I recently had a splendid 4-day, 3-night stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi, and it exceeded all my expectations. The warm hospitality and genuine smiles from the staff made me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. The resort's location is breathtaking, with lush greenery and turquoise waters creating a serene backdrop. I was thrilled to be upgraded to a luxurious Rainforest suite, where attention to detail and comfort were evident. The room provided a pampering and relaxing experience, and the check-in and check-out process was seamless. The staff at the Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi were exceptional, always attentive and courteous. Special mention goes to Chef Black from the beach grill restaurant and Chef Jay from Hai Yan restaurant. Their culinary skills delighted my taste buds, and Chef Black's creative surprises were a treat. Highlight of my stay was enjoying a beautiful sunset at the Horizon restaurant, accompanied by the stunning 'Hornbill' cocktail. The sunset view was mesmerizing, offering a perfect setting to unwind and appreciate the natural beauty surrounding the resort. The infinity pool at the Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi was truly amazing, with crystal-clear waters and panoramic views. It provided a slice of paradise for relaxation and rejuvenation. The Ritz-Carlton Spa, located in such a gorgeous setting, offered tranquility and indulgence, leaving me feeling revitalized. Overall, my stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi was remarkable. Lo bueno: - Muy buenas instalaciones: habitaciones tipo cabaña grandes, cuarto de baño espacioso, cama comodísima, espacios comunes estupendos, dos piscinas, una de ellas solo para adultos, playa privada… - Organización general impecable: servicio de traslado interior a distintas zonas del complejo, facilidad para las excursiones, personal amable y resolutivo. - Variedad de restaurantes, desayuno variadísimo y abundante. Lo malo: - La playa tiene un aviso permanente de mejor no bañarse por la existencia de animales peligrosos. Estaba vacía prácticamente siempre. - Al reservar la estancia y enviarte información sobre los restaurantes del hotel, no informan de que es necesario reservar mesa en todos con antelación, lo que provoca que llegues y , si tu estancia es corta como la nuestra (dos días), el riesgo de tener que comer siempre en el restaurante de batalla es alto. - En recepción no son inicialmente muy colaboradores ante la petición de un late check out, lo que no se entiende cuando en su web aparecen habitaciones disponibles…. Tener que quejarse formalmente y ya, de paso, hacerlo también en cuanto a la falta de información previa por su sistema de reservas para comidas y cenas, para conseguir que te lo concedan, sobra en un hotel de esta categoría y pretensiones. Conclusión: sería un cinco fuer másvez me

It was excellent, the horizon pool is great and staff will serve snack food n drink to you free of charge . Saturday with live music playing while you enjoy dinner or swimming in horizon. The facilities , steamed room, sauna are complimentary and service are excellent The breakfast also wonderful , buffet and including A la cart .. I definitely will return . It really worth in value . Staff are all friendly

We had a barely OK stay at the Ritz Carlton Langkawi. The hotel is worn and could use maintenance. There are missing tiles in the pool, mosquito larvae in the children's pool. We woke up two nights in a row to renovation construction in the same house where we lived. Construction workers were sawing. As compensation we each got 4 chocolate pralines. The breakfast took an extremely long time from ordering to receiving it. Multiple wrong orders. Two cappuccinos took 20 minutes to get. Hey, come on, what is this? We always choose expensive and exclusive hotel chains, this was the first and last time we chose The Ritz Carlton. We chose a room with a rainforest view - a large part of the view was on concrete blocks.

This hotel is pure luxury and we enjoyed our stay from start to finish. The staff are unbelievably friendly at all times. They make such an effort to be personable and will subtly offer to help with things before you even get the chance to ask! We chose to upgrade to an ocean villa which was absolutely stunning. Completely secluded in a beautiful setting. Wildlife all around and the most tranquil view of the sea outside the villa. The food and drink were amazing and even though the adults only pool/bar was closed for maintenance, the hotel opened two normally private villas with fairly large pools which we could enjoy. These were super quiet and the staff were continuously bringing us snacks and complimentary drinks (as well as food and drinks from the beach bar if we needed!). The breakfast was brilliant and the restaurant was picturesque, nestled into the trees. There was even a great gym and lovely areas to walk around. We had the absolute best time at this resort. It felt like a mini paradise and although it is not cheap, we felt it was worth every single penny. The small touches made everything even more special. We hope to be back one day!

