Motel 6 Ogden, UT- Downtown

The pool was frequently unavailable, but it was because of dust storms which was not the motel's fault. Just frustrating.

I wasn’t happy that the pool wasn’t opened. It had no water in it and they should have said it wouldn’t be open until may 20

Great location - pool not crowded but so enjoyable on a hot day and all at a reasonable cost.

The back door to the hotel was broken, so anybody could walk in they had two large dogs downstairs parking

I left the Hotel early in the Am, Im already couple hindred miles away and Manager called and asked for my card supposedbly to refund my deposit. Always had issues with Cable going out and couple days Ice machinesdidnt work. I requested No maid service and every single day my rooms were half made

Overall the stay was good. The beds were a bit springy, but we slept well. We travelled with our infant and the staff was very accommodating (and kind) in ensuring we were close to the door for easy access to our car. There is a pool which looked very refreshing (we arrived late at night so it was closed for the day) and would be great for older children or adults; and there is a small gym facility. We booked a room with fridge and microwave, but there is a communal microwave and eating space available for use.

Room 228 inventory is awful like bed, toilet seat in particular with stains , chair and walls as well smell in the room comming from the bathroom fan...I guess , stuck on your clothing . Beside when reserve online say nothing else to pay but they charge $5 a day extra for microwave and fridge.go figure when should be included.

I like to stay at Motel 6 when I travel. But this hotel I will not stay at again. It was run down, dirty and gross.

Had cockroaches and there was hair in the shower and the bathroom floor. WiFi sucked, no hot water, old, I would never stay here again.

The room was clean and the housekeeping staff was courteous. The front desk team has a very good manager that they should emulate

Room was not clean. Marks on wall and furniture. Odd smell throughout. Stains on bed sheets. Shower looked dirty. I would not use it. Broken hanger present.

The exterior of the building appears in general disrepair but not uninhabitable. The pool in front was drained with trash and algae sitting in the bottom, but still manageable overall. The lower floor of the motel smelled liked chemical cleaners being used to mask a more rancid smell. The upper floor where our room was supposed to be located reeked of cigarette smoke and the same industrial cleaner, with a discarded cigarette present on the hallway floor. The smell alone was enough to make us nauseous. Entering the room was only marginally better. The shower floor was stained and had unknown residue in the one corner, while the comforters on the bed was stained. The bathroom door would also never latch when shut. I know the price point leaves zero expectations, but I would not recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap place to crash for a night, and certainly not an extended stay.

All I wanted was to be warm, It was a bed in a warm room...thats all I wanted. The room came with a microwave and refrigerator that was an extra $5., it was worth it. Bring extra blankets because they just have a sheet, if you dont you'll have the heater cranked up and it may only get up to 73° All and all, it was ok. Very basic, I paid $78. Total.

Homeless people in the parking lot. Dog poo smell and poop all over the parking ground. No hot water. Warm water yes but not not. Tv didn’t work. Alarm went off at 3 am in the morning and wasn’t turned off until 9 am. Loud and annoying. Bed was spongy. It was dirty inside and out.

Just needed a place to crash for the night. Wasn’t bad for the price. The beds are pretty rigid and I could hear the people above me stomping around until around 1AM. But it was overall not terrible. Lots of hot water, warm room, working TV, front desk staff was very nice.

It was an okay for a quick night stop. Not the type of hotel I would stay in with my family or for extended stays. The beds aren’t comfortable and that’s coming from a guy who camps and sleeps on the ground. The shower and toilet leaked water all night. The rooms aren’t sound proof. Not what you’re thinking. Ha. Just hallway and street noise.

Ive stayed here twice in the past. The first time we stayed in the room upstairs closest to the street where we could hear the traffic all night. The first room we stayed in also had a very creaky bed. My most recent trip was a lot better but you still get what you pay for. Bed wasnt creeky and we were farther from the road so traffic noises herent as noticeable. Only issue with this visit was a leaky faucet in the bathroom. I will continue to use this motel for cheap stays but if you have the money stay at a Hilton or somewhere better in Ogden.

Basic accommodation.

