Very comfortable bed in a room with stunning views over the lake in Kandy. Only downside was no lift, but staff were very helpful getting the bags up to the room. Will stay there again if I’m back in Kandy.

The staff are very eager to help. They were excellent. However, the property is near a school and the students practiced their marching band rehearsal at 6am. Otherwise, it's a decent place to stay for a night. Be mindful that it's only stairs -- no elevators.

The staff are super friendly and helpful, especially Ryan on the front desk. The room we had was simple and clean, aircon worked great. The viewing area on the 4th floor is really nice.

Staff in general were very friendly and manager was responsive to the feedback we gave re hygiene, but lots of areas just generally grotty and finger prints all over doors, switches, etc. Attention to detail lacking, no towels (had to ask multiple times for them), no bathmat, no mattress protector, sheets worn. The bathroom was the best part of our room was seemed to have been recently renovated.

交通量多め。急カーブの場所にあるので、車も騒音がそれなりに。夜には交通量が減るので静かになるが、朝は早朝から賑やかです。チェックインが早すぎたせいか、急いで支度してもらった影響かもしれないが、排水がちょっとイマイチなのと、フロアやシャワールームもピカピカというわけではない。お湯が途中から出なくなったり、朝食前の時間帯は水が出にくくなったり、ちょっと設備が弱めかもしれない。朝食もおいしく、スタッフも皆素敵で、総合的には満足な方です。

We can highly recommend viyana boutique hotel. From the moment we arrived, our every wish was taken care of and everyone took excellent care of us. The room is a dream. The view over the lake and the city captivated us directly and the cleanliness of the room was also top. All the staff were very friendly. We got fresh water every day and the breakfast was also very tasty. The tuk tuk driver right in front of the hotel showed us the most beautiful corners of the city. All in all a great hotel with unique staff and a great atmosphere.

I’m sorry to say that I was quite disappointed with this property considering the cost of it compares to the upper end hotels here in Kandy. The staff were helpful when needed and welcomed us with delicious juices, and the bed was the comfiest bed! However, the hotel itself feels empty and uninviting. There are no plants or fresh air, just lots of concrete. My room had a lot of black mould which made it smell, and the bathroom didn’t feel very clean (hairs in the sink and black mould all over shower tiles because of no ventilation). The bed sheets had holes in them and the mattresses had no cover. I can’t believe the price for the night and then finding the room like this.

Perfect location for a stay next to the tooth temple. Very safe promenade, 10 min walk maximum to the tooth temple and around 15 min to kandy citycenter. The staff is super helpfull they offered us a fresh waterlemon juice during our check in. The wifi is slow and bad but thats fine if ur visiting srilanka to disconnect. The hotel is averga regarding the cleaning part. Finally super convenient for one night, kandy lake is in front of it wonderful spot. We went for dinner at a rooftop nearby and didnt have breakfast so we didnt try the food of the hotel

We had booked two rooms, one was a bit better than the other, however the rooms were dirty, you could tell the sheets were changed and the table was wiped, but the overall cleanliness wasn't good at all. Air-conditioning wasn't working great. Staff were friendly and supportive, when asked for something. We also got a rude intereption during the night from a random person, who knocked multiple times on the door at 4am. If there was a sign on reception to say how to contact manager, we wouldn't have been woken up as our room was right behind reception and the person was looking for the manager. The hotel was over all noicy and you can hear people andovement.

Nice location, walkable. Staff are nice and accommodating. Our room was clean and spacious, has a sitting area. Only drawback was room 101 is situated very close to the reception desk so it was noisy. Also have a Peek a boo view of the lake. Continental breakfast was good. They kindly packed a take away box for us on the day we were leaving early for Sigiriya. Overall enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is well located for Kandy, in front of nice lake and short walk to Temple of the Tooth and town centre. We were greeted with a free lunch on arrival since they were promoting the place and we ate very well; we had a second lunch there and that was very good too. Place was overall comfy but rooms seem to have thin walls since it felt quite noisy. But all good overall.

The hotel is rated 4star but it is beat down and need renovations. The room I had haf window opened up neighbour front and so I didn’t use it. So it was a dark room. However the location is very nice with a good lake view.

Not a good experience. In my opinion you can’t believe the other reviewers. They appear to be false. I don’t recommend this place. Here are the issues we had after one night stay. It should be noted we switched hotels after one night… we were booked for 2.. No hot water AC very noisy. Couldnt be adjusted. On or off were the only choices Safe issue. Took them 20 mins and couldn’t be sorted out. A Portable one arrived with keys. Code only worked once. But main concern was portability of the actual safe. Not secure at all. TV batteries..dead. Had to call to get new ones and then lack of channels Street noise. Didn’t stop throughout the night. Difficult to sleep. Hall light comes through transom no curtain.. room was too bright all night. Location not great. Nothing else nearby. No shops for water etc Limited towels.. 2 total. Uncomfortable and lumpy bed. Terrible for sleeping. While the staff was friendly it didn’t make up for other issues. Don’t believe the other reviews. I wish I hadn’t.. find somewhere else to stay.