A wonderful property with an outstanding team. Special kudos to the spa staff who were exceptionally caring and professional throughout my stay. The villa itself was impressive—spacious, elegant, and beautifully designed. However, it was incredibly disappointing to find that the private pool was not heated, making it completely unusable. Had I known in advance that the water would be so cold, I would have chosen a different type of room. A missed opportunity in an otherwise excellent experience.

すべてにおいて完ぺきだった。受付の時からスタッフはとても親切で細かな配慮があり、さすがリッツカールトンだなと思った。 海岸に近い森の中にロビーやレストラン、プール、各部屋ごとに別の棟があり、その間の移動はバギーで送ってくれるシステム。猿が近くにやってきたりするが、日本の猿のような大きな猿ではなくて小さくてかわいらしい猿で全然いやな感じではなかった。（ただし、部屋を開けるときは絶対にカギをしめるようにと念押しされた） 一番ランクの低いForrest viewみたいな部屋だったが、それでも森とその隙間から海が見えて最高だった。 食事は３つレストランがあってすべて最高に美味しかった。 プールは大人専用と子供もOKなところの２つがあって一つしか行けなかったが、子供はプールで遊んで、大人はプールサイドで横になりながらおいしいスムージーと軽食を食べたりして半日くらいゆっくり過ごした。こんなに美味しいフィッシュアンドチップスは人生で初めてだった。 一応、子供をキッズクラブに預けたり、ベビーシッターを頼むことはできると言われたので、次行くならぜひ利用したい。

Friendly hotel staff everywhere at the property, they gave me happy wonderful stay. The room is clean with nice view and good amenities. I love their robe, very comfortable. Restaurants and bars are also great. Tasty BF and other dishes I enjoyed a lot. Spa treatment was also amazing.

Everything about our stay was absolutely incredible—from the warm and attentive service, to the spacious and beautifully designed room, to the pristine cleanliness, the crystal-clear sea, and the outstanding food. Staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi had been a dream of mine for years, and the experience exceeded all expectations. It truly felt like a dream come true. The highlights for me were definitely the dining and the service. At the Chinese restaurant "Hai Yan", the stir-fried dishes, shrimp with spicy sauce, and meat were hands down the best I’ve ever had at any hotel restaurant. At The Beach Grill, the grilled meat and coconut sundae were simply unforgettable. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature and watching the sun slowly set over the horizon right from our table made for an unforgettable evening. The level of hospitality was truly next-level—unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Everything about our stay was absolutely incredible—from the warm and attentive service, to the spacious and beautifully designed room, to the pristine cleanliness, the crystal-clear sea, and the outstanding food. Staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi had been a dream of mine for years, and the experience exceeded all expectations. It truly felt like a dream come true. The highlights for me were definitely the dining and the service. At the Chinese restaurant "Hai Yan", the stir-fried dishes, shrimp with spicy sauce, and meat were hands down the best I’ve ever had at any hotel restaurant. At The Beach Grill, the grilled meat and coconut sundae were simply unforgettable. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature and watching the sun slowly set over the horizon right from our table made for an unforgettable evening. The level of hospitality was truly next-level—unlike anything I’ve experienced before. We had a barely OK stay at the Ritz Carlton Langkawi. The hotel is worn and could use maintenance. There are missing tiles in the pool, mosquito larvae in the children's pool. We woke up two nights in a row to renovation construction in the same house where we lived. Construction workers were sawing. As compensation we each got 4 chocolate pralines. The breakfast took an extremely long time from ordering to receiving it. Multiple wrong orders. Two cappuccinos took 20 minutes to get. Hey, come on, what is this? We always choose expensive and exclusive hotel chains, this was the first and last time we chose The Ritz Carlton. We chose a room with a rainforest view - a large part of the view was on concrete blocks.

We really enjoyed our family stay at Ritz Carlton Langkawi with our toddler. The room was impressive (very spacious, clean, ocean views - one of the nicest rooms we’ve stayed in), breakfast buffet was amazing and the hotel was very kid friendly. We appreciated the little things that customer service thought of - one day we came back to our room and there was a kids tent in the room! These little thoughtful touches made our stay memorable and I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come again!