Wood floors, which then lets you hear everything from room above. Mattresses too soft or divot in center. Trouble turning on water in shower. No kleenex, iron, or ironing board in rooms.

It was nice! Was just looking for a place to sleep and it worked great. It was 100 degrees out on our check-in day and the AC unit was great at keeping the room nice and cool.

I chose this place because it was cheap and because I wasn't traveling with my family. If I'd had my kids I would not have been as pleased. Noise traveled too well through the building, which made it a little harder to fall asleep. Faucet and shower head were leaking but everything was clean. It is an old place. It worked for me.

The staff at this hotel is the sole reason for this review. Upon arrival there was no one at the desk and a line out the door, folks let me know they had been waiting over 40 minutes and no one had arrived. I left and came back. My room internet, phone, and cable did not work. They decided I would move rooms, with my belongings being moved by the maintenance crew and left in the hallway (no I did not agree to this). The toilet did not work in the next room . I asked for it to be fixed three time and was told the maintenance crew would come....the next day. I had decided to check out early at this point bc of the multitude of issues and lack of concern. I worked with Expedia on the cancellation which the hotel approved. When at the front desk telling them I was checking out I was yelled at for not honoring my reservation and for making complaints. I also asked for a receipt and for the walk of the room that they REQUIRE in order to return your deposit, and the manager refused to do so. Instead he told me that if I asked for a receipt again or went to try to take photo of my room (for my own proof) that he would call the police on me for trespassing. It was wildly uncomfortable for a number of reasons. Another woman in the lobby left after witnessing that last interaction as well. I would never stay here again and would recommend you look elsewhere. Moved to another Motel 6 in the area that offered all basic amenities without all the front desk guest anger.

The hotel Easy to get to, it had a clean room and friendly staff.

The property seemed kind of sketchy, but the town of Ogden is beautiful. The staff seemed very disinterested, but there was one young man who helped me by printing some work documents for me.

Great service and amazing staff.

I loved the cleaning staff. They were so friendly and had no problem getting things that we needed. The lady and gentleman at the front desk helped out greatly and even allowed us to choose if we wanted upstairs or downstairs. I choose up this way I didn't have to hear people upstairs. It was quite which was another plus. Getting to my age noise seems to bother me more so now. Overall great place for the money!!

Hotel itself was fine for a Motel 6 level place. Entire place had a slight oder (hallways and room) almost that of cleaning supplies mixed with faint smoke. Room did not smell of smoke, but I would not have been surprised if clothing ended up smelling like the oder -- they did not. Even though I felt ok walking from car to hotel, I was uneasy leaving car overnight -- ended up parking as close to front door as possible so it could be viewed from inside and parked passenger side of car up against the fence so doors couldn't be opened -- no overnight problems.

It is not the best neighbourhood.

This is an older motel 6. In a bad neighborhood. The room was generally clean and the AC worked, but I think homeless people were living there. Also. Lots of people walking around late at night on the floor above us. It's in a bad neighborhood, so my wife felt unsafe. I booked online, with no refund. Possible. If I would have driven up, I wouldn't have stayed there

Road noise is terrible. Water kept dribbling from shower and toilet wouldn’t stop making noises. Had to check out at midnight because it was so bad

Location is downtown and a bit noisy as well as somewhat unsettling. Staff is friendly. Good choice of restaurants nearby. Cable TV was limited.

Walls are paper thin with lots of traffic, could have been better but you get what you pay for. No breakfast and they only clean the rooms every other day at most. The location is convenient, near lots of eateries and a bus stop only a 2 minute walk away. Great if you want to save money on a trip to ogden but if you have the money definitely stick to one of the nicer hotels near the junction

This was a budget friendly stay, very clean and the staff were wonderful. So very nice. I would definitely stay here again. The reason they are not all excellent is that there was some road noise (this may not be an issue in all rooms) and no vending machine. But it was overall excellent! Friendly, down to earth staff. Nice people.

Overall was great, wished they had a fridge and microwave.

It’s a Motel 6! Nothing fancy, no real perks. Coffee though was amazing! I come for the price and a place to sleep.
