clean & Comfortable Cons: Carpets Stain Throuhout Hotel, Bathroom Sink Drain Clogged w/ Hair Drain Slow, Needed some Up Dating & Maintenace Work Done, Decaf Coffee At Breakfast Cold, Most Hot Breakfast Items Barely Warm

The staff was friendly and helpful. We noticed our room wasn’t cleaned , open soap still in shower and lots of hair in drain. The breakfast options were decent for continental breakfast but flys were everywhere. Kind of grosse. Beds were comfy at least . Could hear alot friday night from surrounding rooms but not bad.

The staff was so unfriendly and the hotel was so dirty. The lemon water in the lobby had been sitting for so long it was bubbling. The coffee machine was broken and they only had a small coffee pump that would only hold about 10 cups of coffee, so it ran out immediately.

Internet: sucks. Breakfast: sucks. Cable television: sucks. I will say the bed was nice and firm and after a couple of complaints, they replaced the whole AC unit. So I guess the service was okay.