Left this hotel after less than 14 hours. Booked through hotels.com and the room provided was significantly different than advertised. Total miss selling. The adverts offer stunning views, wilderness. We were placed in a basement, the only view was of a 6 foot man made fence, 12 foot in front of the windows. We could not see over, under or through the fence. What hotels.com also don’t tell you is you can’t open the windows and advised against sitting outside due to the monkeys in the forest. Throughout the room there are many warnings about the monkeys also highlighting if they get into the room you are liable for all damage! In essence. The room was dark, a basement, glass box where you could look outside other than at a fence and couldn’t open your doors to the outside. This is a high turn over hotel, the staff go through the motions, from checkin in the evening through to the following morning after requesting to leave - btw the other room we had been offered, wasn’t ready until mid afternoon and came with even more warnings about monkeys entering the room , don’t leave doors open and don’t go on the balconies when monkeys are about. Again your trapped in a giant greenhouse. The whole experience is very superficial - lack of any teal customer focus. High turn over of customers, with elaborate marketing materials. Hotel was very quick to point out all errors are hotels.com / Expedia. For miss information on what the hotel offered, lack of detail on the booking

This hotel is pure luxury and we enjoyed our stay from start to finish. The staff are unbelievably friendly at all times. They make such an effort to be personable and will subtly offer to help with things before you even get the chance to ask! We chose to upgrade to an ocean villa which was absolutely stunning. Completely secluded in a beautiful setting. Wildlife all around and the most tranquil view of the sea outside the villa. The food and drink were amazing and even though the adults only pool/bar was closed for maintenance, the hotel opened two normally private villas with fairly large pools which we could enjoy. These were super quiet and the staff were continuously bringing us snacks and complimentary drinks (as well as food and drinks from the beach bar if we needed!). The breakfast was brilliant and the restaurant was picturesque, nestled into the trees. There was even a great gym and lovely areas to walk around. We had the absolute best time at this resort. It felt like a mini paradise and although it is not cheap, we felt it was worth every single penny. The small touches made everything even more special. We hope to be back one day!

The rooms are absolutely stunning, beautifully designed, peaceful, and luxurious. It truly felt like a proper escape from reality, exactly what I was looking for. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, making it easy to completely relax and switch off. The monkeys roaming the resort genuinely add to the experience and make it feel even more unique and connected to nature. A special shout-out to the buggy drivers, who were all incredibly quick, helpful, and friendly, always arriving with a smile. Another huge thank you to Lee at the Beach Grill Restaurant, who was so kind and welcoming, and to the entire team at Horizon, where we spent a lot of our time and were consistently looked after so well. The front of house team also deserve a big mention they were lovely, organised everything I needed seamlessly, and even followed up to make sure all my questions were answered. My wife and I stayed at Ritz Carlton Langkawi for 3 nights and would rate it one of the best luxury hotels we had stayed so far. Room was very spacious, with unique design, located in rainforest terrain and I really enjoyed perfect view of the blue-green sea from our room balcony. As the rooms, villas and various facilities are scattered across the rainforest, we moved around by hotel buggy and the atmosphere and experience was truly holiday-like. Hotel staff are amazing. They are very polite, greet you everywhere and always offering helps. My wife and I enjoyed our stay here very much

Lo malo: - La playa tiene un aviso permanente de mejor no bañarse por la existencia de animales peligrosos. This hotel is pure luxury and we enjoyed our stay from start to finish. The staff are unbelievably friendly at all times. They make such an effort to be personable and will subtly offer to help with things before you even get the chance to ask! We chose to upgrade to an ocean villa which was absolutely stunning. Completely secluded in a beautiful setting. Wildlife all around and the most tranquil view of the sea outside the villa. The food and drink were amazing and even though the adults only pool/bar was closed for maintenance, the hotel opened two normally private villas with fairly large pools which we could enjoy. These were super quiet and the staff were continuously bringing us snacks and complimentary drinks (as well as food and drinks from the beach bar if we needed!). The breakfast was brilliant and the restaurant was picturesque, nestled into the trees. There was even a great gym and lovely areas to walk around. We had the absolute best time at this resort. It felt like a mini paradise and although it is not cheap, we felt it was worth every single penny. The small touches made everything even more special. We hope to be back one day!

We really enjoyed our family stay at Ritz Carlton Langkawi with our toddler. The room was impressive (very spacious, clean, ocean views - one of the nicest rooms we’ve stayed in), breakfast buffet was amazing and the hotel was very kid friendly. We appreciated the little things that customer service thought of - one day we came back to our room and there was a kids tent in the room! These little thoughtful touches made our stay memorable and I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come again!

