The property was great, clean and had an awesome outdoor area to sit. Right near the market and places to eat. It was safe and easy to get in and outnof. The only negative I had was the bed, it was very ‘roll into the middle’ and obviously quiet old.

Central location and very convenient to access other points around that area where we were meeting other friends and relatives, Parking is limited but can be worked around, use of council parking next door not clear and possibly not suitable to met our needs regarding exiting on Sunday. But price was good and very convenient for the three of us for 2 nights

Crown is budget priced ($99 per night) so you can't expect an amazing experience. There is no concierge/front desk so, on the morning of arrival, you are sent a room number and an entry security code via email that allows entry to the front door and to your room. It worked seamlessly so full points there. It is an old hotel so it does have a charm of its own especially the lovely staircase. The room itself was sparse and my partner remarked that it could have used a better dust as there were a few dust webs around. There was tea/coffee making facilities but perhaps a toaster also would have been a handy addition. It has no car parking facilities of its own but is surrounded by ample street parking so no problem there. Its massive selling point is its location. It is situated one street back from the main highway through Bendigo and almost in the shadow of the Shamrock Hotel so it is close to all the local highlights (eg Bendigo Art Gallery would be an easy 5-10 minute stroll away.) At $99 per night, it doesn't pretend to be more than what it is so affords what I see as excellent value for money. I'd certainly return to it the next time I'm in Bendigo.

It's a comfortable enough room but small and wasn't very much in the way of storage. There was only 1 cup and 1 glass so cuppas for 2 out of the question. First night I had to call the police as there was a domestic dispute happening in the room across from ours. It's not good that there's no reception because it was extremely scary waiting for the police to arrive. Parking next door in secure carpark is good $10 a day. Great location. Within walking distance to most things

Can't comment on the facilities as we didnt stay there. Expected ground floor room as i have a disabled wife .Was given a room up 3 flights of stairs no lift. Car parking in the street. So we left went to s different town and paid to stay somewhere else. Can not possibly recommend. lost $200 for nothing

Room was small for 3 of us. It was clean. Very clean linen and towels. For the price was very good. Girl at cafe outside met us and helped us in. No staff but it was ok we had no issues. Car parked in the street at night was safe. Alot of other cars out there as well. Under roof car park next door. Kettle, cup, coffee and tea, no tea spoon. It’s only a room. Would go back again. Good.

I didnt end up staying, there were holes in the walls, toilet roll holder was on the floor, when there was a screwed up blanket next to the bed and when i pulled back the covers and noticed the small black curly hairs, i decieded to leave and find another place to stay, I did contact the phone number and they did offer to move me.. i just wasnt convinced it would be that much better.

Could not open the blinds at all as there was an alley where people could see into the room. The hot water in shower took 5 mins to heat and I was there for 4 nights and no one came to clean the room. No wardrobe to put luggage in. And very noisy at night. Never will I stay here again.

Room appeared clean but on closer look the bath mat had a brown stain on it and pubic hair on the toilet seat. Hot water took 15 minutes to come in. The bed was clean but extremely uncomfortable with springs sticking out

It was super noisy until 2am with music from pubs and the doors banging and we had to work the next day. Room was clean but no window felt a bit shut in. No shower pressure and too high to adjust the shower head. I wouldn't stay there again.

Extremely noisy. I booked this accommodation as a stop over for a 12 hour drive and barely got any sleep due to someone vacuuming at 9:45pm and then got woken up about 5 times during the night from loud neighbours and people in the hallway.

There was no remote control for the room and when we checked in with the admin they already knew that but still put us in that room. Also we weren't convinced the bed linen had been changed. Fortunately we were moved to another room.

Good location, very central, everything within walking distance. The light did not work and the walls were dirty., but the bathroom, linen and floors were clean We were promptly moved to a different room on the ground floor as no-one was availabe to fix the lighting issue. This room was very clean and everything worked perfectly.

Too be honest it wasn't a good start... But in saying that they have really done me a solid in my extension and now I am extremely happy... If I can say one thing is too book the rooms with the extra bed like room 30. So close to the mall and everything central. The room they have moved me too is extra comfortable and much better. I appreciate their help and understanding as well as the room I am now in... Thanks to all the staff. My initial ratings go up for this room.

Good location, very central, everything within walking distance. The light did not work and the walls were dirty., but the bathroom, linen and floors were clean We were promptly moved to a different room on the ground floor as no-one was availabe to fix the lighting issue. This room was very clean and everything worked perfectly.

It's a comfortable enough room but small and wasn't very much in the way of storage. There was only 1 cup and 1 glass so cuppas for 2 out of the question. First night I had to call the police as there was a domestic dispute happening in the room across from ours. It's not good that there's no reception because it was extremely scary waiting for the police to arrive. Parking next door in secure carpark is good $10 a day. Great location. Within walking distance to most things

It was convenient being near the center of town. full of loud people on weekends so definitely choose room 30 if staying.

Too be honest it wasn't a good start... But in saying that they have really done me a solid in my extension and now I am extremely happy... If I can say one thing is too book the rooms with the extra bed like room 30. So close to the mall and everything central. The room they have moved me too is extra comfortable and much better. I appreciate their help and understanding as well as the room I am now in... Thanks to all the staff. My initial ratings go up for this room.

1. No drinking glasses, no plates, knives or forks 2. No table. Only 1 chair (for 2 people) 3. No shower screen. Nowhere in shower for soap/shampoo. 4. Only one hand towel 5. Hand basin outlet missing cover 6. Internet too slow for netfix 7. Skylight control not working 8. No stove of any sort 9. No cupboards or bench 10. Handbasin tap loose 11. Toilet roll holder loose on wall. 12. No staff in time we were there 13. Laundry bags littering main enterance. Most of these faults are reatively minor issues that could be easily fixed.

They location, location, location! Yes, that was the good part. The room was poor, very dirty bathroom ceiling fan & shower screen where it meets the floor. The window to the room was wide open on arrival, it would not lock. Also suggest you install power points that have USB outlets for charging phones. There was no iron or ironing board, the noise from outdoors was horrendous due to the backs playing down the road. The street out front was “unsafe” with homeless people 24/7 swearing with all the worst language possible. The mattress was a trampoline style, if your partner moved you were catapulted… The room rate was near double the normal due to Easter. The rate was equal to a 4.5star Hotel stay in Lt Collins St Melbourne. I assume you wanted honest feedback?