Good location on the far edge of Kandy Lake. 10 min walk from the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. 15-20 min walk from town. The room has everything you need and the beds were exceptionally soft - didn’t want to get up in the morning! We were able to check in early when we arrived, which we really appreciated. We were able to have a hot shower after our bus ride from Sigiriya. Considering the good price, this was a comfortable stay for a walkable visit to Kandy.

This hotel was perfectly located in Kandy for a short visit and the staff were very friendly and helpful on the reception The aircon didnt work in our room which meant it was very stuffy. The room was comfortable but could have a little TLC to make it better. Great to be so close to the lake and easyto get tuktuks outside.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Viyana. We were there just one night but the staff are so friendly, chatty and attentive. We really loved the waiter. This is a great location for the Temple of the Tooth and for walking around the lake and also for going to the Culture Centre to see the Kandyan dancing. The shower was hot and the air con was strong.

Helt klart det mysigaste och mest genuina hotell vi bott på under vår två veckor långa semester på Sri Lanka. Mycket familjärt och god mat. 5 minuter med bil till nationalparken. Mannen och hans fru som drev hotellet var otroligt hjälpsamma och trevliga. Kan varmt rekommenderas för den som vill bo på ett lugnt läge med familjär atmosfär.

Helt klart det mysigaste och mest genuina hotell vi bott på under vår två veckor långa semester på Sri Lanka. Mycket familjärt och god mat. 5 minuter med bil till nationalparken. We stayed for 3 nights at Viyana and we thought the location was perfect - right on the lake and around a 15 minute walk to the Sacred Tooth Temple. The staff were absolutely brilliant - always smiling and chatting to us and catered to every need. We had a leak in our bathroom from a heavy rainstorm which we informed reception about and someone came immediately. They offered to change our room but we politely declined (too much effort to pack!!) so instead they offered us a free breakfast which was such a kind gesture! Would highly recommend Viyana for people visiting Kandy!

Very comfortable bed in a room with stunning views over the lake in Kandy. Only downside was no lift, but staff were very helpful getting the bags up to the room. Will stay there again if I’m back in Kandy.

We had booked two rooms, one was a bit better than the other, however the rooms were dirty, you could tell the sheets were changed and the table was wiped, but the overall cleanliness wasn't good at all. Air-conditioning wasn't working great. Staff were friendly and supportive, when asked for something. We also got a rude intereption during the night from a random person, who knocked multiple times on the door at 4am. If there was a sign on reception to say how to contact manager, we wouldn't have been woken up as our room was right behind reception and the person was looking for the manager. The hotel was over all noicy and you can hear people andovement.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Viyana. We were there just one night but the staff are so friendly, chatty and attentive. We really loved the waiter. This is a great location for the Temple of the Tooth and for walking around the lake and also for going to the Culture Centre to see the Kandyan dancing. The shower was hot and the air con was strong.

Good location on the far edge of Kandy Lake. 10 min walk from the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. 15-20 min walk from town. The room has everything you need and the beds were exceptionally soft - didn’t want to get up in the morning! We were able to check in early when we arrived, which we really appreciated. We were able to have a hot shower after our bus ride from Sigiriya. Considering the good price, this was a comfortable stay for a walkable visit to Kandy.

Perfect location for a stay next to the tooth temple. Very safe promenade, 10 min walk maximum to the tooth temple and around 15 min to kandy citycenter. The staff is super helpfull they offered us a fresh waterlemon juice during our check in. The wifi is slow and bad but thats fine if ur visiting srilanka to disconnect. The hotel is averga regarding the cleaning part. Finally super convenient for one night, kandy lake is in front of it wonderful spot. We went for dinner at a rooftop nearby and didnt have breakfast so we didnt try the food of the hotel

An amazing place that is conveniently located near Kandy Lake. The staff were very friendly and supportive which helped us a lot since we were with a 4yr old. The restaurant serves a nice variety of dishes that are reasonably priced and I would definitely recommend the Chicken Waffle.

Good hotel overlooking the lake. The staff were great & really looked after us. We ate in the restaurant at night & the food & wine were excellent. Good breakfast, the only downside was the coffee which wasn't good. Overall we would stay here again.

Wow, such a bargain for the location and excellent service! Our room was huge and had a lounge area with a view of Kandy Lake. The staff are very welcoming (they even bring you a welcome juice). Breakfast was good too. They have a restaurant with limited options for convenience. The location is amazing; right in front of the lake and within walking distance to the Temple of the Tooth Relic (we were driven there, but it looked like a 15-20 minute walk). Highly recommend!

We can highly recommend viyana boutique hotel. From the moment we arrived, our every wish was taken care of and everyone took excellent care of us. The room is a dream. The view over the lake and the city captivated us directly and the cleanliness of the room was also top. All the staff were very friendly. We got fresh water every day and the breakfast was also very tasty. The tuk tuk driver right in front of the hotel showed us the most beautiful corners of the city. All in all a great hotel with unique staff and a great atmosphere.

Lovely hotel, great food, a good mix of western and Sri Lankan. I caved and got pasta one night and it was fantastic. They had an issue with the hot water on the roof and had to go through my room to fix it, but set me up and made me comfortable in another room for a few hours. It was no problem and I definitely feel like they handled it well. The top floor room is amazing. Huge and beautiful view. I'd love to add photos, but the upload tool isn't working on the app.
