Radisson Hotel & Suites Amsterdam South

Nice hotel room, really nice breakfast area. However, it should be noted to travelers that this hotel is far from the areas of Amsterdam people want to see. There is also no mass transit to this hotel. We tried to get bikes from the hotel, but they were sold out both days we were there. So, we had to take a good amount of expensive Ubers.

Great stay. Great restaurant. Fully equipped 24 hour gym. Self service laundry on 3 floors. Indoor garage or park outside for free. Spacious room with new state of the art showers. Full kitchen. Great front desk customer service; thank you Eva. Friendly and helpful housekeeping; thank you Connie. 🙏 This was my first stay across Europe. It was so great that I stayed there again when I returned to Amsterdam before flying back to the USA.

Visiting the hotel was a joy in every way: the rooms are clean and comfy, the staffs are very friendly and open to questions, the breakfast was delicious and you had many options. We were a group of 4 between 24 and 29, all of us had a very good time at the hotel, especially when we made a tour with bikes we lent from the hotel (18 € per day per bike) wich made the way into the city much easier as the location of the Radisson Blu Hotel is on the outskirts of Amsterdam.

We chose the hotel as we needed EV charging! However the charging poles were operated by a separate company, that the hotel had NO info about. Poor service and interest to help 😮‍💨

The only issue was that there isnt room service you have to go and collect your food from the restaurant

We stayed in the suite. A very comfortable and modern suite. Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, staff were approachable and always had a smile on their faces. Modern appliances Great facilities (coffee/tea/ironing board and safe in rooms) Sound proof rooms Use of gym and laundry English-speaking channels Cons There needs to be an improvement with breakfast service. Breakfast was cold and service was slow with replacing foods. The buffet area was crammed, could be more space. Even though suites had coffee/tea making appliances, there were no tea/ coffee/milk were in the rooms. Overall, a great hotel, wouldn’t mind staying again if breakfast service is improved.

Parken war einfach, allerdings sollte man keine 17,50€ pro Nacht verlangen wenn man Gast in dem Hotel ist.

The staff was not pleasant and the rooms were nothing as expected the carpets were stained and dirty , I didn't feel comfortable walking barefoot and the toilets were also disgusting, I had a terrible experience here wouldn't recommend it to anyone

Cutleries in the kitchen area were not clean. Bedsheets not refreshed. Dirty towels not collected

Clean, great staff, just a great experience for a business trip.

We arrived late in the evening about 11pm. Check in was quick. Recieved a king vesture of tulips for mothers day. There was no water in the room, when asked the reception desk, husband was told he can buy bottled water, and told by another guy at the desk he can have the tap water in the room as it is the cleanest drinkable water in europe. We booked the premium room, there was only a bathtoom tap, no kitchen. Onky to be told in the moe ing by a nicer lind lady that we should have got welcome drinks at least, so she sent housekeeping to put it in our room. The room was dusty on arrival, so clearly had been left empty for a while. We were told if we needed anything to contact using this ipad system thing. Tried many times, it was not working so my husband had to go down to the reception desk. Last thing you need after travelling. Expected better from radissons.

Sehr ungepflegtes Hotel. Mein Bad hatte überall Schimmel in den Fugen. Das Frühstück war NAJA für ein 4 Sterne Hotel.

Everytime you took a shower the entire bathroom flooded we reported it they never fixed it. They never came to change out towels or take garbage out. We rented bikes for 2 days only used them one and they wouldn't refund us the money for the rentals.

The hotel is very spacious and clean. The staff was nice and friendly. It's about 25 minutes from city center.