Couple - Rainforest Room The challenge about staying at a Ritz-Carlton is that the service is the best in the world, so where ever you go afterwards, you will forever be remarking to your partner "remember how we stayed at The Ritz Langkawi, how good was that". Service: Every single staff member was incredibly friendly, caring and ensured our stay was perfect. From the moment you get to the property, security are welcoming, check in is a great experience and getting to your room is a breeze. Food & Beverage: Amazing service, with staff better trained than many Michelin Star restaurants I have been to. The food is great, the best of what I had on the island - an amzing breakfast buffet with cocktails, local and standard breakfast. The beach grill was great, Horizons was fantastic and Hai Yan was amazing. Everything about the stay was so good, I wish I could have stayed a few more days. We had to move to another hotel for a wedding, and everyday we are saying how good was the Ritz, enough that the bride and groom are heading over to experience true world class service.

The rooms are absolutely stunning, beautifully designed, peaceful, and luxurious. It truly felt like a proper escape from reality, exactly what I was looking for. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, making it easy to completely relax and switch off. The monkeys roaming the resort genuinely add to the experience and make it feel even more unique and connected to nature. A special shout-out to the buggy drivers, who were all incredibly quick, helpful, and friendly, always arriving with a smile. Another huge thank you to Lee at the Beach Grill Restaurant, who was so kind and welcoming, and to the entire team at Horizon, where we spent a lot of our time and were consistently looked after so well. The front of house team also deserve a big mention they were lovely, organised everything I needed seamlessly, and even followed up to make sure all my questions were answered. Fantastic service! The staff all spoke great English and were extremely professional, friendly and service minded. Stunning sunset view! The horizon bar offers a fantastic view of the sunset and although the food menu is simple (it is a bar, not a restaurant) the food was great (and so were their cocktails!). We did not get the chance to try the onsite restaurants as we were only at the resort for a limited time, however the breakfast was excellent with both a la carte and a very nice buffet. Once again, the staff were fantastic. Amazing (adults only) infinity pool! Almost all sun beds were occupied, but it did not feel crowded at all! The atmosphere was calm and it really felt like we had the pool to ourselves. GREAT room! We had a deluxe room with sea view and rainforest view (plenty of opportunities to see monkeys close up). The room seemed newly renovated and was spacious and nicely decorated in a Scandinavian ish style. We really got a wow-feeling when walking through the door. I never write reviews, however this time I felt I had to do it. We also stayed at another resort in Langkawi which was around half the price of this one. It was decent, however I would recommend any couple to try out the Ritz - at least just for a few days. Our experience at the Ritz in Langkawi was next level!

My wife and I stayed at Ritz Carlton Langkawi for 3 nights and would rate it one of the best luxury hotels we had stayed so far. Room was very spacious, with unique design, located in rainforest terrain and I really enjoyed perfect view of the blue-green sea from our room balcony. As the rooms, villas and various facilities are scattered across the rainforest, we moved around by hotel buggy and the atmosphere and experience was truly holiday-like. Hotel staff are amazing. What an awesome awesome exprience. I have been to hundreds of 5 star hotels but nothing beats this place. Perfect from the staff to the resort , to the room, to the location, to the facilities and food. Perfect !!

It was excellent, the horizon pool is great and staff will serve snack food n drink to you free of charge . Saturday with live music playing while you enjoy dinner or swimming in horizon. The facilities , steamed room, sauna are complimentary and service are excellent The breakfast also wonderful , buffet and including A la cart .. I definitely will return . It really worth in value . Everything about our stay was absolutely incredible—from the warm and attentive service, to the spacious and beautifully designed room, to the pristine cleanliness, the crystal-clear sea, and the outstanding food. Staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi had been a dream of mine for years, and the experience exceeded all expectations. It truly felt like a dream come true. The highlights for me were definitely the dining and the service. At the Chinese restaurant "Hai Yan", the stir-fried dishes, shrimp with spicy sauce, and meat were hands down the best I’ve ever had at any hotel restaurant. At The Beach Grill, the grilled meat and coconut sundae were simply unforgettable. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature and watching the sun slowly set over the horizon right from our table made for an unforgettable evening. The level of hospitality was truly next-level—unlike anything I’ve experienced before. In the heat, a staff member brought us fresh fruits along with a handwritten welcome message, and even during a sudden downpour, everyone remained kind and cheerful. I was deeply touched by their genuine warmth and care. This is a hotel I’ll absolutely return to. A truly special place that I’ll never forget.

My husband and I stayed at the Ritz Langkawi for 3 days and could not have been happier with the service, food, and accommodations. Upon arrival we were upgraded to the rainforest villa, which was a very pleasant surprise. The service in the lobby, restaurants, and grounds was top notch. The food at all of the restaurants was delicious. We were sad to leave after the 3 days and hope to be back.

This hotel is pure luxury and we enjoyed our stay from start to finish. The staff are unbelievably friendly at all times. They make such an effort to be personable and will subtly offer to help with things before you even get the chance to ask! We chose to upgrade to an ocean villa which was absolutely stunning. Completely secluded in a beautiful setting. Wildlife all around and the most tranquil view of the sea outside the villa. The food and drink were amazing and even though the adults only pool/bar was closed for maintenance, the hotel opened two normally private villas with fairly large pools which we could enjoy. These were super quiet and the staff were continuously bringing us snacks and complimentary drinks (as well as food and drinks from the beach bar if we needed!). The breakfast was brilliant and the restaurant was picturesque, nestled into the trees. There was even a great gym and lovely areas to walk around. We had the absolute best time at this resort. It felt like a mini paradise and although it is not cheap, we felt it was worth every single penny. The small touches made everything even more special. We hope to be back one day!

Couple - Rainforest Room The challenge about staying at a Ritz-Carlton is that the service is the best in the world, so where ever you go afterwards, you will forever be remarking to your partner "remember how we stayed at The Ritz Langkawi, how good was that". Service: Every single staff member was incredibly friendly, caring and ensured our stay was perfect. From the moment you get to the property, security are welcoming, check in is a great experience and getting to your room is a breeze. Food & Beverage: Amazing service, with staff better trained than many Michelin Star restaurants I have been to. The food is great, the best of what I had on the island - an amzing breakfast buffet with cocktails, local and standard breakfast. The beach grill was great, Horizons was fantastic and Hai Yan was amazing. Everything about the stay was so good, I wish I could have stayed a few more days. We had to move to another hotel for a wedding, and everyday we are saying how good was the Ritz, enough that the bride and groom are heading over to experience true world class service.

Fantastic service! The staff all spoke great English and were extremely professional, friendly and service minded. Stunning sunset view! The horizon bar offers a fantastic view of the sunset and although the food menu is simple (it is a bar, not a restaurant) the food was great (and so were their cocktails!). We did not get the chance to try the onsite restaurants as we were only at the resort for a limited time, however the breakfast was excellent with both a la carte and a very nice buffet. Once again, the staff were fantastic. Amazing (adults only) infinity pool! Almost all sun beds were occupied, but it did not feel crowded at all! The atmosphere was calm and it really felt like we had the pool to ourselves. GREAT room! We had a deluxe room with sea view and rainforest view (plenty of opportunities to see monkeys close up). The room seemed newly renovated and was spacious and nicely decorated in a Scandinavian ish style. We really got a wow-feeling when walking through the door. I never write reviews, however this time I felt I had to do it. We also stayed at another resort in Langkawi which was around half the price of this one. It was decent, however I would recommend any couple to try out the Ritz - at least just for a few days. Our experience at the Ritz in Langkawi was next level!

Excellent. Absolutely lives up to its 5 star reputation. Service interactions were all welcoming, pleasant and accommodating to our needs. Our room was perfection. Balcony was pleasant, there is plenty of comfortable seating choices in the room. The bathroom is a highlight. Housekeeping service was impeccable, right down to a lovely bubble bath, strewn with rose petals, they prepared on two occasions. Diptyque products. Food at all the venues, particularly the breakfast buffet, was excellent. Spa services were very good and the spa setting is stunning. Grounds and landscaping are well maintained. There are some lovely garden walks to enjoy. The onsite gym is nice and was reasonably busy on the days that I used it. Beach is well groomed. We were unable to enter the water the few days that we were there due to warning flags. Pools were nice enough. The adult pool was closed for maintenance during our visit, an alternative pool was offered at one of the beachfront villas, but we did not use it. The family pool was busy with children, as expected. There was not much shade cover to be had at the adult pool and it would have been extremely hot baking the sun (hopefully they are addressing that with the renovations) Of note, the resort is on a very hilly slope. Our 3 story building didn’t have an elevator. There are plenty of golf carts available to take you where you need to go. If accessibility is an issue for you this could be a hindrance. Outstanding property.

I stayed at this resort in Mar 2026. It is clean, quiet, & secluded. All staffs greeted us with a smile at all time, and they even personalized our 25th anniversary with decoration and a custom made key chain; a small but meaningful gesture. Room service & turn down service were great. Pool and beach are clean. The only thing that needs improvement is the food; it was not bad, but not eye opening either. We will definitely consider going back if we can.