I would like a refund. This was the worst experience in a hotel I have ever had the misfortune of being a part of. Here is what was not working in our room the ENTIRE stay, we had the suite with the kitchen: 1. The safe was broken 2. The Air Con/Heating was not working, and our room was freezing 3. Wifi was not working 4. The tablet was broken, this tablet gives you access to everything, reception, tv etc. You were not able to call reception as it was broken, and you were not able to adjust the volume on the TV as it was broken. 5. The TV system was not updated, so things like Netflix were not working and needed "maintenance" to fix it 6. The bathtub had clear makeup stains, I have photos 7. Towels had clear black stains, I have photos I called repeatedly from my phone, to ask for help but because it was in the evening "Geert" told me nobody works in the evenings and therefore we could not be helped. The next day I went and spoke to someone at the front desk and said can we at least make the minor fixes for the heating because it is absolutely freezing at night, or please move us and please fix the tablet so we can at least contact you. I was told I would be notified if the fixes could be made or if we were going to be moved. I was not, no fixes were made. The next evening I had the misfortune of speaking to "Geert" in the evening again. There is vide recordings in the hotel I am sure so please look over how this conversation went. Insgesamt gutes Hotel, allerdings etwas in die Jahre gekommen und Flugverkehr stark zu hören.

Out of town situation suited us and the suite was like an apartment with dishwasher and cooker. Fabulous master bedroom and bathroom with sauna

The rooms are very nice. The beds are incredibly hard.

Apparently the Radisson management thinks it's OK to lock room thermostats to 23 degrees Celsius in the middle of the winter. (Seems to be a common practice in Amsterdam.) After the complaint, the reception staff will pretend to have fixed it via computer, have you go up and down several times, and then pretend they have no clue why it's not possible to raise the temperature. Instead of admitting their policy and at least offering an extra duvet (or god forbid a small electric heater), they prefer to insult guests' intelligence. Excatly what a person needs in the midnight after an entire day of vegetating at the airport due to their flight being delayed for several hours only to be cancelled, and having to come back to the city. Disgrace of hospitality. Shame because it's a nice hotel otherwise.

Amazing suite! Spacious rooms, modern and very clean!

The apartment was specious. It had everything we needed. Only disadvantage was that it was 1.2km from the nearest tram station.

House keeping request stupid idea. Had to book before 9:00 am to request a clean but this is not convenient as you might not leave until after this time. We did this but they never came. Kitchen did not have proper dishwashing cloth to wash dishes only a brush Stated five days and not one replacement of supplies in 5 nights. And no recycling process in place. All dow to not having a regular housekeeping. They stated it was environmental initiative which is stupid ais they don’t recycle anything. And cannot be bothered to pay staff to clean regularly

When I arrived they were actually fully booked and it took them another 2 hours to sort a different hotel and taxi out. To say lots of people were in the same situation and we were all tired from delays there didn’t seem much urgency to sort the problem.

I stayed for 4days and I asked them to clean my room but they said it is full booked from check in and check out. Also the reception person at night is very rude.

I am grateful to the staff who were incredibly helpful and accommodating. Due to flight delays, I missed my connection in Amsterdam and had to find a hotel to stay the night. I had nob luggage and the staff were kind and helpful in giving me a robe and slippers so that I could wash my clothes.

What looks the best on website and externally does not guarantees the best when you step in. One of the worst Hoteling experiences from Booking @hotels.com, Checking in, Dining. Pain instead of pleasure ! - The Booking process is Fraudalant in your portal. The prices that you see while shortlisting change upto 20-30% higher . The basic cost of the room increases,various types of taxe get levied upon at time of making the payment ( Not disclosed before). - Slowest checking in at Process at the reception desk despite having 3 counters was among the slowest that i witnessed in last 5 years. The wait was almost 25 minutes being in a que and overall it was too slow. - Did not feel getting the value of money: The room size was too average( Rather small) after paying such high tariff ( Compared to other similarly rated hotels). - Worst dining experience in a Star rated facility: The waiting time to get attented was too long, not many options in the menu to dine , portions were too small, serving time was exceedingly long.

Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful

The property advertises a shuttle from the airport. There is none. When I arrived and questioned the manager she refused to speak with me. When I asked a check in clerk she furtively looked around and whispered that they had changed their availability but weren’t allowed to say that. These are very deceptive business practices. Finally, check in took over an hour and a half at 930 pm. Unacceptable all around.

The hotel is located far away from public transport. It is too far away from the city center if you want to visit the town and if you have no car. Around the hotel there is only companies ( no shop, no restaurant). However the room was very nice and the bed comfortable.

Good hotel with excellent public transport for visiting Amsterdam. Only a 10 minute walk to the tram service. Nice quiet location.

This property is not close to public transport, so please think before booking. An Uber or taxi will take on an average 10 to 15 minutes to get to the hotel. On top of it there is a lane closure near the hotel which makes it even more difficult to get a cab arrive on time.

War ein guter Aufenthalt. Hotel ist ca 1,6km vom ÖPNV entfernt.

Struttura molto curata immersa nel verde che permette di passeggiare in tutta tranquillità. Unico lato negativo la distanza dall’albergo alle fermate dei mezzi pubblici non troppo distante ma neanche a portata di mano

The room was great! The staff was helpful. The hotel it's self was in a very limited area. A long walk to the store. A long walk to public transportation. When I looked at it on the map I thought it was closer to the center of to Amsterdam.

Grundsätzlich in Ordnung. Allerdings muss ich sagen, dass ich mit dem Namen Radisson in der Vergangenheit noch deutlich besseren Service gewohnt war. Der Abfluss im Zimmer roch selbst nach Reinigung, das Frühstück ist grundsätzlich in Ordnung, das Nachfüllen dauerte zum Teil aber sehr lange. Das Personal war freundlich. Leider ist das Hotel ziemlich weit von den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln entfernt (Fußweg je nach Tempo ca. 15-20 Minuten)

The location was 50 minutes walking from BOS the amazing forest.The surronding of the hotel was the exact place who love nature.

I did stay 3 nights, during which time my room was not cleaned. Very rude personnel at reception told me that water bottles with "Enjoy" label were only for the first night and I should then buy new bottles 3.99€/pc. Hotel location is in the cul-de-sac, which means honestly 1.2km to the nearest public transportation stop (Kronenburg). Access to the bus stop in 350m is in reality 1.7km as there is no bridge over the 10m wide water element surrounding the hotel. Hotel sells taxi to city with 50€, while Uber takes about half. Therefore the lobby is full of people waititng for the Uber. I was no. 91 on the line. Hopeless, so no other choise but to walk to Kronenburg. -> no cleaning, no drinking water, poor location

Größtes Manko war für mich die Lage. Wenn man mit dem ÖPNV in die Innenstadt fahren möchte, dann geht das über die Straßenbahnlinie 5 ab Kronenburg (15min Fußmarsch). Diese ist dann gut und gern 30min unterwegs, bis man an die Hotspots kommt. Die Lobby des Hotels ist sehr schön und sauber eingerichtet. Eine Frechheit sind die Preise sowie an der Bar als auch in dem "Shop". Von den Zimmern war ich leider etwas enttäuscht. Es war zwar sauber aber schon etwas abeggrabbelt alles. Die Schübe der Schränke durfte man nur angucken, nicht anfassen. Der Fernseher hatte leider kein FullHD Programm. Andere Einrichtungen wie das Fitnesscenter wurden nicht genutzt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut, die Auswahl aber recht klein.

Beim Bestellen von Getränken wurde nicht die Auswahl vorgestellt, sondern das teuerste serviert.

I didn't get my room cleaned, and even though I requested it, I was told that they could not clean it due to a staff shortage and their new sustainable rules. They couldn't do it even if it took them only 5 minutes. The restaurant closed on Sunday and Monday for lunch and dinner. The only positive comment about the Reception Stuff is that they have tried so much to help me, but due to their cleaners, their hands are tied.

Schoon, netjes, rustig. Het hotel zou nog een zwembad kunnen gebruiken. Ontbijt buffet was prima. Enige minpuntje was het koffieapparaat op mijn kamer. Werkte niet.

Nice hotel but despite staying for 5 nights my room wasn't serviced once. Breakfast at 20 plus euros is also limited.

Die Unterkunft ist in die Jahre gekommen und wir hatten etwas anderes erwartet. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist viel zu klein für die Anzahl der Gäste und hat nur eine begrenzte Auswahl. Die Sauberkeit des Appartements lies Wünsche offen und es fehlte auch Toilettenpapier. Die Schranke zu den Parkplätzen funktionierte auch nur sporadisch. Von einer Empfehlung würden wir absehen.

Customer service was fairly brisk and cold. Chilly temperature in the bar / restaurant too. Food and drink expensive. As a hotel it was ok but don’t expect to be delighted.
